I know what "No Malarkey" means and it connects with my thinking but I am the same age as Biden and would never think of being a candidate for President, or even city hall. I would understand that my time has passed along with all that other malarkey.

I wish that entertainment shows would take a pass on putting on Presidential candidates until after the election. They are already constantly present on cable news and their own commercials and it further blurs the line between news and entertainment, not to mention that you aren't going to learn much from someone trying to sell themselves. In short, their booking is not going to have a Craig Ferguson/ Desmond Tutu interview moment of enlightenment and you will see better punch lines from an open micer at your local comedy club.

If you're unsure what the word malarkey means, just ask your grandparents. They should know. Unfortunately, Joe's slogan really isn't going to resonate much with the democratic electorate he needs to reach!

I thought Biden's "finger nibbling" was cute! It shows he is human. He loves his wife. She sort of giggled. I'm still all-in for Warren, though. Also, how adorable is Trevor Noah?

All because Trevor Noah has an ostentatiously limited vocabulary doesn't mean it's not a great slogan. It's brilliant in fact. All Biden has to do now is turn to Elizabeth Warren and say "C'mon, Professor Warren, we've had just about enough of your malarkey!" There is no possible response. It will also crush Trump. If there is one thing the American people do not like, it's being set up as suckers for malarkey. Now all we need to do is resurrect the bunko squad and the Republicans are finished!

Guess the SA to USA transition is not complete. I mean Trevor is almost pure malarkey.

Has anyone (beside Joe Biden) even said ‘Malarkey’ since 1943?

I'm 75, culturally a "WASP" and I know what that antique word "malarkey" means, but I don't think most people under say 65 do, and that kind of takes the pizazz out of the slogan if you have to consult your Funk & Wagnalls. Anyway, as Liza says, "vote blue, no matter who."

Good to know that Trevor Noah is still on TV - the only place I ever hear about him or see him is here - on the Grey Lady. Is he still doing his anti-Semitic or making fun of the Holocaust shtick - what a cut-up.

After eliminating malarkey Joe Biden will outlaw skylarking, horseplay, and other shenanigans by executive order. This will infuriate millions of the over 85 crowd who regularly engage in this behavior, but it will help reduce Medicare claims, saving the taxpayers lots of dough.

@Robert Nevins, if he outlaws puffery, phumphery, and other forms of now-legal lying then Trump is out of business.

John Mulaney is the best thing since - Robin Williams, perhaps? His comedy sensibility is delightful, hilarious, and dead on funny. I guess he really IS much different than Robin Williams, but I think he's the funniest guy I've seen. Hope he does more specials and SNL hosting!

Well we have another old man, way past his due date, mumbling and bumbling . He reminds me of myself, a grandpa that tells stories that no one really wants to hear and using words that went out years ago. Nice guy but irrelevant, However, compared to Trump who is also a person way past his due date but very dangerous and with bad intentions, Biden is a blessing. We need a kind and gentle person with respect for others. Remember, the Dems are loaded with very exceptional talents with lots of good ideas and Grandpa Joe will let them run with these and not interfere.

Re: Bloomberg's TV advertisements: There are only so many minutes of TV time available, so Bloomberg can buy all the time and prevent Republicans from getting any TV advertisements of their own except perhaps on Fox.
Liza (Chicago)
I find Joe's madness refreshing compared to some of the inauthentic "woke" comments made by other candidates. But - vote blue, no matter who.
Maggie (Maine)
@Liza I will vote for absolutely anyone the Dems put up in the general but it would be so nice to have someone with some gravitas and dignity in the Oval Office, not a goofball finger nibbler who uses words like “ malarkey”. I haven’t heard that since my Grammy died.

“In a poll conducted by The Economist and YouGov, a majority of Republicans said they considered President Trump a better leader than Abraham Lincoln.” Comedy will struggle to stand out as long as reality is this absurd.
Frankster (Paris)
@ChrisMas "Don't know that name Lincoln... he designs cars??
