When i first glance at this picture it seems to look like these women are in jail due to the matching white uniforms and the cell that is blocking off the room and the bunk beds. But if you happend to look a little closer it looks like someone is being released from jail due to the emotion going on around the room everyone seems happy and joy is filling up the room. So it leads me to believe maybe the poor old lady did nothing to be put in jail maybe she was wrongfully accused for something she never did.

On this picture I can see two people in the center of the imagine. They are hugging. The first one is an old women, and the other is an adult (I can't identify his gender, but I guess he is a man). They are dressed in white clothes and they seem to be in a prison. On a second thought this place seems to comfortable to be a jail. In fact, I could Imagine that this place is a mental asylum. Inside the Room there are other women that are talking to each other sitting in old chairs.
I can Imagine that the young person that is hugging the old women came here to visit her. Maybe he is working at this place as a doctor or a security guard because of the dress code that he is respecting. I think that the old woman is his mother and she is hospitalized there.

This picture was taken nowaday in south America. Given what we can see we suppose it takes place in a psychiatric hospital for women. In fact there are bars on the windows, on the door and one camera. there are nursing taking care of patients, the women may be hugging because one of them goes out. We can presume the woman on the left is family member.

They look like they are in a jail/prison because there are bars as an entry to the room and bars on the windows. There also seems to be a security camera in the ceiling. For those reasons I think it is a jail.

They look like they're in prison or at lest one of them is. I think that the girl with grey hair is getting out and is hugging an officer that helped her through this. Or it could be a rehab center and she's getting out. Most likely it is a rehab center because of what they're wearing. You also don't see jail cells just beds. But the girl with the grey hair looks really happy that she's getting out.
i think this is the Alabama department of corrections because of the writing on the mans back and this woman is saying her goodbyes to the inmates and staff here because she is probably done with her sentence.

I think that this picture was taken at some facility for women because of the bars and the clothes that they are wearing. Also said that because it looks like it's just all women in there. I also think that it's a meeting for the inmates to see their families just for a little while considering that there are people in there not wearing the uniforms. On the whole, this picture shows a prisoner being released. There are many details present in the photo that support my ideas. First and foremost I see dark, thick black jail bars towards the front of the scene. All of the people wearing all white uniforms are members of the establishment (prisoners). They are all women of various ethnic origins. Some are casually sitting in the background while the women in the front are embracing another. I assume that it is a fellow prisoner that means a lot to them due to their sincere facial expression and tender hand on the person's back. They are saying goodbye for the last time. The women on the left is wearing an opaque skirt and carries a phone in addition to a purse. Considering the variation in style and color of her outfit, she is picking up the prisoner. More I can find includes the word correction printed across the back of the prisoner's outfits. This puzzles me because the connection is vague. The woman in the blue shirt in the far back could also be picking up a prisoner. As far as location goes, I assume it is in the United States based on the ethnic diversity.

I think you have a bunch of valid points and that the details that you pointed out, are probably very accurate. I think that the woman is possibly being released and is embracing the guard and the woman to the left is probably taking her home.
I can observe that in the picture, two elderly, colored woman are hugging in what looks to be a correctional facility. I can also see that there is another smiling woman who seems to be an innocent civilian possibly a family member to pick them up. I can tell that this is a correctional facility for women only because there are only woman as well as bars, bunk beds, and the back of the woman's shirt says correctional on the back of it. I can infer that this lady is getting out of prison and her sentence is over and she is hugging an old friend she made while behind bars. I can infer this because the gate is open, she is hugging another inmate, and there is a lady in civilian clothing off to the side possibly there to pick her up. This is what I think is going on in this picture.

What i think is going on, Is these people in the uniforms that are kind of dirty but clean in some type of jail and theirs probably some type of family thing going on and there's family member's who visited the person in jail and there reuniting and hugging. We can infer that this picture is taking place in a Department of Corrections based off of the back of the woman's shirts. We also think this because the windows and doors are covered by bars, and it is visible that there are security measures being taken such as cameras. We believe this is a women's only facility based on the fact that it is occupied by women, as well as there are no male staff present. It is evident based on the measures being taken, that this facility is most likely a minimal security department because the inmates are able to sleep together in one room. The women hugging in the focal point of the picture are probably saying goodbye to one another, as one of them is being released. This accounts for the smiles on their faces, and the fact that the other woman looks like she is there to pick her up.

In the photo it looks like a woman’s correctional facility. I can see that there are people visiting someone they might know and I see that there are orderly’s sitting at their desk doing work. In the photo it looks like a lady is being discharged and being picked up by someone she knows, the older woman is saying good bye to what looks like her orderly that has been taking care of her while she was there. I can see that all the other orderly’s must know this lady and must like her because their all smiling. It looks like the lady is very happy to be leaving/ being discharged.
It looks like a jail. And a worker is being really friendly with the one of the guys.

Right away this looks like a mother and daughter reconnecting. Obviously they are some sort of correctional facility due to the bars and matching white outfits. It is located in the U.S. and I say that because the writing on their shirts is in English. You can see about 9 other women in the room at this time, two of which work there. I can tell by the fact that they are not wearing the white uniforms. There’s pink walls and multiple bunk beds lined up against the back half of the room. On the right side, between bars, you can see about five women who are in the facility, some of which are jealous. The women is being released and was greeted by her mother. I think that this person is finally let out of jail and their friend/family member is getting them out and it looks like they haven't seen each other in a long time. i can tell that it is a jail because there are cameras every 3 feet on the ceiling, the windows are barred up, there's bunk beds, everyone's wearing the same clothes, and in front there's like a cell door.

I think that this is a women's jail/prison because of the beds, the bars, the windows, and how all the women are dressed in the same, white uniform. I think this is a very nice moment, for a prisoner to embrace a correction officer because a lot of the times, they have conflict. I did not think about this picture as one of the women getting out of prison, that is a very intriguing inference! I thought maybe the older lady worked there but now it makes more sense as to why there is another lady standing there in normal clothing and holding her phone.

We think this is an all women's psychiatric ward of the Alabama Dept of Corrections (as per the back of the shirt). I had not previously considered that this could be a psychiatric unit, which makes sense due to the pink walls and the setting being more relaxed than that of a typical prison or jail. Furthermore, I agree that the woman with the Alabama Dept. of Corrections shirt on is a worker due to the fact that she is wearing a belt. If it isn’t a rehab center it has got to at least be a minimum security unit. I also agreed that the woman facing us is getting released and the woman to the left is her social worker or family member.

As most of you have observed, it's definitely a women's prison in Alabama. However, I feel like both women are inmates and have just seen each other for the first time in a long while. They are giving each other a hug, but in front of the woman who's 8 charge, some shape, form, or fashion, they are hugging the only way they are allowed to hug. When someone who's not in charge isn't around, then they will give hugs. Not a "side hug", if you will. One of the ladies could be getting the chance to go before the board and see if she can get out. That's my interpretation of the picture.
@Shannon I also think that the image is of a Women's Correctional Facility in Alabama, and that both are inmates and friends who haven't seen each other in a long time, along with the fact that one of the women could be getting their chance to go to their parole hearing in order to determine if they are able to be eligible for parole or not.

i think that a woman in black, on the left, is picking the old woman, in the middle, from jail as she has finished a prison sentence. The old woman is hugging what seems to be a prison guard with the initials 'authority of correction' on her shirt. As the old woman is leaving, she is bidding farewell to the guard.
I think that the two people are reuniting after something that happened. I'm guessing that they are good friends. In the background, people are dressed in white that are either sitting, standing, or possibility napping. By perceiving that there are black, metal or iron bars, I infer that the people who are wearing white clothes and shoes might be prisoners or mental patients. There is also a person who is wearing a blue shirt with black pants, I think the blue shirt person might be a nurse. But, it seems more like that they are prisoners because, there are windows that are boarded up regarding where they sleep. I think this is a photo of a woman in a women's correctional facility getting a visit from a family member or a friend. They look like they are in a jail/prison because there are bars as an entry to the room and bars on the windows. There also seems to be a security camera in the ceiling. For those reasons I think it is a jail.

You may be correct, but in my vision it has nothing to do with a prison. At first glance it would seem like that, but thoroughly observing it has changed my mind to think that it is a insane asylum. It gives of an aura of that kind.
I think the mother abnd daughter are both in jail for killing the mothers husband.Because the husband was an abusive and alcholic plus he had anger issues.So they killed him,but the mother only had about 10 year while the daughter had a life sentence.The daughter had a longer time because her finger prints where on most of the evidence.But the daughter thought she cleaned up all of the evidence.So they when to court and the case lasted for 9 months.

I have two theories i will list now. I think it is a prison because of the bars you see in the front and the beds lines up along the wall. You can see two people hugging as if something great just happened or they haven't seen each other in a long time. I think the case might be either one of their jail sentences was reversed or one of them is getting out of jail. They seem to be dressed similarly, so maybe they are saying goodbye as one prisoner leaves.

I think there are two prisoners that are reuniting because they have not seen each other in a long time. I know this because the two women look very sad but happy at the same time. I think they might have been separated or they might have been in different prisons. I can tell that there are only girls in here based on the background. This looks happy because there is a lady in the background looking at the people hugging and smiling. She does not look like a prisoner based on what she has an what she is wearing.

Your predictions of the relationships of the people don't quite make sense. There is no evidence and there is no way to tell whether they are related or close friends, or anything.
This looks like some kind of prison. The woman in the background indicate that the prison looks to be for women. One prisoner is hugging someone dressed differently from the rest. The person dressed differently has a belt on, along with jeans, and words on the back of their shirt, but they also are dressed in white. This could indicate that she is not a prisoner or is somehow different from the rest. There is also some kind of women who is in the background smiling at this interaction. She is clearly not a prisoner and is not wearing white clothing. She also is clearly a part of the situation. Whatever seems to be going on seems to also have the attention of the other inmate, so this cannot happen often. My guess is this is some kind of reunion and the two people hugging have not seen each other in a while.

In this picture I think this is take place in metal heath facility for women only and the hugging in the middle is mother and daughter relationship maybe the daughter hasn't seen her own mother for a long time. I think that the setting is in a mental hospital for women do to the fact that all the people you find in the pic is women. The girl hugging the person looks like a women due to the hair being long ish when I first took a gander i saw a belt and I assumed a guy but then i realized that women where them to and due to the fact that they have long hair proving that fact that this is a women only hospital and that all the workers there are women.
It looks like they're in a prison somewhere, and the woman being hugged is an inmate. From what I'm reading on the other person's shirt she looks like she may be a corrections officer or something. It seems like it could be a hug of maybe forgiveness or possibly they know each other. The woman in black standing by them seems to be happy, so I think that they're definitely happy to see each other. Maybe the hugged inmate is being released.

This center is not in the US, as the wording on the back of their shirts is not in English. Perhaps this center is in Mexico, as it seems to be Spanish. The room is pink and everyone in the picture appears to be female, leading me to believe that this is a Women's rehab center or jail of a sort. I think this is a correctional instatution. I think this because there are multiple people wearing the same "uniforms". I think maybe the women is getting released so she is hugging one of her friends or someone that helped her get clean or sober or on the right path. Also another clue is that they are all women and in nursing homes you will see men and women so this could be a women's correctional instatute.

I that the person getting hugged with the shirt with the writing and the back was possibly in jail, because it shows a cell where they are at, and the lady hugging them is probably a family member or a close friend that was coming the visit the person in jail. We think that this photo is taken in a detention centre. We see this as different from jail; jail is about punishment and correctional centres are about helping you reintegrate into society. The bars, the bunk beds, and the uniforms that say "Department of Correctional..." led us to believe this. We do not think it is jail because of the open doors.
We think that the older woman in white is leaving the facility since the door is open, and she is hugging her friend to say goodbye. The woman without uniform is recording this emotional moments. Because she does not have a uniform this role is ambiguous.

I think that these women are in a jail or mental hospital based on the bunk beds and jail doors this photo was taken from. i also see that the elderly women is hugging the younger women while the women dressed in nicer clothes watch. i think that this maybe some kind of program because u can see another women in the background in the photo wearing nice cloths to. there must be a lot of women there based on the bunk beds in the room.

In this picture, I see and older woman hugging a younger woman. They seem to be in a trusted, open, female jail. The windows are open with tons of sunlight and there are tons of bunkbeds close together. The older woman might be a patient at the jail and her friend or family member is coming to visit, or vice versa with the younger woman. They seem to be fairly happy to see eachother which leads me to belive its someone close she knows. I also think its a womans jail beacuse I only see women and the walls and beds are pink.

I see an old woman hugging a younger woman. I think that the younger woman is a guard of a hospice, where the old woman was hosted, and as she (old woman) was there for a long time they became friends.
I thought this, because the girl who is sit on the bed (top right corner) is with the same outfit as the old woman, and the young woman is wearing the same clothes as her coworkers (down right corner).
I can also see a journalist or a news reporter standing next to the old lady (left corner), who is probably there to notice something about the woman who is lefting the hospice.

The students at Nova HS in my language group think that this picture is taken at the Alabama Department of Corrections, in a minimum security prison. The people in the photo have on belts, which shows that they are low risks, as well as the windows are open. There are many people living in the room, also showing that the people there are not very dangerous and would likely not hurt each other.

It is so confusing the bars reminds me of a prison but it is so bright and cheerful in the background almost every one wearing the same thing they left the gate open and people seem to be fine and the other tow seem so happy like ones finally leave or visiting her and people don’t seem worried at all
@Liz Maybe everything is more open because there are people coming in to visit the prisoners. That might be why there are a few other people in the room that aren't wearing the same clothes as the rest of the inmates.

In this picture it appears to be at some type of women's correctional center. i can tell because of the uniforms and the set up of the building. You can also see that that in some way what's going on is meaningful, because the two woman are hugging and the woman behind them is smiling. One question i have is what type of correctional center is it? It doesn't appear to be very high security because of the gates being open.

From many comments I've read, people seem to know what's going on. On the back of most of the woman's shirts it says Alabama Department of Correction. It seems a lady being hugged that is probably being released and escorted out by the lady watching her hug her friend. They are most likely friends from being in the correction department together.
I believe this is someone leaving a woman's department of corrections and I think its in Alabama because you can almost make out the word on top of the lady in the picture getting hugged. This is a couple years old and I can tell because the lady's phone is outdated compared to today. the lady on the left getting hugged I think is leaving because she is facing the door and the lady that is dressed normally is next to her. Also to show that she is leaving to door is wide open and everyone seems happy for her.

This a correctional facility, and there is definitely a turn around in life happening. I think the women with her backside shown just got released from prison (inferring that she just walked through the door). There could also be visiting time going on since the women that are not in uniforms are interacting with the ones that are in uniforms. The other inmates watching have smiles on their faces, the joy of being free is something special to them. The photographer who could be a friend or family member just knew that this was gonna be a special moment between all these people. The pink walls also make me believe that this is an all women's wing in the facility.

This means that they must have done something wrong to be entered into this department. One of the ladies that are hugging is leaving the correction department. I know this because one woman in the center is dressed normally, hinting to the fact that she is coming to get the woman that is being released. The woman in the shirt that has the Alabama Department of Correction on it is saying goodbye to another woman in the department of correction. In this department, there is really bad security. I know this because the cell doors are wide open--someone could just get up and walk out. Based on this evidence, there is a woman that is about to be released from an Alabama Department of Correction that has really bad security.

I believe that one of them, the one whose face we can see, is getting out of jail/ prison after a very long time in the slammer. The prison is located most likely in Alabama based on the back of the lady’s shirt. It looks like they're maybe in a correctional facility, and a family is visiting an inmate. We can tell it's a corrections facility based on the uniform they're wearing. It could have been a long time since the two women who are hugging have seen each other because the other woman off to the side is holding her phone. This could be signaling a reaction that might've been photographed. It looks like a visiting room because of the families that are in the room and the environment that is pictured. It has lots of light and looks airy, which is inviting to visitors.
I think that people are leaving a mental hospital. Someone who used stay at the mental facility is probably leaving, and there is a "happy" feeling in the environment. There are smiling faces, and I assume that one women has her phone out to take pictures of this special moment. I also assume that this is taken at a mental institution because of the simple, white uniforms to avoid distractions between the patients. In the background, there are bunkbeds that further maintain the simplistic environment. Lastly, two people are hugging, one of which is an employee, and one is probably the patient ready to leave.

The people in this picture are most likely prisoners. However, I think they are prisoners who did not commit major crimes or had good behavior. I make this conclusion because they are in a cell together and seem to have nicer beds. They are probably getting released from prison or are being visited. The people in normal clothes are probably their family.
The people in this picture appear to be behind bars which leads me to believe that this is some kind of correctional facility. The people are all women and there are beds lining the walls of the room. The women are all in white and the words that I can read on the shirts are Alabama and Correction. I can assume that the shirts fully say Alabama Department of Correction. There are people in the background who are not wearing the uniforms. They are probably visitors on a visiting hour. The two people in the forefront of the image could be saying goodbye because the prisoner is leaving. The women standing next to them is smiling at them and looks happy about the person, who could be a family member, being released. The windows are opened, but barred, which leads me to believe that this is for people who are not high risk.
In this picture we see a large prison cell which I assume is for prisoners who did really well in regular prison and are put in a special cell with other inmates. I think that maybe one of the imitates is going home, so that is why there is a women in normal clothes looking so happy. I also think this is a communal prison because the bars, and the prison uniforms that read Alabama department of correction.
In this picture, it appears that two jail or mental health facility inmates are reconciling, or the woman facing us could be a family member of the other women. Seeing as that all of the participants are women and there are bars as a door, it can be assumed that the people are in a sort of correction facility. The back of their shirts ends with the "Department of Correction." Also, because of the pink walls (although this might be a stereotype), we can guess that all of the inmates might be women. It is probably the first one, because I can assume she is leaving due to the women who looks like she is her family. I can also assume that it is more likely a mental hospital because the outfit is not orange. It is a recent picture due to the high quality and the phone in the woman.
There are two women hugging in each other in this photo. This appears to be a happy setting since the woman to the left is smiling at them. They look like they are in some type of prison or rehabilitation center. It could also be a mental asylum. I think this because the women are wearing all white, so they are definitely admitted somewhere. I think is is a woman being released from a minimum security prison because of the expression on their face and how she is hugging the other inmate saying goodbye. I can also infer that it is a minimum security prison because of the style of doors with the bars and the open area in the prison.

The bunk beds in one big room and the barred but open windows suggest also suggest that it is a minimal security prison. She is glad to be leaving but will miss her friends.

I think that they were separated when they went to jail. They could be sisters or some sort of relatives but they could also be friends. This could possibly be a reunion because you can see the emotion in the picture when the two ladies are hugging.

@VTS Moderator We think this is a prison in Alabama, and in prisons, genders are separated. In terms of the photo overall, we think it shows a woman being released from prison and saying goodbye to her fellow inmates. This might be a case where the woman was wrongfully imprisoned. We think this because the woman to the side with the phone looks very happy. We think this photo was taken within the last ten years, because of the phone and the clothing worn by the two non-inmates.

We think this could be a jail cell. We think this because there are bars on the door and bars on the window. We notice cameras on the ceiling as well. This is a mental hospital or some type of jail. I know this because there are cameras and all the people except one in the picture are wearing the same outfits. The lady holding the phone is meeting one ladies hugging who is getting out after a long time. I know this because she has a big smile on her face and is holding a camera. In conclusion, someone is getting out of jail and meeting someone after a long time.
The building that the people are in prison. I know this because there are workers in suits and the walls are bars. Pink is supposed to relieve stress or help you focus. The lady smiling next to the two ladies hugging is the one ladies’ daughter. I know this because she seems to be smiling and looks happy for the lady. The prison is in Alabama. I know this because on the back of the people shirts it says Alabama. In conclusion, there are two people greeting each other in a prison in Alabama.
This picture takes place in the present day. I know this because the picture is very clear and one woman is holding a phone. This takes place in a correction facility for women. I know this because there are multiple women sitting on bunk beds wearing white and they are all in a room together with bars. Also, on the back of their shirt, it appears to say, “Alabama Department of Corrections”, so I know that this is where they are. The two people in the front of the picture is a son coming to visit his mom. I know this because the woman looks very emotional to see him and everyone is happy to see what is going on.
In this picture of the week, I can conclude that someone is leaving a mental hospital and saying goodbye to his friends and doctors. I know this because he is hugging someone and the people in the background are smiling. The person must be discharged from the hospital and is saying goodbye. Next, I know this is a mental hospital because there are beds and bars. Mental hospitals, especially older ones, typically have bars like that. Next, the person who is leaving is sad to say goodbye. I know this because he is hugging his friend and saying goodbye. He also looks upset that he is leaving. In conclusion, this picture shows a person getting ready to leave a mental hospital, saying goodbye to everyone.

The women are being released from some a low-security prison. I can tell because there are bars on the sides of the image. The women are meeting after many years. That is because they are bugging eachother and look happy. I think they are all leaving the prison because tehy are wearing the same uniform, That is why I think they are in a low security prison and are being released.

They are also bars in the front like jail bars. This is a low-security, and not as intense prison. I know this because the doors are wide-open. They also have nice bunk beds and the walls are painted pink. Someone is leaving. I know this because the two people in the front are hugging and the door is open which indicates someone may be leaving. In conclusion, they are in low security, low maintenance prison and someone is leaving.

To begin, in this photo you can see two women hugging outside of a cell. They both are joyous and seem to be reuniting. From this photo, I can conclude that these two women may be reuniting outside of a jail, correctional facility, etc… Furthermore, in this image, you can see lined up bunk beds as well as a few women in a circle of chairs. From this, I can conclude that this is probably a correctional facility in which these women are part of this jail, correctional facility, etc…Lastly, you can see most of the women are wearing thicc white jumpsuits while a select few are wearing general clothing. From this, I can conclude that this may be a visiting day and some of the women are visiting friends or relatives who are in this facility.
In this picture, a girl is getting out of prison after being there for a long time. In addition, they are all wearing the same clothes. The girl giving the other girl a hug is her mom and the girl in the outfit is the one leaving prison. Additionally, the girl with the braids is wearing the outfit everyone else is wearing. Also, the door is a bunch of metal bars. Additionally, the people are all on one side of the metal. In conclusion, one person is getting out of prison and her mom is coming to give her a hug.
In this picture i see people that are in a prison because there are iron bars with a keyhole and they are all wearing the same white suits. The two people that are hugging i think are family because the shorter/older lady looks really happy to see the person she is hugging and the lady right next to her that is dressed nice is one of her daughters from my observation. I think the people in the prison are maybe taking a class on recovering from prison life because there are so many in one room and they all look pretty peaceful.
In this picture, I think that it is an all women jail, and one of the two people hugging is being released. So, they are saying bye to everyone. That is why the lady with the phone is smiling.
In this picture there is inmates hugging in prison. What makes me say that is there is a cell, and people wearing white uniform or clothing. I can also find a lady with a phone and not wearing white uniforms, behind the people hugging.
We think that the person in the photo is leaving a health or jail facility, so she is hugging a happy farewell to the people who work/live there.
I think the two people that are hugging are prisoners meeting up with each other after a while. You can tell this from the bars and the bunk beds in the background.
They are in a correction facility and this mother is visiting her son. It looks like they haven't seen each other in a while. There are other inmates in the visitation room. The mother brought what looks like her daughter to visit her son. They all seem happy to see each other.

I see a female correctional facility (bars, similar outfits). A woman from the staff (she has a belt ) is hugging one of the inmates. while civilians (maybe health care employees) are visiting nearby. the cell is open and also the door on the right so I presume It isn't a high-risk facility.
By the look of the woman on the left, I guess she is the inmate relative. A very touching photo

I can see two people hugging eachother. They are living in a home for older people. I think they are happy beause the man on the left is a child visiting his father.

i think they were the people were saying good bye because they one was being let go to go home getting picked up
