Yeah, for those who watched the game, we noticed it was PG and Leonard who bombed during clutch moments and Clippers Beverly and Lou Williams who won the game. Specifically in the dying seconds of regulation Kawhi hung onto the ball then launched a brick instead of passing to the open - and very hot-handed Williams - for a much better shot.
"If we trust the pass" Rivers was quoted. Clearly, Kawhi didn't trust the pass to his better-shooting teammate.
Still, it was a fantastic game and potential view of the NBA Finals match up.

I no longer live near LA, but I grew up a Laker fan. And, oh yeah, I knew the Clippers were in town too. I've managed to leave the Dodgers and Rams behind. Both are faded memories, like eerie photographs of the city in summer smog. But not the Lakers. Well, not anymore. I got caught up in the trade hype this off season. The LeBron James/Anthony Davis face off with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will be spectacular. The winners will be Kings. They will own the city and the NBA.
It seems appropriate to quote Tommy Lasorda, a King from memory past: "It's tough to be a fan," he said. I'd like to believe I am not only older, but wiser, now--that I will enjoy the fight and not take sides. But, I know it won't work like that. I'll watch and learn this season and find it hard to believe just how good these teams become by April. And, I'll chose sides for the play-offs.
As LeBron says, "the winner will be Staples Center." Can't wait. Even the rams came back to So Cal. Why not me?
Hope I chose the winning team, though. Tommy is way too right about how difficult fandom can be.

@michael So, You're saying the Sacramento Kings are the best NBA team in Los Angeles...interesting take.
It was a great game. One of the best so far this year. Also, I really don’t care about load management, I care about good basketball. Players can rest and take off any time they’d like and for whatever reason.

I love our coach who is talking like a certain baseball guy ““I think I know what to expect,” Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said about an hour and a half before the game began, “but I don’t really know what to expect.””
Wonderful that Kawhi has decided to play 10 out of 15 games (66.7%) so far this season. Load management for him. No load management, and a change of position, for LeBron. Guess who owns LA.
