Look at Tre Jone's shoe in the lead photo. It appears weirdly misshapen by force. I notice they are still wearing Nike after the Zion blow out. It would be terrible if another athlete were injured by a shoe failure. Nike has as much experience with basketball players at the extremes of sport as any company out there, but this looks off. Can anyone shed light on what is going on with that shoe? Also, hard to watch all the fouls. Youthful exuberant play that was down to the buzzer exciting despite being a bit ugly. Portends a fantastic season ahead!

KU couldn't control the ball for more than a few seconds before turning it over. Maybe they will learn something about basics this year.

If defense wins championships, as conventional wisdom suggests, the Blue Devils are going to be the beasts to beat. Forcing 28 turnovers from an experienced and talented Kansas team portends a long tournament run for Duke.

This Duke team will go further in the tourney than last year's. KU and MSU are overrated (the Spartans, in particular, are destined for disappointment. They only make a run when little is expected). Kentucky is legit. Florida and Louisville will be good, too.
