I'm so tired of journalists writing about (usually female) actors who wanted to be scientists/engineers/astronauts, but became highly paid, well-groomed actors instead This line of discussion is not clever; it is uninteresting and insulting to real scientists, who often can't find the time to squeeze in a haircut. Being a scientist is hard--you must love the process, because, unlike in the movies, Eureka! moments are rare. Who cares that Portman wanted to be an astronaut when she was a child? She decided she'd rather play one on TV.

@Llola and yet Eisnstein, the greatest of them all, found time to love and play the violin, and quite proficiently sd well. The more dimensions one has in life, the richer the life.
