The call of the 5 minute major in the SJS-VGK game was correct. First, the player was cross checked and then, as he was off balance a second player drove him into the ice. Regardless, that Game 7 between those two teams was one of the most exciting in decades. I haven't heard a crowd scream that loudly since the Blues first appeared in the Cup finals in the late 1960s in the old St Louis Blues arena, where the broadcast booth had windows that could open and the play by play man would hold the mic out the open window to pick up the amplified crowd.
Dwight Ware (Gloucester, MA)
Adam Fox for Calder.

The Rangers and Devils will be interesting to watch with some exciting offense as Kakko and Hughes develop and hopefully help lead them both to a return to the playoffs.
Koid (Hockeytown)
SCF Sharks v Devils w Sharks in 6. Pete DeBoer beats his old club with his new club for his first SC.
Bryan (CO)
@Koid I'm a Devils fan and I don't hate this prediction.

No mention of the Toronto Maple Leafs? Huh? The Leafs have added defence ... signed their star players ... and ‘should / could’ win it all ... the Stanley Cup is the toughest trophy to win ... I’d Love to experience THAT parade after seeing the Raptors win it all in June ... I was a teen when the ML’s last won 4 times in the 1960’s ... Come on Men !!! It’s about time ....

It's been a long, lo-o-o-ong time for suffering Leafs fans. Maybe in 2020 they sweep the Bruins in Round One. But then ....
