Love Il Buco. I go every time I’m in New York. Excellent food and great waiters, bartenders and hosts. It’s unusual for a returning out-of-town guest to be remembered in a New York restaurant, but somehow they remember me. Always great conversation at the bar. —

Sam Rivers' storied loft jazz space, Studio Rivbea, was also on the block.

In my hood; I adore this spot, especially its subtleties. Hopefully I won’t have to wait twice as long for a table now. Bo
