Down to earth, funny as all get up. The best laugh I've ever heard.

"Barry" is brilliant. By turns hilarious and moving and suspenseful. And at times, terrifying. I can't wait for Season 3. Harder shouldn't worry if someone on a plane swipes by it.
NA (NYC)
Sorry, don't mean to make your life Harder by misspelling your name, Mr. Hader.
Julie (Houston)
I like him because he is interesting.

Like "pollyb1", I have a huge crush on Mr. Hadler! He's phenomenal, such a talent ... I adore him.

I like, love Hader. Like I always have, like you know, he was the like best, very best comedian on SNL except for like Wigg. She was like one of the best too and the two of them were like...wow! Like the very best. Like I just loved "Skeleton Twins"....I was like... Perhaps when the interviewee continually says "like" every third word or so, the interviewer should consider changing the article format for publication. I do love Hader (and Wing) but his use of that word over and over again is annoying and I felt embarrassed for him.
Lorraine (Oakland)
Bill is right. "The Skeleton Twins" is a wonderful movie. The guy on that plane flight missed out.
Jim Richardson (Ellicott City, Maryland)
I especially like the scene where Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig lip sync to Starship’s Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now. Terrific!

I’d still love you, Bill, even if you did something mediocre. You have a gift that’s very special. “Barry” is the most original show in years. My husband and I are hooked. It’s refreshing to read an interview of a celebrity who gives voice to their fears. That makes you so much more relatable. And maybe anxiety keeps you from getting lazy and complacent and probably informs your work. Just know we think you’re terrific and look forward to watching you for years to come.

I have such a crush on this man and I'm old enough to be his grandmother.
Kathryn (NY, NY)
@pollyb1 - I’m with you, Granny! He’s a cutie-patootie. I’m 72;-)
Real Thoughts (Planet Earth)
@pollyb1 Ditto. He is 'nerd perfect.'
Rebekah Donaldson (Davis CA)
I can’t even get through a preview of the new “It”. The main premise seems to be terrorizing children, with the added twist that desperate parents can’t reach their children to provide protection. Do these writers, directors and producers not see today’s headlines?
Zoenzo (Ryegate, VT)
@Rebekah Donaldson Read the book. It is about friendship, relationships with parents good and bad and surviving, loyalty and love. Banding together to fight something that is bigger than you and persevering. The movie takes that into account.
Erose (Mill Valley)
Bill Hader is a national treasure. He's one of the hardest working comics/actors out there. It's so refreshing to see someone care about quality and craft! And the Skeleton Twins was wonderful!
Harley Leiber (Portland OR)
Bill Hader...comic genius.
Robert (Red bank NJ)
Love Bill Hader and I love Barry. Was happy to see him win an Emmy and it's nice to see him have continued success. I think he has everyone's attention now more than ever and he seems like a grounded genuine perso.

Mr. Hader If by chance you read these comments, I loved The Skeleton Twins. Your performance in that film was when I realized you had some serious acting chops. I love Barry. I hope Season 2 gets released on Netflix soon.
Wendy Pederson (Grand Forks, ND)
"...as you get older, what you’re scared of changes into very real-life things. You lose people in your life, and it’s brutal in a different way." This explains why I cannot handle horror shows/movies/books at all. My real-life world leaves me scared so much of the time that adding more fright to it is overwhelming and panic inducing. Thank you, Mr. Hader, for putting that feeling into words.
Jen (Midwest)
Don't be scared to watch your own work! It's great! I've loved watching your acting ever since seeing Forgetting Sarah Marshall. If I see you're going to be in a movie, I'm way more likely to watch it. Looking forward to seeing It Chapter Two!
John D. (Detroit)
I just love Hader's work. He's shown us that the emotional core that motivates his memorable SNL characters (Stephan!) also informs his more complex dramatic roles (Like Skeleton Twins and Barry). For viewers, this has been a magical ride, and it just keeps going. I wish Mr. Hader could sense how his work resonates with viewers, but I also appreciate how emotionally taxing that work can be. We love you, Bill. Please let that be a spiritual salve during the stresses of Barry Season 3.
K Henderson (NYC)
Hader in Trainwreck was great in that role. Breezy comedy is not easy to make but it worked. I do not understand the girlfriend character at all in the first season of Barry. She is Hot/Cold to Barry for no apparent reason except for the writers to keep that relationship delayed into another season? It was enough to turn me away from the series.
Kathryn (NY, NY)
@K Henderson - stick with it. We felt that way too. The girlfriend gets more relatable.
Max (NYC)
@K Henderson She likes him but she's also a narcissistic self absorbed actor, that's why her behavior made sense.
