More cheap garbage from Seth Rogen. What a bore.

This film is a waste of time and money. Go see "Blinded by the Light"--it may be corny, but it's delightful. Viveik in the lead is most charming.

Disgraceful and disgusting

I’m a progressive — and yet as a child development and behavior expert, I find this Hollywood product to be obscene— no value whatsoever to children and youth. All for investor revenue— short term thinkers. This film is extremely developmentally inappropriate. Nothing funny about it. When will people in power holding bags of money take responsibility for creating such filth?

Mixing 12-year-olds with very explicit sex jokes, intoxication, and paraphernalia of various sorts. Judging from the trailer for this film I was forced to see, this piece proves that there is a legal spectrum of child porn.

I stopped reading after "The latest from the producers Seth Rogen". Maybe it's just me, but he is not my cup of tea. To each his own.

No, no, no! You don’t get it! It’s really a parable about the zeitgeist of adult males in our current administration.

I will see this movie. I will see it despite the nausea I felt during the trailer when the kids ran across the freeway. I will see it despite the requisite stupid drug jokes. I will see it despite my knowledge that it will be at best, so-so, and a far cry from The World of Henry Orient or even Stand By Me. I will see it because I am at the point where I will see just about anything that does not involve superheroes, aliens, zombies, isn't a sequel, and is based on an original screenplay rather than "existing IP."

We are so worried about Trump when we have movie makers making R rated movies for 12 year olds.
Nicole (Falls Church)
@Rich Murphy - Are you not able to distinguish between the magnitudes of difference between trump's uninformed blunders and a movie that people may choose to see or choose to ignore?
Jaylin (Natick)
Great review..yeah.. "seen it" many times

I don't understand who this movie is for; who's the audience? Why would grown-ups want to watch a trio of boys go around not-understanding adult things? I've (unfortunately) seen the commercials many times and I can't picture what kind of adult would find it hilarious that the boys play on a 'sex swing' like it's a playground swing. All I can think is "gross" and "thank God I don't have children" since I think the shenanigans of these kids would be even less funny in real life...
Elizabeth Cooper (Birmingham,Alabama)
@LBW I totally agree. Who is the intended audience? I was uncomfortable watching the trailer and hated that those boys were asked to play and played such offensive roles.
SteveRR (CA)
@LBW The same people who went to see: Superbad, Booksmart, Revenge of the Nerds, Room, It, Mid90s, Stand By Me among the dozens upon dozens of coming of age movies. And it is currently scoring in at 79% Fresh at RT
nickdastardly (Tampa)
@LBW I can’t wait to take my grandkids to see it. They’ll find it hilarious.

Oh boy, more uncomfortable and squirm-inducing comedy. We seem to have a nearly infinite supply of that stuff these days. Why is funny so often mean in modern comedy? And a movie starring three kids who can't even go to the theater to see it without a "parent or guardian"? Do we really need that?
