This article was very inspiring to me because it shows the bad side of the world that we are not seeing. I have heard stories in books about families getting separated. But listening to this and hearing the emotion in her and her family member's voice change the way that I thought about family separation. I was very happy to hear that he wrote the diary to explain that he loves his first family in America and that he wants to know that they are alive. I am also happy that her mother finally forgave her father and isn't holding anything back.
