Years ago there was a clothier in Beverly Hills on Beverly Drive. Upstairs was the barber shop. One of the barbers cut Harry Karl's hair. Harry owned the Karl's Shoe chain. I don't think there is a Karl's Shoe Store in existence today.
Harry Karl spent a lot of time in Hawaii, so one time he paid for his barber to fly from Beverly Hills to Honolulu. As a joke, his barber put on a cast on his arm. When he arrived at Harry's home in Hawaii he walked into Harry's house with the cast on.
The barber said to Harry, "....thanks for inviting me over here for a couple of days...I really needed some time off after the accident...."!
