Given all the issues with emails not being received (I did not receive a confirmation email during submission either), it would be nice to have an update on the process (especially since the Jan 15 date has long passed).
Maybe just publish the list of folks that have been accepted, instead of relying on email?

Has anyone heard from the NY Portfolio as to whether or not they got in? They were supposed to notify on the 15th of January.
I realize that applicants who are accepted into the review would be notified in January; however, since I didn't receive a receipt of submission would a general email communication be sent out to those who wasn't chosen to confirm the application was received?
For anyone wondering about email confirmations--if you use Gmail like I do, check your Promotions tab! My confirmation got auto-categorized and I didn't notice until a few days ago because I never check Promotions. You can also search "nytimes;" it didn't show up for me if I spelled it out in full for some reason. Hope that helps!

I just submitted my application. I was concerned to see that th e thumbnails of the photos I selected did not included the whole picture, however reduced in size. Will the reviewers see the full picture?

My question is do we have to submit a selection of photos from different projects to showcase our work, or just send one photo theme project? I’ve been trying over the years for The NY Times Portfolio Review, so I am crossing my fingers to be selected this year.
This is an amazing offering, resource and aide for photographers by the New York Times; the list of reviewers is long and varied.
