I saw this show last week in New York. I've seen Cher in concert and if you're a Cher fan, you can't not like this show. Stephanie Block really nailed the Cher persona and the actor portraying Sonny was great. Go and sit back and enjoy the music!

Wonderful article--makes me want to buy tickets today! After reading it, I feel sure I will love the show--just as I love Cher!

I loved Cher in Vegas ten years ago, intrusive security search and all. I love Stephanie Block always, and now I can’t wait to see all the stars. (Thank you for this article.) Tune of “The Way of Love” (Cher rendition) When you see a Cher That you like a lot But you want one more Broadway says: Guess what? There in front of you Come on, look and see Sure we’ll give you two Buy one, get one free. But the Great White Way Has you saying “Whoa!” (That’s a Cher cliché Like you didn’t know.) When you look up there Can it really be? You pay for one Cher Broadway gives you three. Great White Way of Dough. The Way of “Whoa!”

I saw this in Chicago. The great thing about it is it's not an impersonation, so no one is "doing" Cher. The actors inhabit their characters amazingly and besides being dazzling, the show is uplifting, which we could all use right about now!

to William B ... Amen to that! While looking forward to The Kennedy Center Honors this year, as her recognition is soooooo overdue ... I am already planning to be quite disappointed as no one can 'do' Cher. There is only one who can do or be her -- and she'll be in the audience:) Where I very much will be glued to, watching her up in the honoree seats. Whoever her narrator / emcee is will be interesting. Might be Meryl Streep did I hear? See her live, watch a concert video, rent a movie -- see her as her.

I am going next month, despite everything telling me, “but it’s not Cher.” I hemmed, hawed, and finally gave in. Cher has been my idol since I was a teen in the 70’s. Indeed, back then, I was told over and over, “you look like Cher!” But, I’ve never seen her live. Oddly, I’d rather see this show and leave disappointed, then see Cher perform and possibly be less than completely entranced. She personifies a fantasy life I’ll never have. The cliche, “ never meet your heroes,” applies.

I’m sorry, but only Cher can do Cher...
