This week the article learning With: 'Stan Lee Is Dead at 95; Superhero of Marvel Comics' interest me the most because this week is a comic con, and every year im always be looking forward to going. Every year I go I get to see lots of people get dressed as one of my favorite superheroes. I have lots of favorite Marvel characters like Captain America, Thor, and more. I also love watching superhero movies when i have nothing to do. One of my favorite Marvel movies is End Game. Stan Lee was an American comic-book writer, editor, publisher of Marvel Comics. Stan Lee death was heartbreaking to many people but he was inspiring to others and touched millions of souls. His work continues to inspire others to do something you like “If you are interested in what you do, that keeps you going.” - Stan Lee Stan Lee though may people heart and was one of the most influential writers and publisher in the comic book industry.

Stan Lee was an inspiring man, in whom many envy. People want to be the creator of something massive, but, what separates Mr. Lee and the common people is his initiative. People have revolutionary ideas everyday, but nobody takes the initiative to create it. Stan Lee had the will to create and pursued his dream of becoming a comic book creator in whom everyone knows, instead of living a nightmare with an average job and an average life. He knew that he could hit the ceiling and break through it. In my eyes, comic books were his ceiling, but he broke through and created even larger things like movies, toys, and even joined up with Disney, the biggest production studio in the whole world! If a man with very little resources take take a piece of paper and create something that has had probably the biggest impact on pop culture, we can use modern technology to create things surpass anything the world has ever seen. I'm just a 13 year old boy, my opinion doesn't matter that much, but I do know a little bit about how people work. People only reach for what they can see. What separates geniuses like Stan Lee from the average person is his ability to reach when he is blindfolded. He has the ability to take a chance. Most people pursue the average life, but you could become someone who could change the face of the planet. Stan Lee was a prime example. He just wrote down some ideas that appealed to him, and thought of ways to create the biggest Superhero franchises, Marvel Comics.

Stan Lee was one of the most famous individuals in the history of comic books. Proof to his amazing talent as a writer and editor, his skills at self-advertising . His writing to the superhero genre created a universe of inspirational fictional characters, Grew comic books from not only children’s entertainment but now to adult entertainment ,and helped to build Marvel Comics as a publishing powerhouse. In relation with artists like Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Don Heck and others, Lee was a key factor in the creation of many of the comic book characters that out number the Marvel universe for example Iron Man, the Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor, and hundreds of other superheroes, villains and supporting characters. He has touched based on many social issues as well opening up about LBGTQ in his "batman stories" between batman and robin . He truly gave people a character to relate in some sort of weird beautiful way . "Gore and Moral Ambiguity were out, but so were wit, literary influences and attention to social issues. Innocuous cookie-cutter exercises were in." Lee leaves a huge legacy of stories and a imprint on the creative industry he helped to shape and build. He was a key factor in growing comic books from being perceived as the "seduction of the innocent" entertainment for children to a major inspirational form. The characters he created continue to reflect throughout today’s motion pictures, popular culture, comic books, and television series.

Stan Lee was the rare writer to become a recognizable celebrity unto himself, as proven by the wave of tributes marking his death on November 12, 2018. Of course, the numerous iconic characters he invented will outlive the man himself. From Spider Man to the Hulk, Black Panther to X-Men, his creations shaped and inspired American and global popular culture in seismic ways. Tellingly, Lee wrote his comics but never drew them. The stories and characters he created have outlasted illustration styles or actors, becoming vital parts of the country's cultural fabric. Spider Man, perhaps Lee's greatest creation, demonstrates the personal and realistic touch he brought to all the flying, wham-bam action of juvenile comic books. Peter Parker was a nerdy high school boy just about any one could relate to and his web-slinging alter ego has become a ubiquitous, instantly recognizable staple. This year, the film Black Panther inspired many moviegoers and helped Hollywood see the importance of representation. Most popcorn-eaters may not have known the character was created by Stan Lee decades and decades ago. Many have debated the literary seriousness of comics. Though I am not a big reader of graphic novels, the Marvel movies that brought Lee's creativity to a wider audience have been important vehicles of escapism for millions. Some of these superhero stories feature layered metaphors for cultural conflicts but all of them provide a moment to ignore everyday life and dream to fly.

Stan Lee had a great impact on people, especially kids, and his death affected many people. He was an inspiration and role model to children. He made children want to grow up to be like the superheroes in the movies. Many of his movies and comic books had meaning and a moral story behind them. I remember going to watch all the movies in the theaters with my little cousins when they came out. My favorite was spiderman because he was an ordinary young adult that no one would expect to save lives and be a hero. Stan Lee will always be remembered and his legacy will continue to live on.

I am definitely a Marvel geek. I can be honest and say that I have never read any of the comics themselves but I've watched every movie (except for the latest 'Fantastic Four')! My favourite superhero, by far, is Captain America, and not only because he is currently played by Chris Evans in the movies. I love Captain America because he was a superhero before he was injected with the super serum. His attitude, personality and character are just amazing and I love every part of him. I had no idea that "Stan Lee" wasn't his actual name but, I think that is very cool. I also found it very intresting that he read books by authors like Dickens because Stan Lee's characters and stories are so free and outgoing, but when I think Dickens I think rigid, hard or within the box. I do understand how he read books like Sherlock Holmes or the Hardy Boys because they are books about adventures, secrets and twists. I see all of those aspects in his stories and I love it. Each new story captures me and gets me excited. They are raw, emotional, and real. I completely understood when he was commenting on how characters speak and I see the dialogue and forms of speacking that he placed into his characters. Especially Deadpool, he has a very comedic, fourth-wall break sort of way of speaking and I could recognize is anywhere. I was very sad when I found out he died because he seemed like one of those people who could never die and now he won't be in anymore movies. I lived for those scenes. :( RIP

Stan Lee didn’t want his work to be plain, he wanted something interesting and original which led him to create the fantastic four. He’s the father of Marvel and I remember being a huge fan of Marvel ever since I was younger because of my dad. My dad has a huge collection of all the classic Marvel Comics which was what got me hooked onto Marvel in the beginning. I don’t have a specific favorite comic book, movie or character but I’m intrigued with how he portrayed Spider-Man. In the movies, Spider-Man is a teenage boy who’s not only growing up and learning but is also saving his city day and night. I’m truly thankful for his creations, they have impacted the world in so many aspects. Stan Lee may have passed away but his legacies will continue to live on and he will never be forgotten.

Stan Lee's death will leave a whole in many peoples hearts. Known as Stanley Martin Lieber, he essentially was apart of this generation of people growing up and he shaped them into who they are today. An icon, his legacy will live on forever. Personally, I didn't watch many of his creations, but there were a few, of course, that I've enjoyed immensely, specifically because they were relatable, not just to me but to numerous people. But Stan Lee spent most of life creating for his audience's enjoyment, proving his dedication. He's described as a legend and mastermind for the pure reason of his amazing story telling quality. He accomplished many things while he was at Marvel and while he wasn't. Through Marvel comics and movies, Stan Lee will continue to be remembered, seeing as that's how he left his footprint on this world.

The impact Mr. Lee and Marvel Comics had on me is a great one as it's become a tradition for me to watch any Marvel Cinematic Universe movies with my Mother and Father at the local theaters and watching the others with my friends after school. The heroes and villains of Marvel have kept me company and strengthened my moral while making me question others because of their thought provoking stories that make me both laugh and cry. If I could be any Marvel superhero I would like to be Agent Venom because the kind and loyal relationship between Flash Thompson and the Venom symbiote was amazing while it lasted. They helped each other be better, Flash evolving past the bully he was in his youth and moving forward from being a crippled soldier to a hero and Venom being able to become the Agent of the Cosmos he and his race were meant to be. Comic books are both art and literature as their artists create pages of sketched, inked, and colored art in order to portray ideas and themes and some even create iconic imagery that influence others such as the Jack Kirby's depictions of the New Gods and their spot designs and Steve Ditko's stars and sparks in the magical world of Doctor Strange as well as in his other creations. The art isn't the only noteworthy aspect of comics as the writing in the comics are also spectacular and amazing. Comics should definitely be taught in schools as works as they portray complex subjects through the lens of superheros.

Stanley Martin Lieber, mainly known by Stan Lee, created a forever impact in not only the comic book world, but also movie, and even rollercoaster rides. For sure Lee did not expect to have multiple rollercoasters basic on his characters. I'm not a crazy fan for Stan Lee's work but I do enjoy the movies that play on time. The first movie I remember watching was the X-Men. These super humans which relatable flaws and personality that many watchers can relate too. Unlike much the famous Superman. From the 5 minute film, I found it astonishing that Lee lets his artist draw whatever they want from a short story line giving to them. Each comic could had ended up completely different depending on who the artist is, instead of who is the script writer, which is out of the norm. Therefore, Stan Lee will forever live on through his work.

Mr.Lee was a successful and inspiring male model; he touched millions of souls and touched mine as well. The news of his death was heart breaking but also made me reminisce of those days were I wake up during Saturday mornings to watch cartoons of spider-man and Avengers. My family would always go watch the newest movie installment of spider-man, Hulk and Iron man. I was full of aw, hope and dreams and thoughts of anything is possible, during and after the movies. My eyes would widen and a large smirk would appear. I'm not the only person to experience this joy, but millions of other children and adults.

Stan Lee was a pop culture icon. He created characters with special lives but normal problems so that even though his characters were superheroes, people would still be able to relate to them. His characters had flaws. They were prideful, greedy, insecure etc. It showed that even heroes are not perfect so why should we feel like we have to be . Everyday people encounter conflicts whether it is at home, at school, at work, no matter what it is, people would read his comics and watch his movies to escape their world, even for a moment . His movies and characters continue to inspire young men and women to take action to do something because he conveyed the message that even if you do not have real super powers, your super power is your personal strength, your will. Stan Lee and his creations went from serving as entertainment to serving as inspiration. Thank you Stan Lee.

This is a nice way for adults and young people to practice critical reading. The questions are both data based and open ended. Good series.
