Maybe Miss Perry and Miss Swift can assist Trump and his relations with Iran and Kim Jong-un.

Really; who cares? Neither of them appear to need more PR, or money, so please focus your resources on the many untold stories of meaning out there.

I'd be shocked if their PR people didn't orchestrate this whole fight -- start to finish

Is this real? Doesn't matter. These women should respect the fact that they are role models for other women and girls and stop the blubbering idiocy.

Did the New York Times actually bother to write an article on a feud between two pop stars?
Delane McCloud (Venice, Ca)
That was a quick, fun diversion. Thanks!

I enjoyed this recap greatly.

UGH!!!! Please stop giving these 2, not very good singers, any more air time. That is what Instagram is for.

69 years-old man (moi) can't believe he read this. ('Good' that its author [humorously] acknowledges the folly of anyone's 'partaking.') Now -- still more foolishly??? -- back to the follies tragique -- i.e., a reading of the day's stumbling endeavors of trump and his 'cabinet guys' (more selfish than xenophobic ... the lot of them being too ignorant to chart a 'winning' xenophobic course') to ruin the Republic (and the world).

I left the article moderately dumber that when I entered - who do I see about that? ...and is it permanent?

You lost me at "a tiger don't lose no sleep," because my life in academia has left me severely neurotic about subject/verb agreement. But I enjoyed the pictures. Taylor Swift is seriously beautiful, in the same league as Grace Kelly and Debbie Harry, in their prime. Katy Perry transparently is prone to self-mutilation, but de-ringed and just out of the shower, she would probably be a stunner. I've never knowingly heard either of them sing.

Please don't include nonsense like this in the NY Times. I realize you may be trying to appeal to a wider swath of readers, but being true to the core of serious news and information is a better way forward. This is a waste of my subscription money.

A celebrity spat. Who cares.

I cannot believe that I finish this article. That is 10 minutes of my life that I won't get back.

Oh the problems of the cultural elite. How do they get through life?
Jonathan Swenekaf (Palm Beach , FL)
I’m all double rainbows for Katy.

I'm 65, and in an attempt to stay up on the culture, I did start to read this article. But, I didn't get very far. Honestly, both these young women have so much money and fame, and this stuff is so petty. If only they could know what I do--that I was their age about 10 minutes ago, and 30 years passed by in a flash. Just enjoy what you've got going on, ladies. Trust me, it will be over before you know it.
