It was appalling that the Obama administration pushed for and got the country of origin labelling requirements for food products removed. This seemed to be done as a way to advance globalism and make it easier to sell Oreo cookies made in Mexico rather than factories in Chicago, for example.
We have long known that food safety is not a priority in many countries, just as we know that worker health and safety are similarly held in low regard.
I prefer not to support globalism in this manner and every report of this sort of abuse validates my concerns.

So just last week after surviving a grueling two weeks 'vacationing' in China, loudspeakers on Shanghai's subways were warning Chinese to keep warm to avoid "catching a cold" due to dropping temperatures. When the population is placed under a total censorship bubble and given myth as sound medicinal advice via loudspeakers, it all makes unfortunate Communist sense.
The headline using the term 'folk remedies' reveals the arrogance and ignorance of the author s and editors.
Some may be 'folk remedies but most are adulterated TCM formulas.
And, just possibly, the intended ingredient itself is harmful, not just the 'adulterator'. These are not medicines. These have not been well studied/tested.
Many have side effects. Few work as advertised. More snake oil. Imbibe with caution, if at all. Never give to children. You will be very sorry if you do.

Like most 'naturopathy', chinese medicine is a collection of scams with nothing more to deliver than the placebo effect; if it does not contain outright toxins. Asian "medicine" is nothing but a translocated 'hippy' fad that slid from the 1960s into the millenials' hipsterism.
As noted, it is not only ineffective but contributes to the pressure on too many significant organisms. It should be called out as a confidence trick and banned from all civilised states.

these so called remedies are the reason that sooo many species of animals and plants go extinct every second and Asia is the biggest culprit.

Keep this stuff over there.

Another good reason to buy from DAO Labs. All Chinese herbs are tested in the U.S. for both safety and authenticity (by third party independent labs).

Having grown up with both western and eastern medicine, I've always been taught that eastern medicine needs to be sourced from scrupulous shops and doctors whereas simply popping pills taken off a shelf might carry more risk.
More concerning is the current administration's intentions to weaken the FDA and speed-up drug approvals (i.e. increase risk.)

One more good reason not to buy "made in China."

iPhones are made in China. Space satellites are made in China.
This is a good reason not to buy unregulated products in a free market.

And our government's stubborn adherence to fossil fuels has now led to solar power tech being made in China.
