A much needed article today. Lifts the spirit to know that there are wonderful, caring people like Rebecca Baptiste in our country. What a wonderful concept--a Forever Mother.

Happy Mother's Day, Rebecca!

An angel that keeps giving! We need more stories like this. A beautiful person who's not in it for the money... Happy Mother's Day Forever Mother!

It is people like Ms. Baptiste that are the real heroes. They reach out to those most imperiled with no thought other than to try to help.

I know it's months early, but I'd already like to submit Ms. Baptiste for one of the notable New Yorkers of the Year!

You are a beautiful example of a loving mother. Your children are very fortunate.

Got to hand it to the Republicans, who know how to purchase votes -- and to those three "independent" Democrats, whose integrity is unassailable. What trash, all of them.

As for Trump's golf course in the Bronx:

It is a sin to cut down a tree. It takes a fool a couple of hours to destroy what it took God years to create.

But getting rid of the enormous, egomaniacal emblazoned "TRUMP" that grossly offends the eyes as one drives across the Whitestone Bridge from Queens -- particularly since Trump continues to renege on the agreed-to field house he Is contracted to build in exchange for all that land -- taking a scythe to that man's name would gain the wielder of it a blessing.

“If they want to come back, I meet them. Whatever they want to do, I let them be themselves on Mother’s Day.”

* That's a good mother *

.... what they want, I let my daughters be themselves

What a day of song cues in the News and Events sections – Madonna, Hamilton, Madonna, trolleys, Brooklyn, Penn Station track work, Madonna.
“Sorry, moms, brunch may end up soggy.”

Tune of Madonna’s "Holiday" - a short version

[opening chant]
Mother’s Day – track delays
Mother’s Day – track delays

[Chorus]
If we visit Mother’s Day, not just send a stupid card
Just one day of the year, would it be, could it be that hard

Everybody here’s the plan
We're gonna subway to Penn Station
We’re get there when we can
For a celebration

There’s gonna be delays
On this day of all days (oh yeah(
But forget all the showers
Even if it takes hours
We’ll see her Mother’s Day

[chorus]
Prepare for Amtrak drama, make time to see Mama
Just be there Mother’s Day

[chant]
Mother’s Day – track delays
Mother’s Day – track delays
