During winter to stay happy the things that I do are like going with my sisters shopping also with my sister in law. Another thing is that when it rains my sister and I always go under the rain to get wet and we jump in the puddles. It gets fun and even more if we are on our school break. The thing that I like the most about the winter is the winter break because I get to stay with my family and that is the best thing ever. Not every thing from winter is great I also get bored and most of the time I want to go out but no one wants to go with me. I also don’t like when it stops raining and everything is wet, sometimes I really miss the sun during winter even though here in California doesn't rains a lot.
One of my favorite things to do in the winter is to get in my pjs, make hot chocolate, and watch movies all day. Here in California, it doesn’t really get cold and in Florida it doesn’t either which is where i am from, so I haven't really experienced cold weather. Once the weather starts to change and it goes from like 90 to 70 degrees that when i consider it to be cold and do the stuff that I mentioned. In the winter something that I do to stay cozy is wear numerous fuzzy socks or long socks. In addition I usually like to drink hot chocolate or tea when it gets really cold. During the winter I love to eat just like any other day and season. I love indulging in different types of warm pastries and beverages whether it be a blue berry scone or some freshly baked cookies or a nice cup of coffee or some sweet hot chocolate, small things like that really make your day a whole lot better especially when stressing about upcoming holiday plans or shopping you're facing. Except there is one major downside to winter.. the cold. I absolutely hate the cold. I don't mind the snow, in fact I love the way it looks after a fresh fall, but I hate the cold that comes along with it. I hate the absolutely freezing walk from the school parking lot into the school and so does my frozen face by the time I get inside. I also don't like driving in the snow. What I do to keep me happy, productive, and cozy in winter time is to put myself in a fuzzy, warm, and furry blanket and watch t.v. My favorites about the season are that there is no school for 2 weeks which gives me time to relax, play video games, drink hot chocolate, spend time with family, and can watch t.v. and movies. I also like it when it snows, but my dislikes of the season is when it's freezing with no snow. And with 2 weeks of free time on your hands, it can and/or will get boring. Ah, I look out the window to see white specks of snow sprinkle onto the ground. I sit on the floor near the fire, gathering as much warmth as I can. My family sit scattered across the living room. My brother and I try to explain to our two younger sisters why there is no school today. A dark navy blanket hugs me tight in it's embrace while I hold a warm cup of hot chocolate in my hand. This is what I think of when I hear the term "snow day."

Friends, Family, and Fun is what comes to my mind when I think about winter time, when it is frosty cold outside and snow is falling from the sky covering the ground in a blanket of snow and friends and family gather around the dancing fire with cups of peppermint flavored cocoa. The lake freezes over and friends and family strap on their skates and bundle up and go out and enjoy the frosty air while skating on the shimmering ice in the falling snow. Then everyone goes inside and sits by the fire wrapped up in blankets and grandma tells stories about winters when she was young.

One of my favorite times of the year is when I can kick back and relax in my cozy cushioned chair while a snow storm turns the fall in to a freezing winter. I love sitting by a crackling fire with steaming hot chocolate almost burning my tongue off and getting all bundled up in a soft, fuzzy blanket. Winter makes me feel like I´m stepping into a human size freezer that is turned six degrees to cold. Winter is the goodbye to blistering hot weather, and hello fridged cold! Icy cold weather makes me think of curling up inside and enjoying a piping hot glass of hot coco. One of my favorite things to do on a cold day is to grab my fuzzy socks, a big thick quilt, and sit close to the crackling fire, while drinking my glass of hot chocolate. I appreciate the view outside of the fluffy white snow that falls slowly out the back window. Snuggling up next to my dog is second in line next to sitting by the hot fire. Overall winter is probably one of my favorite seasons!

I have a special routine for the winter season, especially Christmas break. My routine is to wake up at around 10:00 am, then I let my dogs outside, while they are outside, I fix myself some breakfast and some hot cocoa. I then let them inside and feed them. When It is cold outside, I think you should cuddle around the fire place and watch a clasic movie, while drinking nice warm hot coco with little baby marsmelows in it. I also love to wear my wanzi and laugh and play bourd games with my family and friends. One of the things I dislike is going out in the bittter cold only in my pajamas. The last thing I love to do is have an pillow fight with feathered pillows! Thats what I like to do when it is cold outside and it makes me cozzy!

One of my favorite things to do in the winter is cuddle up by the fire with a blanket wrapped around me while wearing fuzzy socks. I love smelling all the cozy smells like candles and cinnamon rolls. I enjoy looking at the Christmas lights hung up on the tree and the Christmas music playing softly.

One of my favorite things to do by the fire is crochet. I enjoy the warmth on my feet from my puppy and my fuzzy wool socks. Winter makes me feel safe and joyful. During the cold season of winter, a brewing fire is ideal. My family and I all pack onto the couch and watch a festive holiday movie. A hot chocolate break then comes after the film, or sometimes during if we can not wait another second. An occasional breakfast of pancakes with any candy topping in the pantry only seems to happen during the coldest days. A peaceful and joyful warmth comes near me most when I am surrounded by my loved ones on a chilling winters night.

One of my favorite things to do on a winter morning is that I would get up make some pancakes and eggs. Get some hot chocolate put some fluffy white marshmallows in. Also, I would grab my soft pink blanket, and my dog Leo. Then end up cuddling in front of the fire place.

Winter Comforts! I love the warm heat rolling down my back as I sit next to the hot fire place and how the hot chocolate makes my chilly throat calm down after a long day of snow, how my heart slowly stops hopping after I sit down for some rest with my warm blanket on. Winter is great but, one thing more great is the warm winter comforts.
Hot chocolate, warm blankets, and family time inside is what I think of when winter comes around. We wrap up in blankets and stay warm and drink hot chocolate. We spend lots of time together. Its especially nice to always have these things when its snowing outside and you can just get all bundled up. Some winter comforts are coffee or hot chocolate and cookies warm socks and blankets and snuggling with our puppies makes it feel like it is not 20 degrees or lower out side. The precious family time moments and fresh sugar cookies are my winter comforts.

Winter to me isn't the best time of the year. One thing I love doing is cloaking my self up in a blanket and sipping delectable homeade hot chocolate. As a tradition I watch the claymatoin versoin of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer on Christmas Eve with my family.
Winter is a wonderful time of the year. People are more joyful and giving. All worries are washed away. I love Christmas, but I hate winter. Winter is dull, drab, and freezing beyond wonder. It can be magnificent, but for the most part, it is not. To make winter happy I often curl up in a cocoon of blankets. I am often in my room or on the couch watching Christmas movies. Every now and then I will get up to get a snack or drink hot tea. If I don't feel like watching TV then I read a book. If there is anything I love more than watching TV, it's reading a good book. This is how I get "hygge."

I'm up early (at 5) and feed my 3 dogs, and give a treat to my 2 cats, Then I make a coffee and pour a cup, wrap up in a wool shawl, (with a kitty snuggled in) and read the NYTimes (On a computer, because I got tired of digging the paper out of the snow bank!).

Your comment makes me think of snow days when I was a little girl. For breakfast, my mom would make me a delicious cup of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, and she would serve it with toast smothered in grape jelly. I would eat the whipped cream first, then I would dip my toast in the remaining cocoa. Even though I am an adult now, I still enjoy this cozy winter delight every winter.
