Even though the Mets lost last night, I am still a fan of them. I have been a Mets fan for about two decades and I don't plan on stopping. Real fans are with their teams no matter what the outcome is for their season. If you only root for them when they are good and tend to act bent out of shape when they lose, then you aren't a real fan. I knew what it was like to be Mets fan when they were terrible, but it didn't make me want to give up. The same implies for me with both the Nets and the Liberty as well.

Given the vast amount of difficulty it takes for the average New Yorker to get by in this town, anybody who has the extra time and takes the extra effort to dress-up like a comic-book Super-Hero, is a hero un my book.

TRICK OR TREAT WITH GORDON

Gordon the lonely goblin
Couldn't bear to see himself,
Covered each single mirror
That might show an ugly elf.

Stayed far away from children,
Fearing they would cast a stone,
Poor little brooding creature
With no friends to call his own.

Halloween, he chanced to be
In a haunted house.
Kids were taunted by their hosts--
Gordon's face just froze those ghosts!

Now when it's Halloween time,
Trick or treating's lots more fun.
Kids go collecting goodies
Shielded by their pal Gordon.

There are many weird new laws in NYC

Alcohol sundays - New York passed a new liquor law
that will allow people to order alcoholic drinks on Sunday morning
to cap their brunch. ( the alcoholics are rejoicing here)

New York Marijuana Laws-

Women can go topless in public, provided it is not
used for business.

Now pets ok to be buried beside the owner?

More to come as our lives get sophisticated.
I got suggestions in my next post.

You should have noted that Spiderman lived in a real NYC. He even went to a real high school: Forrest Hills.
Joan (New York)
OK, Jonathan, Am I the only one who hasn't received this yet?

“A new law in New York State allows pets to be buried alongside their owners in cemeteries meant for people.”

Tune of “My Guy” (short version)

- (imagining pet lovers revising their wills)

No one that I’ve got
Can fill that next plot
Like my dog (My dog)
‘Cause nothing on two feet
Has ever been a treat
Like my dog (My dog)
I’m sticking with my dog
Even after cremation
So I give this legislation an ovation

I’m glad they gave the word
That I now can be interred
With my dog

(What’cha say)
Forget the tears and gloom
My resting place will have room
For my dog (Tell me more)
When they say R.I.P.
I wanna spend eternity
With my dog (What’s that?)
My dog!
