I think there was too fast a leap to get rid of Big Head's money. Yes, he bought a house, and they spent a lot on the party at Alcatraz (to make it not look like Alcatraz!), and he moved the pool twice. But it's not like Bachman frittered away $20 million on juicers.

Still, it's a very funny show that's starting to show some depth in the characters.

I don't know if it's because I'm from San Francisco, but I almost died laughing at the way Erlich pronounced Embarcadero. Thank you T. J. Miller!

The acting, the writing... everything about this show is excellent.

This is the funniest and best written show on TV. Beavis and Butthead was a great show, as is Silicon Valley. Mike Judge is one of the best comedy writers around.

Don't forget "King of the Hill"

Simply the best written TV show on any platform. This episode was chilling in how much brilliance it packed into 30 minutes. It was almost too much to process in one viewing. My head was spinning by how dazzling it all was. This is a series that will be analyzed and interpreted and cherished for generations to come. I feel it is safe to say that it is not hyperbolic to call this series truly awesome!

The show nails the self-obsession, pomposity and hypocrisy of these latest Masters of the Universe, but is struggling to avoid viewers getting a sense of "I get it and am tired of watching it" and moving on. If Tom Wolfe had written a sequel to Bonfire of the Vanities, it likely would have been been perceived as similarly lacking in comparable wit and insight, the way Wall Street 2 was.

So loyalty and friendship will be their undoing ? What a sad thing that would be. But very realistic, one supposes.

I want one of those jackets.

Too bad Ehrlich does not have any investment banker friends. He might have been able to get a loan against his shares in Pied Piper. While it led to some funny bits; the whole dissipation of Big Head's $20 million was kind of ridiculous.

I did love the scene where Gavin and Action Jack couldn't come to the obvious conclusion to fly together to 'J-Hole.'

I can almost hear Ehrlich impatiently correcting you about the meaning of pesca-pescaterian. He'll only eat the fish who only eat fish, not the fish who are eaten by other fish.

So much going on: How about the eagerly-anticipated "The Pied Piper" song at the end?

Great article, but don't miss the title pun on Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
