Whatever happened to predictability?

You have listed many things that the Olsens "were never really". Well, they are also "never really" designers. I mean come on, they don't draw and we all know it. It's offensive that they keep winning awards for their clothes when someone else, whom no one knows, did the actual design.

"But I’ve had a luxury that the Olsen twins never had, or will never have — the chance to make my Instagram a carefully constructed reflection of what I want followers and friends to think my life is like."

And I've had a luxury that the writer of this piece never had, or will never have - the chance to grow up without Instagram and the great luck to now be of an age where I really cannot see the point of 'carefully constructing' an image of self on social media.

As babies, all they were required to do was not cry and look cute. Today, I see these two as the most over-rated people in Stardom. They're making tons of money and I have no idea why.

You should probably pop open another window & search their history on Google. They built an empire and a brand before you even hit puberty. I'm all for calling out over rated "celebs" these days but you'd have to be clueless or just plaid mad to think they are part of that crowd.

Full House was silly but fun - this is just plain silly. You can be yourself in a very nice Fruit of the Loom T-shirt from Walmart for $3.58 - comfy!

I think in order to understand the sophisticated aesthetic of The Row itself, one must understand, first of all, sophistication, but ultimately, art. The Olsen girls could have a different Instagram if they wanted to and so could you. Who cares? The fact that they keep out of the limelight doesn't necessarily give journalists the license to interpret that privacy based on......personal (non-related) experience and opinion. Shame.

And we wonder where the 1% gets their money?

Imagine it, a couple of iconic millennials who are comfortable behind the scenes. and not shouting for attention while offering no substance. They've found ways to parlay their fame into a steady stream of gobs and gobs of money and that seems enough. Who says youth has lost their values?

I guess Times journalists are now exempt from learning history but Mary Kay was very nearly arrested for her dangerously close association with the drug overdose of the actor Heath Ledger. Remember that? I think with just the slightest bit of research into the not very distant past, you will have a very different story to tell.

but that's the point, isn't it? look how quickly we've forgotten about an olsen twin's scandal.

It's Mary Kate; and that was over 10 years ago.

Ignore them. While not at bad as the K's they do not deserve our attention.

Peace!
