You go, girls!!
EuroAm (Ohio, USA)
Excellent...a warm and fuzzy featuring immigrants from south of the border, absolutely super.

What a great series of articles! When the basketball season ends, can we look forward to "Not the Mets" and then, in the autumn, "Not the Jets"?

Wonderful story. You go, girls--to Tennessee.

Thanks for putting names and faces on what so often is the anonymous issue of "immigration." This family came to this country, immediately started to work, and has contributed to their community in a number of ways. Congratulations to everyone involved.

We Americans love our sports teams don't we? And high school is exactly the right place to find them.

This level of sports journalism is why the Times has the best sports pages in the country.

We totally enjoy the articles. Please keep them coming.

Thank you so much for such an inspirational article relating to women's sports. Bring on some more. This one was nice to read with my early morning coffee.

Just wait until Gov. Perry hears about Mexicans playing on a Texas high school team! Can you imagine. In Texas. How did these young ladies and their mother get across the militarized border?? Certainly, he will want immediate deportation.

I once made a sales call in Levelland. I asked the gentleman there if he could reccomend a place to stay in "Le-VELL-and" and he said "Around here, we call it Level-Land." "Aha," I said, "is that a clue to the local topography?" He said, "When they named it, they got it right the first time."

I love these articles by a front line sports reporter for THE front line newspaper. As a follower of h.s. sports as a teacher for 40 years, a track coach for 20 and a score keeper and sports writer for another 20 (in two states), I realized that the action THAT WAS REAL was at the h.s. level. It is genuine and in most cases, athletes do it for the love of the sport and the school, not their eye on the "pros." Thanks to this journalist for the Times, the whole country which is seldom focused, especially on girl's basketball, will enjoy the riches to the soul of h.s. sports and especially h.s. basketball.

You are so right. I often tag along to watch a friend's sons play baseball. More fun than the Mets.

Great coverage of far worthier teams than the Knicks! Hope you can keep this up!

i'd like to see the cera sisters take on pablo prigioni and Orlando calderon in a game of 2 on 2 - i'd be hard pressed to pick a winner

Nice to see a basketball team that still honors the flag in the traditional manner, with their right hands over their hearts.
