Weekly 'What Can I Run?' Thread (July 28, 2019)

Hello and welcome to the Weekly "What Can I Run?" Thread. Here you can ask and answer questions that fall under the purview of "what can I run?"

Comments
I7-3537U, 4gbs of ram and a GT720M. Any recommendations? Wanted to play some zelda games (or anything really I'm bored). Think it'll run?
what can i run on this old piece of junk
the only game that ran properly was cave story.
I'm assuming you're running the Integrated SiS Real256E Graphics. Try the original
Intel atom z3735f (1.3 Quad)
2gb ram
Intel onboard gfx 1gb vram (not convinced)
Win 8.1 32bit
Take a look at the "Total Available Graphics Memory" found when you look at the display adapter properties (win+x > select settings > Display > Display adapter properties), that will tell you what your system can use as vRAM. Just keep in mind that draws from the system RAM pool (your 2GB) so even if you get the standard 1/2 available RAM allotment as vRAM (this is usually set by the mobo mfr) you may not be able to use it all if the system needs to pull more than 1GB for it's needs. Windows will assign RAM as necessary but you can easily run into push/pull problems with so little available for use.
These recommendations are free =) :
Touhou Project?
what (good) games i can run?
j4105 itx
j4105 quad core
uhd 600
8 gb ram
Assume 720p for these recommendations, though some may run at a higher resolution:
SteamWorld Dig
Touhou Project?
okay soo what games can I run?
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 1.86GHz
5GB DDR2 RAM
1024MB NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT
Windows 7 64 bit
and apparently I was able to run ets2
I can't find any info about the E6300, but I had the same GPU a couple of years ago paired with an E7400 core 2 duo and I played battlefield bad company 2 and I had a blast with it, it looked so pretty even with my very low tier set up.
Touhou Project!
Game recommendations?
Intel Core i3-8130U @2.2GHZ (up to 3.4GHZ)
Nvidia MX150 2GB VRAM
8GB DDR4 RAM
1TB HDD (sorry idk the brand)
You can get some ideas at Notebookcheck.net which has game benchmarks for the
You can also cruise through Intel's gaming site:
The listing is tailored to your CPU/iGPU, though the list is not all inclusive it is good for ideas. Also, if you click on the individual game in that listing it will pull up the recommended settings for the game as well. While Intel claims that all games listed run at a minimum of 30fps since you have the MX150 you should see better performance and/or be able to use higher settings.
Some random recommendations:

AMD Ryzen 3 2200U Dual-core up to 3.4 GHz, 4MB Cache
AMD Radeon Vega 3 Mobile Graphics

You want some random recommendations:
Intel® Pentium® N5000, Quad Core up to 2.7GHz, 4MB Cache
4GB DDR4 RAM
128GB SSD
Intel® UHD 605 Graphics
just wondering what games I can run with it and most importantly if I can run terraria with it
Yes to Terraria. As far as what you can run, the UHD 605 is a couple generations up from the HD 405 found in the first GPD Win. Since you have better CPU & GPU performance than that I'd recommend taking a look through what the GPD Win can run, anything it can run you'll be able to run even better:
LSG's channel, if you're unfamiliar, is a great place to find tips and tweaks for getting games to work on lowend hardware.
One of the games I recommend is jRPG
Basically, if you're willing to play games at 720p you have a lot of choices.
Hi all! First of all, sorry for my bad English, it's not my first language. I want to get into fighting games but my PC can't run newer and most popular fighting games (SF 5, Tekken 7, DBZ). So what games with active community (discord server is enough) can I run?
i5-3450 3,5 GHz
chances are, Ultra Street Fighter 4's gonna run good on your system, still has an active community.
Also, look into Skullgirls, another popular fighting game that's easy to run.
That 4gb of RAM is gonna slow you down on many populated fighting games.
Have you tried Brawlhalla? Its more like Super Smash Bros than SF V, but it can definitely scratch the fight game itch.
Hey boys, this is a bit of a weird one but I have an Intel i7-4790k cpu with 32gb of ram, but my graphics card is an integrated Intel HD Graphics 460. What games can i play?
It's the Intel HD Graphics 4600. You can check out Intel's gaming site:
The listing is tailored to your CPU/iGPU, though the list is not all inclusive it is good for ideas. Also, if you click on the individual game in that listing it will pull up the recommended settings for the game as well. While Intel claims that all games listed run at a minimum of 30fps that is not always the case (it's based upon having dual channel RAM), so if a game's settings are all low and 720p you may want to do a little more research before purchasing.
Hi all, first timer on this thread. Exgov Dell 7214 I5 core, with dock and periphs. Looking for decent story driven games and plane timewasters, thinking Enter the Gungeon, VA-11 Hall-A, NITE Team 4, along those lines.
Thanks!
Is that the one with 4GB of RAM and the i5-6300U?
I dont have a pc atm so im using my dad's pc and since it was for office work it doesnt having high end specs but i was still wondering what games can i run on these specs
i5 3470 (3.2ghz 4 cores)
4 gb ddr 3 Ram
Intel hd 2500 (desktop)
I tried BF 3 ,customized the settings a lil bit.Everything was low except texture and terrain which were set to high and effects were set to medium.Tried it on very low res (600x480 i think it was).Got around 35 avg fps outdoor and 40-50 indoors. What else can i run?
Here is a list from intel that was tested for your iGPU:
If you have a genre in mind, I might know something else for you.
Wassup guys can u please suggest some free good games for me here r my specs :

Codename Cure
(Lemme know if you are looking for some specific genre, I'll find you one that fits)
I've got something bad.
pentium t4200 dual core, integrated graphics. 3 gb RAM. 1500 mb VRAM.
What year of gaming should i be looking at?
Also please recommend good sandbox games for this system.
thx
You should be able to run Minetest -- open source, free minecraft-like sandbox game.
GTA 3 should have run on lowest settings... but as you said, you have drivers to work with perhaps. You could run GTA 1 for sure, and its available for free online somewhere since RockStar gave it away for free for awhile.
A decent alternative guaranteed to run is Retro City Rampage. Like pixel GTA, open world, and goofy humor.
Maximum oof.
I highly doubt it can game in the year it was launched (2009!), much less now.
In the sandbox genre, it's... ehh... you're better off not looking in this genre at all. Though there's Morrowind if you really need that sandbox hit.
May I direct you to some cute shoot 'em ups instead?

Doesn't support DirectX 11. Go get a dedicated graphics card.
Specs: Intel Core i7-8565U Intel UHD Graphics 620 16GB Ram LRDDR3 256 SSD
Not too sure what else to add, I just bought this laptop. (If I should add more let me know) I was wondering if I could play the Witcher series (mainly 1&2) on it. And also if I could play newer games on it.
It'd be really helpful to hear what you guys have to say! Thank you!
You can run Witcher 1. You can even get it for free. Download GWENT, claim a copy from GOG. All free:
Here is a whole long list of modern games tested to run on your iGPU from intel:
enjoy!
ryzen3 2200g (vega 8 igpu) or athlon 200ge (vega 3) 2x4gb 3000mhz not sure on which apu im going to buy yet, which games can i run at ~60fps on both?
You can definitely run Cuphead on both at 60+ fps. The Diablo remaster from GOG also.
If you want better advice, narrow the question to a genre or a specific few games you like to buy or already own.
Touhou Project.
Hey all my specs are below
So I don't currently have a graphics card so I'm running everything on the integrated Intel UHD 630. My question is if I can get Apex Legends running at close to 60fps until I get my graphics card ordered? If so will I need to edit my config files or can I just edit in game settings? THANKS!
The answer is no, you cannot run it at 60fps. Using the lowest possible settings, and adaptive resolution, you can get 40-45 fps most of the time, with dips to 30 in major action. Definitely playable.
Just wait for your GPU you snob.
Brand new laptop with
CPU: Intel i5-7200U Dual Core 2.5 GHz
8 GB DDR4 RAM, Single channel
256 GB SSD storage
Intel HD 620 GPU
Would I be able to run games like GTA V or Rainbow Six Siege at low-medium settings? I feel like my CPU is fine but I don’t know much about computers and all the sites I check are telling me my GPU is really low on VRAM.
Edit: Also, any game recommendations for cheap that I would be able to run?
Yes, you can run GTA V at 720p low settings about 30-40 fps average. Definitely playable.
R6 Siege will run at 720p, but some dips in the mid 20 FPS with a ton of gadget and explosions on screen. You wont be great for Comp play, but more than enough for co-op against bots and casual versus.
Victoria 2
Do Fallout 4 & Skyrim SE have similar minimum requirement?
Skyrim was released 4 years earlier than Fallout 4 so I thought it would be way less demanding than FO4. I know Skyrim SE enhanced the graphic but I didn't think the minimum requirement could match 2015 games.
Then I saw their minimum & recommended requirements and they both look similar. I just found out that they also used exactly same engine.
So, if my potato laptop could run Skyrim SE at 30 FPS at low setting, could it run Fallout 4 with similar performance & setting as well (30 FPS at low)?
If so, are there any other games like this, games where it's antonym-of-ahead of its time?
Specs would be the most helpful thing to add. Just because they are on the same engine, doesnt mean they will run the same.
Yeah well, obviously.
The Original Skyrim WAS ahead of its time. But if you want to phrase it like that, Crysis is a prime example.
Hewlett-Packard HPcompaq 6000 Pro MT PC
RAM 4 gb
250 gb storage
cpu Intel Core 2 Duo cpu e7500
anything that will run on a playable fps, and preferably free
Have you tried Touhou Project?
It would help if you listed your CPU and GPU, but you can pick through some lists of free games
CPU: i5 6300u
GPU: intel hd 520
RAM: 4GB
Looking for mostly RPG games to play. Something like dark souls and (hopefully) released in 2018-2019 otherwise shoot your shot. I really miss having fun creating characters and pcicking fights in a rpg.
Also Anyone knows a rpg game with (a lot of ) rain mechanics ? (other than witcher 3)
Games I've played: Dark souls series, Dragon Age, salt and sanctuary, lords of the fallen (unfortunately!)
Finally, can someone please list all the lowend games released in 2019? (This isn't for my PC by the way).
Gamelist from Intel that is tested to run on your iGPU with 8 gb of RAM... for you best performance and experience, try to get a second 4gb stick of RAM for 8gb in dual channel configuration.
Many of these games will run for you at 720p lowest settings also:
Overall, your request for a 2018-2019 game will be hindered by 4gb of RAM. Crosscode might scratch your itch, released in late 2018. Excellent RPG game and there is a free demo:
AMD A6-7400K APU
2X2GB RAM
Can you guys recommend me some fun games to play?
Games i played: Just Cause 2, Batman Arkham series until Arkham Knight, Skyrim and FNV, DAO: ORIGINS, All 3 Mass Effect
Have you tried Touhou Project?
AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
4gb ram
AMD Radeon HD 5450
Any games i could run, not really bothered on genre.
Have you tried Touhou Project?
Type: Laptop
CPU: Intel Core i3-6006u
GPU: AMD Radeon 520
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit
Currently playing Dragon Age: Inquisition and Assassins' Creed 4: Black Flag. Any game recommendations?
HP Compaq Elite 8000 SFF PC
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz
GPU: GT-730-DDR5-LP
Ram: 4GB
I currently playing the first Assassin's Creed on highest settings. Pretty smooth game play. I wonder what other games I could run on this grandpa rig. TIA.
You might get away with running AC 2 on your beautifully low spec pc.
A two+ year old laptop with an i3-6100u, HD 520, 1x4GB DDR4-2133, 120GB SSD?I have a monitor plugged in running at 1080p @ 120Hz, so I'd love to actually game at that speed, but 60FPS is more realistic so I'm ok with that too.
Currently play Starbound, Minecraft and CS:GO casually
What genre would you like to explore?
Diablo is a great re-released game. Cuphead is another wonderful game. Also, Brawlhalla is a great choice. Should get 60fps on all of those at 720p, and likely at 1080 also.
i cant even play minecraft with my computer, my graphics card was discontinued in 2013, and i need to update the drivers to use the gl thing that runs it, so im pretty much stuck with flash games.
Intel Pentium B950 @2.10GHz, 2 GB DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics at (i think) 758 MB dedicated video memory. Looking for FPS, racing (rally, F1, sim racing in general) and RPGs
You can try Torchlight 1 and 2 (both have demos, so you can test them before buying them), they are similiar to Diablo. Torchlight requires 512mb of Ram, while Torchlight 2 requires 1gb of Ram.
AMD E2-1800
AMD Radeon hd 7340 iGPU
6GB Ram
Windows 10(windows 8 recommended, but shit i ain't using that junk)
Have you tried Touhou Project?
Is it possible to do atleast sit-down VR games on a low-end machine? If it is possible to do it on a low-end machine, what is the cheapest steam-vr compatible headset? And if it is possible on a low-end machine, how low could you go?
Just for comparison, I have a Pentium G3220, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 960 (4GB version).
I've heard that the WMR headsets are cheap, but it isn't compatible with Assetto Corsa, one of the games I want to play in the future on this PC (VR or No-VR).
LowSpecGamer has done several videos on this topic over the last couple of years: (in published order, oldest first)
Each kinda covers a different area of the questions you are asking. As with anything on PC there's ways and means, and different games/systems will all perform differently, so there's no blanket go/no-go statement to be made.
As for your specific system setup, you'll want a better CPU. While the GTX 960 isn't all that it'll get the job done for the less challenging VR titles but the dual core Pentium will really hamstring things.

Have you tried Touhou Project?
Indie games like torchlight, darkest dungeon etc. Also some older games - Cod 1,2,4. Warcraft 3, WoW Classic, TBC, Wotlk; everything with Source engine. Old C&C games. Also League of legends, HeartStone etc. I have played these on my ThinkPad X220 with the same specs.

Skip the HD 4350, your iGPU is about 4x better performing. As for games, you can check out Intel's gaming site:
The listing is tailored to your CPU/iGPU, though the list is not all inclusive it is good for ideas. Also, if you click on the individual game in that listing it will pull up the recommended settings for the game as well. While Intel claims that all games listed run at a minimum of 30fps that is not always the case (it's based upon having dual channel RAM), so if a game's settings are all low and 720p you may want to do a little more research before purchasing.
Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6~3.2GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4000
6GB DDR3 RAM
What can i run in this little guy?
Any specific genre you are looking for?
GeForce GTX 960m
Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.60GHz
16GB Ram
Any game recommendations?

Microsoft Graphics Hybrid: Not Supported DxDiag Version: 10.00.17134.0001 64bit Unicode>
Can I run many good building or simulation games?
Assume 720p for all these recommendations:
Ummm... I have 2 computers and 2 requests: 1. i7 3250m GT 640M LE 8GB ram 2. Raspberry Pi 3B

Personally I'd recommend checking out
You'll have mostly just emulators if you so wish to game on a Pi. Most PC games are written for x86-based architectures and not ARM.
Is there any genre you're looking into? If I write my entire shill list it would take forever.
In general: Touhou Project, Elder Scrolls, Fallout.
Laptop HP Pavilion
AMD A12-9720P Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G 2.70GHz
AMD Radeon (TM) 535DX (Integrated)
RAM 12GB
Hello! New guy here. Can I run Elder Scrolls Online with this specs? Even if it is at low settings it would be ok (I normally play it on a PS4 and the experience is not the best). Hope someone can help me :) I wanna know if I should buy it before the current sale ends.
Maybe it's for the best you stick to the PS4...
If I were to upgrade nothing but the graphics card, what games would I then be able to play?
Any graphics card you might put in there will be held back by your G630 anyway. Might as well upgrade both.
For the G630 and GT210, I recommend Touhou Project.
The G630 performs better than a Core 2 Duo 3GHz, so providing your video card replacement is up to snuff, any game looking for a C2D (or dual core in general) should be in your reach.
GT210 and G630?!
Upgrade to an i5-2500 and then drop a GTX1060 or at least an RX470 in there, then just sit back, relax and watch a miracle happening right in front of your eyes!
A4 6300, 4GB ram, Radeon Hd 8370d, Windows 8.1
Any good rpg's besides the Fallout series? Thanks in advance!
The
i got $9.96 on steam and i have intel pentium n3540 2..16-2.66 ghz 4gb ram intel bay trail graphics what will run?
i know fnaf but can i get some other suggestions? any sales for low end games?
Touhou Project.
I got 2 GB RAM at 800mhz, Pentium Dual Core
Unreal Tournament 2004
Hop on ebay and get yourself a Q6600. I got one on ebay for $15. I upgraded from the same pentium on a G31 chipset
Half Life 2!
I once ran it with a Core 2 Duo E6300 and believe it or not, it managed to maintain a constant 30FPS at 1280x1024.
Then there's Splinter Cell, Hitman 1 - 3, NFS: Most Wanted (Might be able to run at low settings). Too many to name, actually.
