Binged the entire series of Larry Sanders last year. I miss shows like that.

When I was producing and directing Days of our lives ( like sands through the hour glass)
Gary Shandling would come everyday to sit in the control booth with me .. he wanted a pass so the Security wouldn’t hassle him . I gave him a huge hour glass with his name on it ..
“The is Gary Shandling’s life time pass to days of our lives ... be gone in an hour” he was doing his show on the same lot .
I wonder if he kept it .. I thought he was there because of the beautiful actress .. turned out I found out later he had a crush on me ...lol

First time I saw Shandling, he was the warm-up act for Joan Rivers at Caesar's Tahoe in the late 1980's. His best joke still resonates: "I have a mirror over my bed that says 'Objects are Larger Than They Appear.'" Innately funny guy who reinvigorated comedy to all our benefits.
