Add another arrow to the quiver against cancer. We need to stop looking for the magic arrow and look at a variety of treatments for patients. The advancements recently in technology, drugs, treatment forms is astounding.

Immunology is clearly the most efficacious route to fighting cancer that we have thus far devised. The advancements, albeit slower than we would like, are encouraging developments to the millions of people suffering from cancer.
I know insurance companies drool at the prospect of making trillions from cancer treatments, but when the big breakthrough finally arrives, and I believe it eventually will, I would like to suggest that they and the pharmaceutical industry gift treatments to Americans so our fellow citizens don’t have to go broke trying to save their lives.
At the moment, Americans suffering from final stage cancer have to spend half their time fighting their cancer and the other half arguing with bureaucrats at insurance companies. Wouldn’t it be nice if someday in the future we could all agree victims of cancer shouldn’t have to spend precious hours on the phone arguing with telephone reps from healthcare insurance firms, AKA Corporate America?
As crazy as it sounds, maybe someday we can all agree it’s dishonorable and unethical for already wealthy one-percenters getting rich beyond anyone’s wildest imagination from the illness industry. Maybe everything doesn’t have to have a profit motive after all?
Hey, perhaps all the billionaires could team up and buy the cancer breakthrough for our nation so ordinary Americans could benefit without having to declare bankruptcy.
I know - I’m living in a progressive fantasy and disregarding the best interests of the rich.
