Let's all give a big welcome to our new and first Asian 🇵🇭 - American 🇺🇸 host of blue's clues and you Josh Dela Cruz and I'm so happy that he was choose by the original blue's clues host Steve 🤗 and I hope that you will enjoy on being a host of blue's clues and you just like your cousins Steve and Joe when they were both hosts of the original blue's clues before 😄

If little kids are going to watch tv, it SHOULD be slow tv, not frenetic garbage.

My twins were born in 1996, the same year that Blue’s Clues debut. Steve and Blue were their favorites! The show was intellectual for preschoolers, captured our imaginations and our hearts. Reading this article brought back such warm, fun memories of raising my little ones. We’d watch this show together and figure out the clues. It was a magical time. I’m so happy to see it return and even more hopeful it remains in the same format as the original. Every child could use a little quiet, slow, interactive, loving Blue’s Clues time - even tho it is on a screen!!

My two year old (27 months) loves the Steve and Joe Blue’s Clues and gets extremely excited when the commercials for the new ones with Josh come on, recognizing it as the show he already knows. Applying the label of “basic” is adults projecting. The “silence” is a successful cue for my toddler, as is the simulated eye-contact, interaction and ultimately, inclusion. This format is still unique. I wish the new series and host lots of luck.

@A same I love Steve and Joe from the original blue's clues and I gets extremely excited when the commercials for the new ones with Josh Dela Cruz The "silence" of blue's clues and the interaction between the host and the viewers were the most successful cue to me , as is the simulated eye - contact , interaction , and ultimately , inclusion . The format of the new reboot blue's clues and you was is still unique as usual You know that the new series and host has lots of luck everyday

Why do all the hosts of Blues Clues look higher than kites?
Laurent Stanevich (Ann Arbor, MI)
@Colleen Because they're mirroring the open, welcoming attitude of their target audience.
Remy Flores (Philippines 🇵🇭)
@Laurent Stanevich I didn't know about that so Steve💚 and Joe💜 and Josh💙 are always doing that because when i first saw Steve in tv before I feel his welcoming attitude and so as when I first saw Joe in tv before I feel his welcoming attitude and today when I first saw Josh in tv I feel his welcoming attitude . I'm so happy that now I feel Steve and Joe welcoming attitude when I first watched the new blue's clues in tv and I can't wait to watch the third season of blue's clues and you in either 2021 or 2022 🤗

Forgot to add that the new host Joshua Dela Cruz reminds me of a young Jeff Fatt, one of the original cast members of The Wiggles (the iconic Australian children’s show, also popular in New Zealand).

@Passion for Peaches yea , Josh kinda reminds me of a young Jeff Fatt , one of the former original cast members of The Wiggles and I miss watching The Wiggles in YouTube 😭 # Greg 💛 # Murray ❤️ # Anthony 💙 # Jeff 💜

Blues Clues debuted the year my son was born, 1996. We watched it all the time during his growing-up years, but I sure don't remember it as a particular "quiet" show. I am totally puzzled by the angle this story takes.
Thereaa (Boston)
@Cynthia starks Maybe “quiet” as in not full of over-the-top visuals, fast-paced action, changing story lines...as opposed to quiet audio. Some of the kids shows are almost unbearable to watch these days.
Remy Flores (Philippines 🇵🇭)
@Cynthia starks Same , I'm totally puzzled the new episodes of blue's clues and you season 3 and it was based on the original blue's clues episodes before I can't wait to watch it sooner or later this 2021

I'm glad a new generation will have this opportunity to learn the importance of being quiet, listening and taking turns. Can they make a version of this show for grownups? I have a particular network in mind to carry that.

I see plenty of parents leaving the TV on for their toddlers, with the sound either turned off or nearly so. The kids will watch for a bit, go run around and play until they need a break, then come back and stare at the screen again. And repeat. So maybe the images are enough to calm them and refresh their batteries. It’s sort of like a Roomba returning to the charge station.

Interesting this is being made in Toronto, would have liked to have learned more about that in the article. I'm assuming it is due to the excellent infrastructure there for animators, studio space, production labour (and the Canadian dollar)? Or was it simply because 9 Story had acquired the Blue's Clues rights when they bought Out of the Blue Entertainment?
Deanna (NY)
Will kids watch it? Absolutely! Speaking from the experience of my own children, shows that did not have constant music and a-mile-a-minute dialogue that was hard to understand were the only shows they wanted to watch at 2-3 years old. My oldest didn’t really watch tv until she started watching Blue’s Clues. The quietness, the slower pace, the clear articulation of words—all of those things were appealing to her. Other shows are just noise.

@Deanna Same , I remember my childhood days when I started watching the original blue's clues in DVD player before and the truth I didn't really watch TV since I was a little girl before until I started watching the original blue's clues Now I started watching the new blue's clues in Nick Jr before last March 2020 and when I first saw the commercials abouth the new blue's clues I feel so excited to watch and I can't believe that the original blue's clues will have a reboot version of it since it was released since last November 11, 2019 in Nick Jr before I have a question to your daughter , who is her most favorite blue's clues characters and why ? Did she still watching the new blue's clues in Nick Jr today ?

My now 11yo, loved Blue’s Clues way after he was supposedly too old for it. He would watch this new version today (if we still had Nickelodeon). If Netflix or Amazon Prime pick it up, he’s in!

Josh did a lot of coursework in my department while in college. He's extremely talented, a truly wonderful human being, and I wish him all success in this new role.
