Knicks Search for the Right Lineup. But Is There One?

Knicks will continue to be perennial losers as long as Dolan owns the team. I also have no confidence in Scott Perry or Steve Mills after this past season's trade debacles. I have not watched a game this season and do not plan on wasting my time on a rag-tag bunch of losers. I just feel sad for Mr. Barrett, who is clearly a winner. They will burn Barrett out as they did Bernard King.

Fizdale is a terrible coach. Ntilikina should be given the ball and told to run the team. At least he brings defense and ball movement when he is in the game. Eventually his shot will come. But if you don't let him make mistakes then you are just stunting his improvement. Let's not get to riled up about RJ, great north/south player, terrible on lateral movement on defense. Can't have two sets of rules for your players. The. three stooges, Mills, Perry and Fizzdale are trying to build in the moment, it's obvious that they have no clue what they are doing. Your future is Ntilikina, Barrett and Knox, the rest is window dressing. BTW nice move losing Porzingis.

"The Lineup. But Is There One?" NOT in this hapless team! Thanks to "management misadventures"? Now that's an amusing euphemism! How about "utter and complete management incompetence"? Expecting a winning, or even a decent, team to magically appear out of the mediocre (or worse) roster that "management" has assembled on the Knicks is like believing that Santa or the Easter Bunny will magically conjure of a winning team out of one that's clearly worse than almost any other in the NBA!

I never bought the narrative that Porzingis wanted out of New York. Every time I was watching a game in person last year, he was on the bench cheering on teammates and being supportive. How management could have traded a twenty-point scorer with shot-blocking ability for a point guard with the yipes is beyond me. If Porzingis stays healthy, last year’s trade will be considered a colossal blunder.
