Ahhhh yes. What a wonderful win for the 'fins. If we win only 1 game all year, as long as it's vs. the Jests, it's alllll gooood.

Hey, at least they're up for a first round draft pick!

Speaking purely about the entertainment value of the games, it's better to be comically bad than aggressively mediocre, I guess. At least someone on the field can make a lot of exciting scoring.

Woody and Chris Johnson are among the most inept owners in sports. Worse, they don’t seem to realize this. They should step back from the organization, give Joe Douglas the power to fire Gase and hire his replacement alongside a mandate to rebuild this team from the ground up.
Joseph Schmidt (Kew Gardens)
Fold the franchise. Maybe move it to Salt Lake City. Anyplace is better than here.

Sam Darnold cannot be effective when three lineman are in his face immediately after he's dropped back to pass. See Brady. who could read a book while he looks for the open man. Leveon Bell, has been amazing considering he has absolutely no holes to run thru: cue lousy offensive line. The 'defensive genius' Greg whatever, is anything but, see anemic pass rush, constant wide open receivers. The Jets are a train wreck who made Ryan Fitzpatrick look like Tom Brady on Sunday. We went from bad to worse. But we're Jets fan, still watching Joe Willie's Super Bowl clips.

The Jets and the Giants have disappointed their fans for quite some time. Since Leon Hess died, and the subsequent sale of the Jets, the team lost it's guiding light. Mr. Hess was the biggest Jets fan. He was hands-on and a relentless advocate in trying to find ways to improve the team. Without that old-school kind of ownership, being a Jets fan, or even being a football fan these days feels more like it's all about the corporate brand, while fans and most players are getting fleeced via corporate greed.

The only thing that can save the Jets is to send a DeLorean or TARDIS back 50 years and bring the Super Bowl III winners in their prime into the present day. Even then, I doubt Weeb Ewbank & Joe Namath could guarantee a win against Bill Belichick & Tom Brady (and I'm anti-Patriots).

I was never able to understand why fans were optimistic about this season. The offensive line and the secondary were weak by pretty much any estimation. I do not think that Tom Brady could make this team go. As a franchise, they are just simply the Boston Braves of Pro Football and just like the old Boston Braves, yes, the NY Jets did win it all once upon a time. Some teams are just star crossed, though the Jets have no curse of the Bambino to blame it on, just a very long string of bad management combined with bad luck.

50 years is long enough to wait. SOJ. Click. Done.

The problem with the New York Jets : The owners. The Johnsons are feckless, without pride and seem happy to spend lots of money to own & perpetuate a losing team. Too bad they can't be stripped of ownership by the League. Gase & Darnold are on the dust heap already. Gase will deservedly be fired. Who ever thought he was HC caliber ? Darnold will become the Andrew Luck version at the Jets. Year after year beat up and chronically injured due to a revolving door of silly, inept coaching staffs and GMs.
Ron Boschan (Philadelphia)
Please fire Joe Douglas so he can return to the Eagles. He is a great evaluator of talent. GM's require a certain amount of time to prove their value, and to undo the mistakes of others. Joe, please come back to Philly!

Jet fan for nearly 50 years here. The one consistency this organization has is constantly figuring new and innovative ways to disappoint their fans.

The Jets, like the Knicks, need new owners and top management. Repeated failure indicates feature of leadership and management. Too often commentators focus on the players when teams lose, and praise owners and coaches when teams win. If you own the business and it keeps tanking, you are the problem.
