Laura Ingraham adopted her children from Russia and is reputed to be friends with Putin. So what are her loyalties?
61
A kid offered to split his Twix bar with President Trump. The kid offered him Left Twix.
Trump had him thrown out of the White House AND he confiscated his candy.
14
But seriously, Laura Ingraham is the devil incarnate. She is truly awful.

Veterans instead of supporting Trump should be up in arms (figuratively, not literally!), when campaigning he called the US Military a joke, he is someone who dodged the draft during Vietnam, he is a president who has scorned the advice of Military men like Mattis, humiliated several ex Generals, berated the joint chiefs for opposing withdrawing from Iraq, and basically set up an ally, the Kurds, from 2 different wars to be slaughtered by the Turks (not to mention helping the Russians and the Syrian government ), yet they still cheer the man. Veterans talk about duty and honor, how the heck can they look themselves in the face supporting someone who knows nothing about the first (except to himself) and has none of the second?

@music observer
As someone that served in Desert Storm, I don't have a problem looking at myself in the mirror, but then again I don't now, nor have I ever been a republican nor supported the republican party, ever. I've known what they really were about, all my life. I spent my youth, witnessing the abuse the republican party has heaped upon people of color, and women.
Growing up in the mid to late 1960s, in an interracial family, I witnessed first hand the overt racism my step father faced, while trying to take care of his family. I was also subjected to racism, I vividly recall bringing a friend home from school, only to have them tell me the next day that they couldn't come back. My step father a decorated WWII Navy vet, took on a white woman and her 4 children when we were very small, I was about 7. In fact it was still against federal law for interracial marriage, so they weren't even married until 1968. He worked at Todd Shipyards in Seattle, as a ship fitter, a skilled trade not to mention very hard work. My father made substantially less than his white counter parts, doing the same work.
I witnessed discrimination in terms of housing, I was too young to understand what was happening, looking back it was clear what white landlords were doing. It was the not in our white neighborhood, syndrome.
I take racism, hatred, the defiling of women it's offensive. I've never been spit on by a person of color, I can't say the same about white people.

I wish this column was available on Saturdays.I love watching the videos.I spend more time on the videos than the rest of the Times.
11
@Lazarus : You can watch vids from all the late-night shows on YT. (I assume that you know this, but just in case. It's a great way to start every day, and on the weekends I'll search for something a few years old that I haven't seen, or have forgotten.)
Best wishes.

One more thing, didn't the current attendant in the white house and his posse attempt to deride, mock and belittle the family of a soldier killed in action?
I seem to remember something like this.
65
@Rick Tornello : I'm pretty sure this is what you're talking about --
Donald Trump Criticizes Muslim Family of Slain U.S. Soldier, Drawing Ire
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/31/us/politics/donald-trump-khizr-khan-wife-ghazala.html
15
The most salient truth about America is that it is a nation of immigrants. To belittle immigrants is ...a bad joke?!
52
You _can't_ make this stuff up. You really can't. No one would believe it. The world has become a satire of itself.
41
These comedians help us keep our sanity. Thank you very much for the synopsis since it’s impossible to catch them all. (And sometimes we actually have to catch some sleep!)
82
One cannot mock this Crime Ring enough.
76
I notice that Fox News has no late night comics...are they too afraid to laugh at themselves?
98
@Diane L Edge, the most notable time the right-wing tried a comedy show, it was...dire, to say the least. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_1/2_Hour_News_Hour
9
@Diane L Edge conservatives are not funny and have no rhythm.
40
@Diane L Edge - Comedy has its roots in truth and right wingers aren't real big on truth.
49
I'm not sure this fits , here goes.
We have a trillion dollar deficit brought on by the Congress and trump. Now can you spell bankrupt? This reminds me of typical trump tactics, he leaves the clean up of his disasters to every one else, aka the middle class or what's left of it.
Then you have his family as advisors in the white house. Didn't Bobby Kennedy teach us anything about that?
I just don't get it. Any one who has to balance a check book should be able to see right through the fraud and nepotism.
45
@Rick Tornello
Except that Robert F. Kennedy was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be Attorney General. His qualifications and legal experience dwarfed that of Trump’s brood exponentially.
73
@EdNY yes okay on the technicalities, but I was referring to the idea of family in highly specialized advisory places initially and using the late Mr. Kennedy as an example.
Regarding qualifications, that's totally different story. The trumpets have none other than genetics.
Honestly, thank you for making sure that was brought to all our attention. The skill and knowledge factor is important in any high stakes game. But here it's critical.
12
Remembering Trump's nastiness towards McCain ("He's no hero." and that Trump didn't like people who had been captured, he liked people that "hadn't been captured"), Trump and his minions could say:
"I don't like people who were wounded. I like people who weren't wounded."
66
Conan O'Brien's comment about "that nice family" was the best!!! Well done!
74
I would certainly trust the person with the most perceived credibility over the person without a single gram of credibility. Years ago I had to make the decision whether to believe a long term employee with a proven track record of being truthful as opposed to a first year probationary employee who had demonstrated not to be totally truthful at times. I took the word of the long term employee and the probationary employee was terminated. Turned out to be a good call in the long run, and the right call. Unfortunately, while I do believe that even presidents can't be entirely truthful on everything, this one has total credibility problem and I cannot believe anything that he says.
