I have never heard anything like Ghosteen. It left me with tears streaming down my face. All I could do was message my son and ask him to look after himself and that I loved him. Listening to Ghosteen is like sharing someone’s soul.

My son and I had the privilege of seeing Nick Cave for his “Conversation” tour at Lincoln Center in September. My son, Zak, was chosen to ask a question and Nick Cave was generous and humble in his response. Nick Cave is an artist who truly believes in creative growth. Anyone who has an opportunity to engage with his work is lucky to experience his great and generous heart.

One of the best albums I have had the privilege of listening to. Somber it may be, but beautiful it is.

I read the Red Hand Files religiously. By that I mean, like beautiful meditative written sermons. I lost faith a long time ago, but receiving so much love and compassion through someone’s writing is a beautiful act of grace.

I share your feelings. The Red Hand Files has become part of a ritual to me, an opportunity to share the human experience with someone who has such a sense of grace and gratitude

Even before his son's death, Cave's work in recent years has been remarkably generous in its insights and empathy. Now in his 60s, his continued growth as an artist seems unique.

There is a figurative cliff between those who have suffered such a loss and those who haven’t. Mr Cave shows great courage in the various forums in which he talks about it.

I truly hope Nick finds peace and continues to use his enormous artistic talents to deal with the awful tragedy of losing his son.
