Paul Rudd can grow a beard and pull his face downward, he STILL hasn't aged a day in 30 years. He's a wonderful, underutilized actor.

This article made me happy

I loved him as Lesley Knope’s nemesis in Parks and Recreation, but really he’s great in anything, even interviews.
Jc
Loved him in "This is Forty". Funniest movie ever.

The Fundamentals of Caring-beautiful film, great acting, great heart.

I like Paul Rudd. He was especially good in The Catcher Was A Spy. And he is often the only one who’s watchable in some of the screwball comedies. But self-effacement is not a great role for him. And there is such a thing as overexposure.
Expat (London)
@David G. If only some of the Hollywood stars have half the self-effacing trait Paul Rudd has!

To see the greatness of Paul Rudd, go to YouTube and click on "Lip Sync Battle with Paul Rudd" showing Rudd lip syncing Freddie Mercury's "Don't Stop Me Now" on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. It got 266,000 upvotes! Rudd is so funny that Fallon collapses laughing. Rudd's talent is breathtaking.
Bob Allen (Calif.)
@Virtually Fallon is ALWAYS falling down laughing at almost anything.

I've loved him since his funny turn as Juliet's hapless would-be husband Paris in Baz Luhrman's 1996 Romeo + Juliet.

@Deborah - As have I! When my friends and I saw that movie in the theatre, we laughed outright at Paul’s character - he was indeed hapless, and didn’t have a prayer of capturing Claire Danes’ winsome Juliet heart, not when when Leonardo DiCaprio was Romeo gazing at her through a fish tank. But now, looking back at it through the lens of time, if a girl has to be forced to marry anyone - as Juliet is nearly forced to do with Paris in both the movie and the original Shakespeare play - she could do a lot worse than Paul Rudd. As an adult, I’ve come to appreciate Paul Rudd, the actor. While he’s still quite handsome in an understated sort of way, his acting talents are quite impressive. I enjoyed his performance in “The Catcher Was a Spy”. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it. He was excellent as Moe Berg.

Paul can do no wrong. His acting range is incredible.
Bruce Savin (Montecito)
Paul Rudd is the kind of guy you fall in love with, on the other hand, Brad Pitt is the guy who plays the guy you fall in love with.

Love Paul. Is he the Forrest Gump of Hollywood?
Tom (Northern Virginia)
What! Why no mention of his GREAT performance in "Ideal Family" He was absolutely wonderful in that movie!!! :)
GJR (NY, NY)
Agreed! I love him in everything but I think this film is my absolute favorite of his performances.
Pat M (Texas)
I became a big fan of Paul Rudd after watching "My Idiot Brother." The rest of the cast is fantastic as well.
pittsburgheze (Pittsburgh, PA)
Too bad Mr. Rudd eschews social media. I think my Twitter feed would be more interesting with his wit and humility.
geofos (Denver, CO)
@pittsburgheze For me, that's one more reason to like him!
Hope (Santa Barbara)
He is an Everyman with a prolific career. Good range and comedic timing. I always enjoy seeing him on the Big Screen.
Sarah W (Baton Rouge)
Paul, I'd take you over Brad Pitt any day of the week!
Sara Andrea (Chile)
@Sarah W Me too!
David S. (Brooklyn)
Add me to your choir!!

Pail Rudd is the master of the wink. He brings the spectator along for the ride.
Connor Dougherty (Denver, CO)
yipeeeee. Another movie about a guy.
BW (Canada)
I don't understand why this guy is famous. Boring.
Debbie (Den Haag)
Mike Hannigan...sigh!
James Pedley (Brisbane, Australia)
@Debbie The way Mike Hannigan plays air-keyboards is just the coolest thing.
Stephanie Han (Long Beach, CA)
Paul Rudd is awesome! Looking forward to this show.
Lawrence (New York City)
I had the pleasure of meeting, although rather briefly, Mr. Rudd a couple of times. I found him personally to be as personable, charming and down to earth as the characters he plays. No pretensions, and I think he would prefer to be called Paul. I look forward to seeing him in this new series.
Celimene (Copenhagen)
@Lawrence While I didn't chat with him, I had the pleasure of sitting next to Mr. Rudd during a play. It was Caryl Churchill's "A Number" at the NYTW. The play was engrossing, and the performance held 99% of my attention. I couldn't help but notice, however, that Mr. Rudd was also fully invested in watching the play. He was present, engaged, and when the play was finished, he was the first person who leaped to their feet to give the actors a standing ovation. The qualities that made him an excellent audience member are the same things I appreciate in him as an actor.
TS (Ft Lauderdale)
Looking forward to the series, and Paul Rudd may be perfect casting. But I also hope they explore in a pertinent way the concept of identity itself. It is, after all, the central issue in human experience; maybe art can help us outgrow attachment to self-definitions ("I am...") and the damaging consequences of narrow, parochial group identifications in mortal conflict.
Susankm (Wilmette, IL)
I have nothing against Paul Rudd but this is just another example of how as a man gets older his roles expand while women his age are either planning someone’s mom or not getting any roles at all. He can do comedy, drama, actions pictures (where the real money is).
Brooke (MA)
Just here to say that he is so handsome/adorable, and these photos are quite devastating. I would much rather watch Paul Rudd than Pitt, any day.
Myra (Georgia)
I have only recently come to appreciate Pitt, but I’ve adored Paul Rudd since I first saw him in a few episodes of the old TV show Sisters.
JLP (CA)
@Myra Don't forget "Anyone Can Quantum"!
