Can’t think of another artist at the top of their game to make a change like this? Uhhh, go Google Norah Jones who went pop, rock whatever and is now playing house parties. Sturgill will be back begging for his country followers.

In today’s entertainment world....amazing. What a breath of fresh air.

I was unaware of his work until I saw him on SNL a couple of years ago. "Oh, they booked a country singer," I thought. He and the Dap-Kings blasted out an extraordinary, explosive version of "Call to Arms," complete with screaming trumpet solos, thrown guitars, kicked cymbals, and the organ being overturned. (It's still on YouTube.) And then I thought, "That's a country singer???" The new album sounds like it's gonna be great.

He won't let his genius be pried from his humility, and this makes his contribution infinitely more valuable.

Greatly looking forward to the music/lyrics/voice of a unique and special artist. Interesting guy. "Just Let Go" is quite close to perfection!

I admire Simpson's work. He's learned the pernicious lesson of which most music fans aren't aware: There's no free lunch in this cut-throat business of leeches and sychophants.

Simpson sounds like a pretty normal Human Being. I wish him well.

I'm really excited to hear Sturgill's new stuff. As a fellow Kentuckian, it's always great to see someone from here do well. Especially to do it in his own way, not bending to the record labels and what country music "should be." Cant wait to hear it!

Sturgill is my favorite music artist. Searing music and brilliant lyrics. My boyfriend and I just watched "The Dead Don't Die", absolutely thrilled at the many hilarious references to the man. Obviously his fan base runs deep. We're willing to go to Europe to catch his show but hoping US dates are released soon. Let it rip, Sturgill. I know you'll find a way to keep it all good.

Down to earth guy who has his head screwed on straight. And someone who makes good music on his terms. Stay true, brother. I wish you were my neighbor.

This is a man who has a firm hold on his priorities. Looking forward to the new release and wish him all the success he decides he wants - no more, no less.
