A love for bossa nova quickly evolved to other Brazilian genre years ago, Mercury being one of my favorites. So happy to see her playing in the United States! I wish I could be there. She is great.

Daniela initiated a music style called Axé which is currently available in any record store around the globe, along Bossa Nova and World Music. But most importantly she became an egalitarian embassador in Brasil. Nice legacy!

While traveling in Brazil in 1993, I heard those hits from "Canto da Cidade" on the radio many times and bought the album. Very catchy, and I recommend it. Too bad I'll miss the NYC concert by two days!! Please go in my place and see if you like it.
