I wish every new restaurant that opens up good luck, but for every 1 that opens, about 5 close who haven't even been open that long.

Charcoal grill, edible flowers, people my age?! “Gotta have a gimmick, baby...”

"Many of the new places I’m looking forward to most eagerly will have women running their kitchens" Who cares as long as they're good cooks? I don't go to restos for a lesson in diversity politics.

A mind-boggling variety of new restaurants, just about each one planning to offer his own version of two or more mixed national cuisines. The tastes of New Yorkers should be well served and even saturated for a few years.
