In the slide show the photos and descriptions either didn't show for all the dishes and/or the descriptions would disappear after a few seconds.

@Paula H I prefer Cantonese-style pork siu mai without rice, but I have had mushroom siu mai that had rice mixed in with the vegetables.

@ Paula H Oakland, CA Shanghai shaomai uses glutinous rice, according to Wikipedia. As to my taste, I like neither Chinese, nor Russian or German dumplings boiled, but only fried.
