Dear Mr., Dear Pharrell,
Are you joking? Arming children is the future? You really think that’s the way towards a more just, harmonious world? By teaching children to kill? Let's be clear: More guns is the last thing anyone needs right now. Children are called children because they are growing, unformed beings. They lack judgment. That's why we don't let them drive. Granted, plenty of adults lack judgment too (you two being prime examples), but before we throw up our hands at all adults, let's think for a moment about who created our current society. Sad to say, but it's men, right? Men are responsible for the gross majority of violence in our society. Men invented guns. Men invented war. Men continue to perpetuate the idea of violence as the only means to resolve conflict. Clearly this is not leading us anywhere good. So, if we rule out men as the necessary visionaries for our future (based on past performance) and we rule out children based on lack of judgment, where does that leave us? Is it not eminently clear that our vision for the future must come from women? Is it not wildly apparent that it is precisely women--women of every shape and size and color of the rainbow--who must carry us forward? Is it not the voices and visions of women that have been suppressed for so long? Is it not the energy and wisdom of women that is essential to creating a hopeful future? Please, hear me on this. It is plain as day: Women will envision the future or humanity itself will perish.

More ads than images of the art itself... nice.

My inner child is from outer space where we see and feel things differently than most human artist.

I think this notion that 'our generation', aka Gen X has and continues to fail is an empty statement. After all it was our generation that birthed many artists and musicians that continue to make important and relevant work that Millenials and Gen Z listen to and absorb (ie. Chemical Brothers, The Avalanches, Thom Yorke, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Jay Z, Dave Chappelle, David La Chappelle, Quentin Tarantino.......). It's really pitiful that we must pit generations against each other in this way, instead of seeing creative production as a continuum that builds person upon person as lived experience and observation culminates in output.
