In a closed society like the Vatican any crime is possible.

The tombs were empty?!? No, I'm not going to go there. Years ago I read "The Passover Plot", what almost 50 years ago? How time flies.. But, here we have the tombs of women of royal families..... empty. Perhaps empty for over 200 years. So, here's the questions: How many royals, both male and female, are entombed in the Vatican? How many were buried with gems, furs and silks? And, how was it that someone knew those tombs were empty? This is an ultimate insider job. And I regret the death of the young woman and agree with the other commentors that there is/was insider information. It never stops, does it?

I think the answer to the girl's disappearance is simple; she was probably sexually abused by a church pedophile who killed her and disposed of her body. Terrible....

In January of 2011 then head of the FBI, Robert Mueller, gave a speech to graduates in which he outlined the threat of organized crime, describing the the "playing field has having changed", involving a "...shift from regional families with a clear structure, to flat, fluid networks with global reach." He also said that they were seeing "...cross-pollination between groups that historically have not worked together. Criminals who may never meet, but who share one thing in common: greed." What frightened me the most about his speech was the next two paragraphs: "They may be former members of nation-state government, security services, or the military. These individuals know who and what to target, and how best to do it. They are capitalists and entrepreneurs. But they are also master criminals who move easily between the licit and illicit worlds. And in some cases, these organizations are as forward-leaning as Fortune 500 companies." "This is not The Sopranos, with six guys sitting in a diner, shaking down a local business owner for $50 dollars a week. These criminal enterprises are making billions of dollars from human trafficking, health care fraud, computer intrusions, and copyright infringement. They are corning the market on natural gas, oil and precious metals, and selling to the highest bidder." This story, the Epstein story and the "story" of what is happening in our government, in the White House, should give us all pause.

@Claudia-Hopefully, investigators will collect Mr. Epstein's surveillance camera footage and take a look into subterranean (de)basements in his multiple properties; especially the out-of-the-way private Little and Great St. James Islands. A part of his private island suffered a massive, mysterious fire--earlier this year, I believe--and construction has proceeded without authorized permits or inspections. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/07/everything-we-know-about-jeffrey-epsteins-private-islands.html

This reader can't help wondering where Mr Epstein was and exactly what he was doing when this terribly unfortunate fifteen year old disappeared.

"And the tomb was empty..." Where have we seen this before?
Dee (Los Angeles)
@Orazio So .... what, she rose again three days later and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
Ann (California)
@Orazio-Many questions: why would the Vatican finally grant access after decades of denial? ...Appoint their own forensic specialist rather than the police? ...And direct the family about where to look? Empty tombs? Lots of time to remove evidence.

@Ann Vatican City is a sovereign state. I believe they have their own police and investigative departments. Nothing about the Vatican government is clear.
