Shades of “Señor”, the Alexa-like voice assistant system on the HBO dystopian future series set in England,”Years and Years”!

Hmm. What could go wrong?

This is a slippery slope. Alexa giving medical advice? Rest assured this data will end up in clutches of those who would will ultimately monetise it.

Could this be made available in the U.S., perhaps for a fee? I have learned that when I have an internet health question, it’s often useful to check U.K. sources against the usual info that Google sends me in Virginia. The U.S. advice is sometimes more reliant on pharmaceuticals than might be necessary. Occasionally the U.K. view is more old-fashioned advice like my grandmother—a nurse—would have given me. And it’s always equally effective.

@Julie the UK advice is usually something around "this will go away on its own". LOL

If the program comes “at no expense to taxpayers” you can be sure your data will be monetized.
