Scoff however much you want, but at the end of the day the (internet) girl seems to be doing something she loves and is making money doing it. Not my thing, but she gets my respect!

I shared this with my 15 year old niece who loves to go to the thrift store and find outfits to match different aesthetics (her word). What a fantastic business model developed by and for a new generation!

In the '90s, we proto-influencers decided that the future of the country was going to consist entirely of people selling one another's websites. No more making, no more doing -- just a perpetual round of vapourware. We evidently didn't calculate 'un-boxing' into the calculation.

Watching someone else shop on a screen, them buying the stuff that they find and endorse as stylish -- that's just pathetic. Get out there yourself, work the racks, take your own risks!

@Andy, it's watered down a few more layers - after they buy the stuff they unbox it through yet another screen and thousands of others watch and "like" it rapt- eyed
Mark (San Francisco)
The world is insane.

I was a teen in the 90s and have a photo somewhere of myself in a T-shirt with a slip dress over it, a flannel shirt, and combat boots. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to revisit that.

I was hoping with the climate crisis shopping would drop. At least some of it’s second hand clothing.
