Aren't we already drowning in superficial sexist trash T.V.??? Do we really need to import more?

Judging by the comments, potential viewers are NOT your readers (or at least those willign to comment). Is that a reflection on The Times or its readers? Maybe the ediotor who who assigned the story can answer?

It's sad that this is the import we're getting when Gogglebox is so much better and would be far more interesting. I've heard an American version of Gogglebox is in the works. Please write about that.

Why not remake Gardener’s World instead. There is enough look at me shows.

Trump will have real competition... And maybe that's a good thing!

The most fascinating fact about the show I learned from this article is that it will air at 8 pm. I wonder who made that choice, and, more importantly, why?

"Need" is a very strong word, dear Newspaper.

Undoubtedly this import is as crass, dumb, and scripted as the similar "reality" shows we already have in the USA. Why do we need another?

‘Love’ has nothing to do with it.

What amazes me is the disconnect between what goes on in corporate America and this type of trash. In corporate America if a man looks at a woman the wrong way, he could be in trouble. He should be completely neutered, castrated and serve at the will of the woman, she runs the show. Here, the women are treated like trashy sex objects to be used and abused by men as they see fit. Truly bizarre.

My wife, daughter, her boyfriend and I find the UK and Australian versions fascinating. There is much to learn from the mistakes made by others. It is also nice when couples get along. I am a medical specialist with academic credentials and I am certainly not embarrassed to admit that I watch these shows.

My daughter also unashamedly watches this, and agrees with you on the educational nature of watching other peoples decisions and consequences. She did comment that if this were an experiment (rather than reality TV) it would be extremely unlikely to get ethics approval ....

In the very unlikely event that I would watch this, I would never admit it to anyone.

@LC Watch the first British season, it's kind of fascinating in a way. Hilarious, but also fascinating.
LC (Pac nw)
@centralSQ Ok, maybe. :-)
