I know personally this wonderful team and Dr.McGrath, an amazing team of hardworking caring human beings. They provide the support, live attention and hope these kids need. Unfortunately for some it’s to late and they are adults trapped in the trauma and cycle which I witness first had in my nursing profession in trauma. It is critical to provide the programs and assistance these young kids need. Congratulations on making a difference. Much love to all

While wonderful people struggle to help the millions of children who are used as sex objects the world over, can we PLEASE make it a priority to solve the central problem: why so many men need to use children to sexually gratify themselves. I have no doubt some children are being used by women, but the majority of villains are men. Men who enjoy harming children. What makes them so sick? Why have they been allowed to get away with such horrible crimes for millennia?

Last night I watched a PBS Frontline program on trafficking in Phoenix. I live in a confluence of 2 interstate highways where there is also much trafficking. The Miami Chance program is astounding in that the program for individual teens and foster parents was already in place. I am thankful some cities are beginning to take charge of helping recover teens who need help in leaving their sordid situations. For one thing - when cities are involved (tax dollars) rather than individuals setting up 'homes' local trafficking becomes immediately known. The way I learned of my city's large problem was through a speech to a small group of people by the person who used personal funds to open first one, then two safe houses.

There is some public-awareness research on trafficking that relates to this issue, specifically, foster children and former foster children being trafficked. Read more here from a spring survey by the Saint Leo University Polling Institute. U.S. and comparable stats from Florida included: http://bit.ly/2HueFRd
