I love Fleabag. She is human, complex, and nuanced. She deals with loss and mourning, and with having to survive and carry on at the same time, with as is evident, very little emotional support. I don't see her as being self centered- to protect a sister multiple times, or to care for animals, however small, and insignificant are not signs of a destroyer or a self-destructive person. I don't see how she destroys herself by running a cafe, or trying to find meaningful relations. She is skeptical, but hasn't that been there since Hesiod and Horace? Why can women not be ironic, or half believers in grand truths? I think she is a brilliant character and if she is representative fo our times, so be it! I will hang out with her gladly:)

Nicely said. I like her too.

In case anyone thinks this is fun, the UK is equally good at producing panic buying in mundane stuff like sugar, coffee, an even salt. All it takes is a rumour. And oligopolism.

Fleabag is a really awful person. self-centered and destructive. Appropriate for our times.
