That's a lot of disposable income, and you have to love the heat.

I have a friend who bought his dream house in the Caribbean After 12 months of drinking rum he sold and came home Lesson learnt....let someone else own, I’m happy to rent for a couple of weeks (Ps, will Ms Warren and her fabulous giveaway pay for this too?)

As a native of Barbados I find myself being more appalled than anything else. $125 million property? I am all for progress and some gentrification but on an island that is 166 square miles there is such a thing as overbuilding not to mention pricing the locals out. May I ask why Brazilian influences in the house? Frankly I have seen plenty of old plantation houses that were better designed but I am veering on petty. This country is no longer the "gem" of the Caribbean anymore unfortunately, unless you mean the cubic zirconia. I will not be retiring there as I doubt very much I could stomach the cost or the excess.

Great article. It's useful to my Sarasota real estate market in many ways. I would love to live there!
