Bottom line - Trump will use derisive , nasty nicknames and will lie about, belittle and smear anyone who runs against him or has the gall to disagree with him on anything ,regardless how sophomoric. Its wearing pretty thin after 2 1/2 years He is a global embarrassment,

Jeb had way too much family baggage and he was too polite and too restrained to go for trumps jugular. With his families wealth and connections he could have dug up all of the trump dirt and buried him in it. Even though I didn't agree with many of Jeb's policies I respect him for being a gentleman. I love Joe Biden but the train has passed him by, much like it had Hillary Clinton. I agree with your assessment of Warren. Beto, Buttigieg and Booker add color and character to the race but none has enough bonafides, Kamala Harris and Klobuchar are Hillary Clinton clones, intelligent, hard working but afraid to stick their necks out, Jeb style timidity is a loser for any of these candidates. Gillibrand is too willing to throw a fellow Demcrat under the bus so I question her political instincts. Such behavior may be what works with the trump base but I think most Democrats are above that. My money is on Bernie. He led the march toward progressive policies, the rest are just wannabe followers. He is not afraid of Wall Street, big pharma or puffed up CEO's.

@Steve "none has enough bonafides": what is a "bonafides"?

@Fran Experience, credentials, accomplishments, it is a slang term.

The "Jeb!" moniker was used because no one wanted to hear his last name due to his horrific brother George. They avoided saying "Bush!" on all the posters in the same way that John McCain finally just had to come out and say it in 2008- "I'm NOT George Bush!"

@Tom Averred and any comparison to Hillary for any Democrat running is a certain political death.

@Tom. The Jeb! written with the exclamation point dated to Bush’s re-election campaign for Florida Governor in 2002. It was used as a graphic device to convey a sense of excitement. It had nothing to do with any desire to avoid use of the family name. His brother had high popularity and approval ratings at the time as did he so there was no need at all not to use the Bush name. Bush finished his second term in 2007 as a very popular governor and was seen as a future presidential possibility.
