In this photo you see many young children swimming in a river or a lake. All children wear a swimming cap and goggles. I think it is a kind of swimming lesson in open water for the children, so that they can experience what it is like if they accidentally enter the water in cold and deep water. You also see a man pointing in the picture to the finish, that is the man who helps the children when they no longer succeed. To stay safe, the children all have some kind of buoy on them, so that they stay afloat if they no longer manage to swim.
In this picture, we can see many kids swimming in the river. It looks like the weather is cold and cloudy. Probably it is a swimming school event and the kids have to swim in the river with a floater.
Most of the kids are angry because the river is cold.
There are many children swimming in a wide river, and I think it is in a Asian country. But I don't know why they bring white and yellow balloons, maybe they are holding some water activities.I can see all kids are trying hard to go to their destinations.
I think that there are loads of kids having a race with balloons tied to their back and they´re in teams yellow and white there are adult volunteers and a lady on a jet ski in case some goes of track or a balloon pops and they start sinking. I think they are swimming in a lake.
Savannah (8) from Santa Clara: I think these kids are in a swimming race. Their path is a squiggly line. The balloons help the kids stay afloat. There is a lady in the back on a jet ski who is a lifeguard. There are adult volunteers wearing red hats help the kids swim.
It looks like children are swimming during some sort of event. They have yellow and white balloons, and it looks like they are Asians, Maybe they are in Korea. Yellow means good luck and safety in
Korea, and white means purity and innocence, so maybe they wear yellow and white balloons on their backs to symbolize safety for COVID and purity. There are a lot of children and a few
instructors which I assume are telling the children where to go and to help them if anything happens.
I can see a lot of children are swimming in a big lake and some coaches are nearby the children. All children are packing some balloons on their back. The yellow and white color looks like so many eggs floating on the water.Maybe they are holding some race.I can see all the children are trying hard to swim with their all power. That was a funny sight that I have never seem.
Lots of children aged between five to ten are swimming in a large area of water like a river or a lake. They all have two balloons in white or red to help them floating. All of them are starting to swim for a short period of time. A coach is watching and helping them by their side and to protect them if something dangerous happen.
There are many children wearing swimming caps, swimming goggles, and swimsuits swimming in a wide river. All of them have two balloons on their backs, which are white and yellow respectfully. Maybe there are two teams having swimming race between white and yellow team in Asia. To make shore the children are safe and know where the destination is, there is a man in the river to help them.
There are a lot of children engaging in a swimming activity with their coaches. They look so young and are trying their best to swim across the lake. As for the yellow and white balloons they take with, I think that is a meaningful symbol of this activity. And the balloons can also let the children who get lost can be saved immediately by their conspicuous colors.
I can see many children who participant in this annual event. The children swim with yellow or white balloons in this swimming contest. And I think the children with yellow and white balloons are two teams competing. They might train a lot for this annual event. And they can show their real strength in this contest.
Students in the picture are having a big challenge. They gonna swim and cross the river. A teacher beside them is helping them and pointing the right direction, so that students may be safe. There are some white and yellow balloons on the river. And with everyone's swimming cap, the river looks colorful. Through the interesting training, students may have a good experience and be stronger.
I think this picture is about a river-crossing event held by a elementary school in china. A group of children swam with balloons, and the men, their coach, who wear a cap stands on the river indicates the direction for the children. Some children look extremely tired and breath strongly, but they never give up to keep going on.
In this picture, there are a lot of kids swimming in a lake. it seems like they are having a competition. And they are using balloons to floating themselves up. And they look so cute and the working hard to swim in the lake. I think this picture is taken in Sun Moon lake in Taiwan.
i think that it is a swimming competition only for kids in Asia country. there are two balloons on each kids' back. the colors of the balloons separate them to two teams. everyone works hard. they all want to win the first place.
I think that these kids are in a swimming contest for those who practiced well in there regular swimming training.
I think that it was a South Korean children swam with balloons during a river-crossing event at the Han River in Seoul. About 700 students took part in the annual swimming event to strengthen their spirits and bodies.
In this photo, we believe some kids are taking swimming lessons because there seems to be multiple teachers and balloons to help them float. We also think it may be a race since the students are in a line. Additionally, we think it is summertime because there are people in the water and we know that we only swim when it is hot outside.
This appears to be a swimming competition somewhere in Asia.
I believe some sort of holiday or special occasion is happening. There are many many kids and most of them are swimming. Rather than life jackets or anything, they have balloons which means something special. There is only one adult so maybe it is a swimming class.
I think the kids are learning how to swim by doing a race. I can see that they have floaties so they don't drown. It looks like they have a guide so they go the right way.
We think these children are training for a swim meet. We think this because they look like they have done this before with what they are wearing. They have swim caps and googles. We also think this is in China because of their nationality. We noticed they have what looks like balloons connected to them and we think this is so the adults can know where the kids are swimming because they are in the open water.
I believe that 2 different Korean teams (yellow and white) are having a swimming competition.
@Camden why do you think that?
it looks like a swimming race of some sort. It looks like its only kids. Why are the kids wearing balloons? Maybe the balloons are filled with water to whey them down.
We think its a learn to swim program for the village or a triathlon. A fundraiser for a type of cancer. A Guinness book of records attempt. There are adults in the water giving directions, maybe a swimming carnival.
We wonder which country the kids are swimming in and are they in a river, dam or ocean? Why are the kids swimming with balloons?
I see a bunch of kids with balloons tied to them as they swim. It looks like they’re a symbolized as the pollution in the ocean showing how far thrash and other items can float and damage the ecosystem.
I see a lot of kids they, appear to be Chinese or Japanese they are in a lake as it appears and swimming like, there are in a race of some kind and there is an instructor guiding them.
@Dylan We agree with your thinking!
Are they swimming in an event or are they swimming away from something? I wonder if they are swimming in a dam? I wonder if they are all safe and are scared? I don't think they look happy!
People are swimming. They have balls, why do they need balls? There is one guy in a cap, a T-shirt, most likely also in sneakers and jeans, he probably went to buy cigarettes and got lost, saw a place where a lot of people and decided to ask where the nearest gas station where you can buy cigarettes. At last, a kind man showed him where the gas station was, and he went to get some cigarettes.
I think that this is not in the US.
@Rachel wow. I think you're right. yea ight.
I think they are trying to make a picture or write something by those balloons so when you plan drones up higher you can see the picture or word that they trying to make. These primary school students are not learning how to swim because they are swimming in the river so this is more challenging than swimming in a pool.
I think that this is a group of Korean children swimming in the ocean training, this could also be a festival or event.
I think this is a big holiday in China, so the children make a shape on the water, it could be a number or a word to commemorate this festival.
I think in this picture the primary kids are swimming in a competition in the river and they try to make the shape like a worm.
I think these primary school students are being sponsored and are doing an event because they wearing balloons and they are swimming in a lake.
I think they are doing some fun races in the water. Because the kids wear balloons that look fun and different and they may be having teams. There are also three coaches to teach them how to do it well.
I think these kids are using balloons to help them float instead of life jackets. I think this because it looks like they are young kids who are just learning how to swim.
I think they are teaching survival swimming in the river. It looks like a place an Asia and as I can see the road at the top of the picture that means that's a river.
I think they're swimming in the water. I know this because I see floaters, googles, and water.
In this picture Chinese children are working together to send a message to a drone hovering over the lake. Of course, they are having the message in the summer.
These kids seem to be in a swimming lesson. The kid could also be in a race or a parade. You can see two men that seem to be leading the children. You can also see a jetski with a man on it. So this is probably a parade. There is also a big wall in the back.
I think that the kids are racing for the start of summer. I think that are split in to two groups yellow and white. I think the first team to get everbody across wins!!!!!
I think they are celebrating a celebration. During this celebration they are racing while they are racing they have their goods in the floating devices. That's what makes it challenging. That is my opinion.
I believe in this image that there are many young children and that they may be learning or competing in a lake or a small river. It looks as if the children in the image are Asian and may be in Asia, Japan, China or even the Philipines. It looks as if they are learning how to swim or doing a tradition that might take place where they live.
I think these kids are Asian and are in a swimming camp. I think these kids are labeled with balloons.
In this photo I think that there's some young children swimming with balloons so if they drift away they can easily be spotted. Also, maybe they are racing across some river in a swimming race.
I think that there is a swimming camp and the balloons are for safety meausures. To make sure the kids are alright and the life guards could know if anything happens to one of the kids. However, I think the team with the yellow balloons are competing against the kids with the white balloons in a race they are doing at the end of camp to show everything they learned.
I think that these young children are getting free swimming lessons with volunteers from America. I also think that the balloons are separating the kids in groups. I think that the person on the jet ski is mostly looking at the young children with white balloons because they are at a lower swimming ability but the older children have yellow balloons.
There are children maybe practicing to swim because I see kids with balloons to keep them above water. Also, I see what may be life guards.I see a guard on a jetski to see how the kids are doing. It looks like its summer because if it was cold they wouldn't have their shoulders showing.
i think its a race and people throw balloons out on the water then young kids dive into the water to get the balloons. I also think the adults in the water are guiding the kids to the finish line
In this picture I see kids swimming. I think the reason they have different color balloons on is to represent their skill level.
I believe this photo was taken in an Asian country such as China or Japan. I see older people in the background whom I believe are helpers to save or to encourage those younger kids.
This picture was probably taken on a lake. It would have to be a big pool to be a pool!
Hi! We think that this is in Asia, because most of the children look Asian. We think that it is not normal to use balloons in the water, so it must be a tradition (we read a comment and that inspired us to think this). We think that it is a team race and a swimming competition. The man is making sure that the kids are safe, because he is pointing to some place. We think the balloons are for knowing in the water who is from your team.
We think this is a swim race in Asia because kids are swimming with caps/goggles and they seem to be following a track. The balloons are flotation devices or team identifiers. We think it is a large body of water and the perimeter is a sea wall or The Great Wall. We think it may be the Yellow River. Some kids look confused. The adults are directing them where to go and are there for their safety. The jet ski is there for the race.
it looks like kids swimming with ballons
I see a bunch of kids swimming with some type of balloon or floatation device and theres an instructor in the back.
having a buble swim contest
The children are having a swim competition and the balloons are there to help mark them for the adults watching/directing them.
I think the children are racing and the balloons match their team because their is a long line of kids looping in the ocean. The man is probably directing them were to go.
Children are swimming in a river for a race.
They are all wearing balloons and assorted swimming attire.
There seems to be a swimming instructor in the water as well
it looks like a race or group activity of some sort. I would say this because all the kids are swimming together in a group with identical balloons.
In this photo I think some kind of competitive event between two teams. Their balloons are white and yellow so two different teams. There are adults along the course as well guiding them the right way.
I think that the kids are swimming for competition. they are in lake. It looks like in the afternoon.
@Antonio nice observation that they're having some type of competition.
A lot of children swimming wearing floaties. They could be learning how to swim. The kids are in the water and there are floaties on their back. There is also an older man directing them.
I think these kids are doing some sort of swim race or some kind of activity.
The kids look like they might either be in a swimming competition or a swimming class because there are adults instructing them and they all have balloons attached to their backs so that they don’t get lost or drown. The yellow and white balloons could symbolize teams? This could be an important tradition that the children of this culture take part in because they are swimming across an entire river which is a bit extreme.
These are Asian children swimming from invaders who are attacking their homeland. They are equipped with flotation balloons to keep them floating as they make the trek to safety.
They're learning to swim. They balloons and floats to keep their bodies above water and there's adults directing them.
I think that the children are being taught to swim
There is an adult standing in the water pointing and talking (his mouth is open) and others in the back of the picture who are wearing red hats and are guiding the kids. The kids are also wearing balloons and floats which would help increase visibility and keep them afloat. The kids are also in a very large group which would indicate that they are all being trained together
There is someone in the background extremely small, and appears to be on a jet ski. Could be just a random person not associated with the kids or training them to avoid being hit by water mobiles?
@Kat
I think so too. i think it could be a competition with the kids to, because they are learning to swim. but if you look at all the kids most of them are Asian so it could be for a tradition maybe.
@Kat i agree with you
I believe that it is a race or maybe a triathlon either way some type of sport taking place in swimming. The balloons are ment as location finders for the kids and to see where they are at all times and to protect them while they are out in the water. There are instructors in the water to help the kids as well. And the kids should put back on their goggles.
This looks to be a race or group activity of some sort. I say this because they are all swimming together in a formation with identical balloons.
It is not normal to have balloons with you while swimming so this is probably some sort of tradition. They are all young children and there is only a few adults so they could be helping them in a race. They all are going in the same path. The different colors of balloons could be teams. They look tired so they may just be learning to swim or the race was very long.
@Emily what do you think the balloons are used for?
i think it is some sorta of swimming competition, because the are very obviously swimming in water. People are guiding them to the finish line as well due to the guy pointing. maybe they are doing it for a cause due to the balloons.
@Taylor Moore good thought I didn't see it that way
i see a bunch of kids swimming in a organized race or competition. They all have yellow and white balloons and it seems to take place some place in Asia.
They also might be in a race, i’m guessing that because of the adults that are in the water near them, the adults seem to be leading them.
They are swimming with balloons and Floaties.
they seems to be doing a water race
Seems to me like the people in the water are partaking in some sort of ritual or practice because it's not just regular swimming, they have balloons with them.
It looks like their are kids who are competing in a swim race in a large body of water. There are two balloon white and yellow and i assume those are the 2 teams. There refs in the water guiding the kids. I also see orange like floaters that a kid in a blue cap is holding on to by learning to swim.
I think this picture is of a kids triathlon because they are all swimming in a body of water and not a pool. There are instructors who are guiding the kids. I think the balloons they are wearing are so they keep afloat better and also so the adults can see where they are at.
@Ashlynn I agree.
I think that children of asian descent are swimming in a type of course. There are some adults present with the children. The kids also seem to be wearing balloons, either white or yellow, which may represent something.
I think this picture is of kids learning how to swim . and the balloons on their back are keeping them afloat so they do not drown. The kids are wearing different colors of balloons which might have a symbolic meaning.
I think the kids are learning to swim since i see kids holding on to orange floater devices. The kids are also there are refs/adults that are guiding the kids to where the need to go. What i also see is that the kids are swimming in a large body of water and they must be in korea or maybe china.
In this image, there appears to be a group of older people leading younger children. This gives me the feeling that this is some form of a swim class involving people of all ages.
in this picture it looks like a bunch of kids somewhere in Asia are swimming. They might me learning to swim, i'm guessing that because of the balloons that they are with, the balloons might be holding them up. They also might be in a race, i’m guessing that because of the adults that are in the water near them, the adults seem to be leading them.
@Makenzie Pichette I would agree that this looks like a race. They also seem to be swimming in a formation which is interesting.
In this image there is multiple children in a body of water outside, each child has goggles and a swim cap equipped a swell as floaties with two balloons tied to them. Many adults can be seen in the water pointing kids in directions and guiding them. they could be teaching the children to swim or possibly being a race of some kind.
It appears to be a swimming class swimming in a man-made lake or canal with a instructor or coach in the middle wearing a hat. They all have balloons attached to them, probably to increase visibility and considering there are 2 colors of balloons they probably represent 2 different teams. There is a lifeguard in the background on a jet ski to keep them safe from drowning.
@Abby Greer I agree that the balloons could increase visibility of the children because it is odd that they have them. The different colors could represent teams.
I believe that it's some sort of race that is in a large body of water in Korea. I believe that it's a race because they have swim caps and are all swimming in the same direction. Also, they all have balloons which that could possibly mean they are on certain teams or just need something to float. I say this because there is only two different colors and they what looks like they’re going against each other.
It Looks like a bunch of kids serpentining to a finish line or something. They could just be racing against each other but there are a couple adults in the water leading them where to go. Or they are learning how to swim in a very weird way.
I think this picture is showing us a group of Asian student swimmers that are having a competition in who can get to the finish first, it seems like none of the, have any life gear so there are a few life guards in the water with them just in case if one of the students have trouble swimming along with the other kids.
I think that there are a bunch of children with a couple of adults and they are doing some sort of race across a big body of water and the yellow and white balloons are the teams but are also there encase one of the children drift off.
In this photo, it appears that these children are doing some sort of race. They are swimming with balloons and most with goggles on. There are adults in the water with them and I assume that they are referees for the race and there to make sure no one drowns as well as making sure they go in the correct direction. These children appear to be in the age range of first - third grade.
in my personal opinion it looks like a open water swimming compition and it looks like it took place in asia because the people look more towards asians
I think that a bunch of koreans or something are being taught how to swim in this photo.
@landon I have a strong feeling they wouldn't be taught how to swim in an open body of water, and I also have a feeling that not all of them are strictly Korean, I would say Asian as to not miss identify their cultures completely.
these children seem to be doing some sort of race in the water with supervisors around on a cloudy day. it looks to be a team race yellow vs white balloons. The kids are also wearing swim caps and goggles
I believe this could be some sort of junior swimming race. I don't think they are learning how to swim, because there are so few adults. If they were learning to swim, then there would be more people around just in case they went under the water. Their headgear makes it look like a race and the balloons and orange floating items are there to help them. The adults are guiding them and telling them where to go. It looks like it is somewhere in Asia based on the ethnicity and structures behind them.
It looks like a bunch of children are swimming in a large body of water with balloons attached to them. I think this because i see balloons and the area where they are swimming seems very large. There also appears to be a couple of adults with them so maybe it could be like a race of some sort.
It looks like they are doing a race, maybe for a fundraiser. they are all in a line going the same direction and they are children. i also see referees are in the water making sure that the kids are going in a specific direction.
@beth I like the fundraiser idea.
these children are learning how to swim, probably a charity cause or school activity, they are well looked after there are jet ski's and instructors in the water.
In the photo there are a group of kids swimming for some type of organization. They have balloons in order to keep track of all the kids. The adults are guiding them to the other end of the task.It is also cloudy which means it’s cold.
I believe little kids are learning how to swim in the water that are enclosed by balloons. The adults seems to be instructing the kids on what to do.
The little kids have swim caps and goggles on and some sort of flotation device possibly while instructors are pointing out where to swim and what to do.
The kids look to be Asian so the river could be located somewhere in Asia and the balloons seem to be helping the kids float.
Kids with balloons and swim gear in outdoor water. Notable that they are only white and yellow balloons. Some sort of race with floaties? This picture greatly confuses me.
This picture shows children wearing swim caps and goggles, using balloons as their floating devices. The all look to be taking some kind of swimming lessons or race in water not enclosed by a pool, but possibly in a river or lake. You can see adults or teachers, one in the back is on a jet ski, supervising. The people in this photo look to be taken in Asia or China due to what the people in the photo appear to look like.
There are multiple kids swimming and it looks like there are balloons attached to to them or just floating on the water. It also looks like there are a couple of adults giving directions or making sure no one drowns. This might be an Asian country because most of the kids look to be Asian. The kids could also be learning to swim.
It appears to be some kind of a public event in which children swim under supervision. The amount of children wearing similar items make points to the direction that this is a planned event. All o the children are using yellow and white flotation devices.
@Angelyko Lund I guessed something similar to your idea. i thought that it might be a race or maybe they are being taught to swim, if so that's a weird teaching method.
A group of children are swimming in a race for a charity cause. The are swimming in the ocean somewhere in Asia.
@ELA
I agree
@ELA
tru fax
@ELA What makes you believe that they are in an ocean an not a different body of water outdoors?
We see a group of children wearing goggles, bathing caps and flotation devices learning how to swim. We also think that the adult is telling them which direction to go in. They are swimming in a lake somewhere in Asia. We also see stairs in the background that lead up to a building.
@ELA i didn't notice the stairs in the background nice observation.
I think what is happening in this image is that it is a bunch of kids being taught to swim. The reason I think this is because of the adults in the water with them look to be instructing them. In addition I see each kid has some sort of flotation device beneath them that is tied to two balloons. There is also a person in the background on what looks like a water ski. This is also a very unfun looking swim because of how far they must have already swam. Based on the kids faces and the fact that the writing on their caps isn’t in English I would say this is somewhere in Asia.
@Ian i believe they are swimming like you said but i believe the person on the jet ski is there for a emergency
they are swimming with balloons to attract sharks
@Mason yes
these children seem to be doing some sort of race in the water with supervisors around on a cloudy day. it looks to be a team race yellow vs white balloons.
@Ryan That is very likely. It could possibly be for some school event of some sort.
@Ryan i like your idea that there are teams
This picture appears with children ( 10 or younger ) wearing swim caps and goggles, using balloons as their floating devices. The all look to be taking some kind of swimming lessons in water not enclosed by a pool, but possibly in a river or lake. You can see adults or teachers, one in the back is on a jet ski, supervising. The people in this photo look to be taken in Asia or China due to what the people in the photo appear to look like.
@Megan I agree that it looks like they are in a larger body of water instead of a pool.
What’s going on in this photograph is a bunch of kids learning how to swim with the adults watching them.
What I see that makes me say that is the kids swimming with balloons and there are adults with them too. They are there to probably keep them from drowning.
What more can I find about this photograph is where they are. If they are training, what are they training for. Why they are swimming and where they are swimming.
All the kids in the water seem to be young, and because they’re in a long line-thing, I think that they are in some sort of swim race. It also seems that they are in a race because the kids are wearing swim caps and goggles. The older man in the photo seems to be the coach/instructor and is telling the kids where to go. They all seem to have balloons or something so that they either don’t get lost or don’t drown or something like that.
@Trinity
good eyes way to find what you found
@Trinity i 100% agree with you.
It seems like some kind of swimming event where children had to swim across/around some water with balloons attached to them, there are some adults directing them around.
In this picture, there are people swimming in a lake with balloons . It seems like the people are in a race or competition because of the type of head wear the are wearing. You can see that the balloons are in a wavy line witch can be seen as an obstacle course.
• What is going on in this picture?
It looks like young boys and girls who look like they’re hispanic and there are middle aged men that are mixed in with them giving them swimming lessons. And it looks like they’re in a lesson of floating and breathing. It’s also a really long line.
• What do you see that makes you say that?
There are balloons on every child so that might help make them float, they’re tan skinned, and they’re wearing goggles and swim caps and there are men around them so they’re being given swim lessons of some sort.
• What more can you find?
It looks like there is some type of wall in the background and maybe stairs? One of the men are pointing at something for the kids to maybe see. There’s also this orange circular thing above the water in between some of the children. I don’t know what it is but it’s floating.
in this picture, there is children taking swim lessons with flotation devices with instructors in the water with them looks like somewhere in Asia
It looks to me like it is a group of kids learning how to swim and using balloons as a way to learn. I think this because there is an older man in the middle of the picture and he must be their teacher or instructor.it also looks like they are swimming in a dam because of the walls in the back.
Someone named Addiel said that they are swimming to their homes but i don't think so because why would there be so many of them and why would there be a person on a jet ski in the back just watching and not helping.
in this picture there are younger kids who are swimming in the lake they do not have life jackets on so they look like they know how to swim and there is a teacher who is saying where to go it looks like it is in a lake
In this picture there is a bunch of children who don't seem to be over the age of 10, all wearing goggles, swim caps, swim wear, and balloons. There is also multiple older men mixed in with the kids and they look to be supervising the children who are swimming. Because of the amount of kids there and the formation that they are in it makes me believe that this is a swim race. This takes place somewhere in Asia and is most likely early morning.
@Brooklyn Buchanan I honestly think its a race because like you said there are adults with them like they are supervising them
The kids in China are swimming above the water in a lake to their home. They are wearing goggles and balloons.
@Addiel
Do you think there is a task they are supposed to try to accomplish? Why do you think some of them have the orange floating devices and others don't?
A large group of children in India are being given swimming lessons, and are using the yellow and white spheres as flotation devices.
@Joseph That is very good thinking. I thought that too when I was looking at the picture. But I think the 'yellow and white spheres' are balloons.
@Joseph
I didn't think of it like that, good observation.
@Joseph I think these kids are from South Korea, they do not look Indian.
This looks like children in Japan learning to swim. I can tell this because the ethnicity of all of the children points to somewhere in Asia. I can tell they are in Japan because of their very strict wellness program, and the children are attached to balloons of the same color, which points to a school or government program.
Our sixth period class had these inferences to make about the picture.
We think that they are in a race because of what they are wearing and because they are in a long line. It might also be a young children's race because they are all young. The older man looks like a coach because they usually yell at their athletes to motivate them. The swim caps and goggles are things that are normally worn in competitions and not just while swimming because they help to make you faster.
We also think they might be taking swim lessons in a river or dam because of the walls in the background which rivers and dams sometimes have. The older man looks like a coach or instructor who is telling them where to go.
Our third period class thinks that it was a race and the different color of balloons represent two different teams.
@Courtney good observation, i did not think of the balloons being teams.
My class of third graders was fascinated with the possible floatation devices.
My class inferred that they were students of approximate age with swimming coaches in the water with them. They think they are attempting to create a design in the water and the coaches are directing them which way to go.
We think there may be a drone in the sky taking a picture?
They are also probably doing the breath stroke or treading water since their heads are out of the water.
We think this is taking place somewhere in Asia in a lake or canal and the water is over the students' heads.
@Anna I agree with your observations
Our fifth period class had these inferences to make about the picture.
They are swimming in a lake because of the water and the wall that can be seen in the background.
They are trying to make an image with the balloons because they are lined up in a certain formation and they are not swimming together but instead one after the other in a line.
We think it is a hot summer day because they are swimming and that is usually a summer activity.
This is some sort of race or competition because they have goggles and swim caps and swim caps are worn to help you go faster in the water. They also have different colored balloons which means that there might be two different teams in the race: yellow and white.
They are learning how to swim because they are all children and you normally learn how to swim as a child.
The little kids are learning how to swim for there Asian holiday coming up. The balloons are to hold them up.The goggles are to keep water out of there eyes
In this picture, all the little kids are swimming. They're swimming because they want to get skinny. They have balloons so they don't drown.
@Lila, Kinda seem like they are swimming towards somewhere, with the balloons to keep there head above water.
I think the children in the picture are practicing swimming across the river to practice being a refugee. I think they are practicing this just in case of an emergency. Its sad that children have to practice this because escaping your country is very scary.
This picture shows little kids having a race. The reason they have balloons tied to them is so they stay afloat. Also, they have to make sure their balloons are still connected to them at the end.
@Jessica Awesome observations! I agree.
Our class has a few different ideas as to what is going on in this picture. First, we almost all agree that the balloons or balls are some sort of floatation device for the kids. Some of the students think that it may be a water parade. Some think it may be a child's swim class or even a marathon. Another idea that we thought is that it could be a swim party.
I think these kids are taking swimming lessons. I think this because they really don't seem rushed to get to the finish line, so I dont think its a race. I also think that they are divided by how well they can swim, I think this because the group in the back might be better or worse than the group up front because they are seperated but look like they are doing the same thing. I think the balloons are to keep track of the kids and make sure none of them drown, or get lost.
The kids are practicing to learn how to swim. The kids have balloons on their back to keep them floating. One day the kids will swim across the Pacific Ocean to get to America. They are starting at a young age, so they'll be strong enough to do it one day.
I think this is a swimming class. The yellow and white balloons are tied to the children to make sure that they don't drown. There are older people telling the children where to go. The adults are also watching over the children so that the children won't get lost or drown.
I think that these kids are taking swimming lessons. But oh wait plot twist, none of them know how to swim so the teachers count how far they have been swimming, and the more they swim the more support of balloons they have.
@victoria thats a great explanation!
These Asians look like they're having a race with their swimming class. The children's teachers seem to be scattered all around directing them around so they dont get lost. Also so the children don't drown and die.
In this picture, I see a bunch of little kids swimming. My first thought was that they were learning to swim. I could tell because of the things on their back. I'm inferring that the balloons keep them from drowning. I also could tell because the older people in different spots of the lake.
@charlotte good job
I think that these little kids are swimming for a Relay for Life swimming contest. The kiddos are swimming with balloons on their backs so people can see them swimming for a cause. The cause that they are swimming for is bone cancer (Sarcoma).
@Ella
I had no idea they could have been swimming for a cause. Did you find something on their swim caps or did the colors stand out to you? Is it that they're swimming with balloons?
There are a bunch of kids swimming. They all have balloons tied to them so the adults know where they are. They also are wearing floaty things on their arms. There's a guy in the water pointing and the kids seem to be going that way. I think that they are either having a race or are learning to swim.
I think in this picture they are having a swimming contest for little kids. They have balloons on their back to help them stay above water incase they get tired. They may also be trying to teach kids to swim while having this race.
There learning how to swim because they cant drive
Children are using balloons as floatees. They are learning how to swim. The children are swimming in a big lake. That is what is happening in that picture. Swimming in a race the children are.
These people are swimming for a race probably. The only thing I don't understand is why do they have balloons on their backs? They probably won their game and went swimming again with their friends.
There are people swimming in a race.
Boys and girls learning to swim because of their culture.
After they won the Olympics they went for a swim to celebrate.
Kids are swimming for exercise to benefit for some kind of cancer.
Training for a swimming race.
I think that this is a swimming lesson. I think this because it's a bunch of kids swimming. They have balloons tied to them to prevent them from drowning and to show where they are. The coach is showing them their path.
This is a weight loss summer camp so they are doing exercises with balloons. They have these balloons so they don't sink while exercising. They have a special vitamin in the water so its easier for them.
I think that this is a gay rights rally. the balloons light up rainbow colors when the lights turn off. The swimming represents the struggle of the gay-haters. they swim through the night so that the balloons will light up for all the haters to see. This is a true act of courage.
This is a race with teams of two. The first team to get to the finish line wins like a ton of money. This race is taking place in a foreign country. All the kids are having fun.
It looks like the Chinese/Japanese (I don't know where they're from) kids are in some kind of swimming competition with these unusual balloons. It looks like the grown-ups are trying to show them where to go to get to the finish line.
Some kids are trying to learn how to swim. They have balloons attached to them, most likely so the instructor can watch them. They also could probably help them to not drown. The instructor is pointing at something, probably where they are headed.
These Asian kids are made by their parents to go to swimming lessons. So here the kids are put through one of the last classes in their swimming class. The kids have been put in a test/quiz sort of thing to see who is the best/fastest student in their class. They have white and yellow balloons in case something happens the kids won't drown.
The kids in Japan are practicing swimming in the lake. The balloons help me to see in the dark water.
A group of kids from Japan are taking swim lessons. They are tied to balloons so no one gets lost. The man standing in the middle is their coach.
Kids in Japan are connected with a rope and are learning to swim by instructors.
Ms. Bell's 2nd period thinks this is a swim lesson or a race between kids of Asian descent. We think this because of the two different colored balloons or bobbers that they are using. We also see an adult pointing to where they are going and they are all swimming in a path.
In this picture, kids are getting taught how to swim. The balloons on them are there so the instructors can see them, and so they can't drown. The orange things help them swim. It's a competition to see who can swim the best.
They are taking the swimming test. The things on there backs are life jackets. That's is why the grown- ups are in the picture . They are also testing for a camp at a lake maybe:)
They seem to be learning how to swim because they have a clear line they must follow and the people on the jet skies are there to help them if they start to sink. Based on the amount of kids it seems this is a public event. The "shower caps" they are wearing are Japanese so I assume there in either Japan or Korea. The balloons provide high visibility as they are bright colors so that will help the adults keep track of the kids if they float away.
There is a big swimming race. Whoever reaches the finish line wins 1 millions dollars and a vacation! People are tired and wanna quite, but they are in it to win the prize.
I think that the kids are learning how to swim because they will have competitions in the summer to see who is the fastest. The kids have balloons to help them stay up just in case they can't hold themselves up anymore. This is an event where they have a little race like a cross country race, and its a long race so they have to have them, so they don't drown. it looks like there are adults to help them out so they won't be confused.
I think this is a experiment testing some new floating devices. It's also a race as well, This is a battle of two schools yellow and blue. There are adults there to direct the kids and make sure none of them get hurt. This also is a test to which school is better.
In this picture, they are having a children swimathon. There probably doing it to punish there kids because they have failed to do there homework. They all have floaties, so i'm guessing they don't know ow to swim.
I think it's a swimming class for children. The balloons might be there to help them stay afloat. The guy pointing is pointing to where they are swimming to. I think the man on the jet ski is there to make sure the children are safe and don't drown.
I think that this photo shows a practice for the Olympics. Also the balloons could be there so that they don't drown because they may be newbies or defaults. Als, I they are training because I see adults or coaches, in the water.
I think these children are learning to swim. The balloons are probably used to make sure that the teachers can see them if they float away or get lost. I think the balloons are a really good idea. Most of them look pretty happy but others do not look like they are having fun.
In this photo, the kids are practicing swimming in a lake, because there is a person on a jet ski and two adults in the water with kids, and there are no spectators you can see. Some of the kids are holding small orange barbell like the boy in the back with a blue cap. Others have two weight balls on their back. The weights they have are probably there to slow down their swimming so they can get stronger for a race.
I think that this is a school for swimming for little kids. They have the balloons so that the teachers could see if one of them goes down under water. The person on the jet ski is a person to make sure none of the kids drown.
It is all a giant game of tag and the kid in front with the yellow cap is going in right now because if you look close his face shows a face of pain and drive. He will never stop he is my champion; he is our champion; You will bow down to him.
I see children swimming a very long way from shore. These kids may be racing, or they may be learning how to swim. The children are swimming in a certain pattern. We can see that there are instructors there to help the children get to where they're going. But it seems to me, that the kids are racing because of the swim caps. They could also be training for a worldwide event going on in either Asia or somewhere else.
This appears to be some Chinese ritual that happens to kids at a certain age where they must swim across this lake. The man swimming is directing them on how to get across. In the background, there is someone on a jet ski who is staying with the stragglers, There is another man swimming in the back as well staying with them, but he seems to be more in the open and is just there to keep them in the right direction. Also, the boys seem to all have yellow balloons while the girls have white balloons.
I see a lot of children with balloons attached to them while swimming in a large area of water. I also see older people who may be guiding the little kids. The different colored balloons may suggest two teams. This might be an event where people get to race against each other.
They are having a triathlon and have balloons so people can see them and so they will not be run over by a boat.
I think that it was a swimming competition, like a race. I think this because they are all in the same age group, and they are following the same path as each other. I think this is a race for inexperienced swimmers as well because they have balloons on their back to help them stay afloat.
The Asian children are learning to be swimmers, And they're having their first race. There coach is yelling at them to go. The kids have balloons tied to them so they don't sink because there in a river or lake.
I think that the balloons are to help the children swim. Most kids cannot swim. Swimming is a hard thing to learn and maybe these kids want to know how. So their swimming instructor put balloons on them so the don't drown.
I believe this is some sort of celebration or holiday related to a past event. Something must have happened in the local area prior to this "race" which caused the people to commemorate it with a yearly "balloon-swim."
Another theory of mine is that this is supposed to help the children learn how to swim. The balloons are there to keep them afloat if they are unable to make it all the way.
The only thing that still confuses me about this is who gets yellow balloons and who gets white balloons. Maybe it's a gender thing? Or maybe I'm just reading too far into it...? Probably. Any ideas, folks?
Chinese kids are learning how to swim and the balloons are helping them float.
I think that the kids that are swimming are in a race to see who is the fastest swimmer. I think that the balloons are there to help stay above the water, so they don't drown. The man seems to be telling them which direction to go in by pointing. The other thing I saw was that their balloons are yellow and white, so I think that yellow is one team and white is the other team.
These Asian kids might be in a competition. I see a LOT of children in a lake or something like that with balloons tied with them or they might be holding onto the strings under water.
In my opinion, I see children swimming in a river or lake. They could be at a Chinese traditional summer camp that kids compete to win prizes. The balloons help them float, and the man is making sure all the kids are okay and don't drown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see people swimming and I think that because I see Kids swimming in a river. Or it's a swim meet and it's a race. Or a swim practice for an upcoming swim meet. And I see a man yelling at them to move. The yellow and white might help them stay up when they get tired.
We think that the children might be:
- in a swim race of some sort
- or learning how to swim and the balloons help them to float
- or maybe they have to swim to a certain spot
- or maybe they are taking swimming lessons
-
My second grade class thinks the following things about this week's picture:
Most students believe that the man pointing is an instructor and that the children in the water are boys and girls about 9-10 years old wearing swim caps to protect their hair from getting sand in it.
More than half the class thinks that the children are having swim lessons.
A few children think that the children are traveling by water to a new place.
One child thought that the children were doing a charity fundraiser to raise money and that the colored balloons helped the families to track where their child was in the fundraiser race.
Some children believe that the water is not very deep because of one of the adults shoulders being visible. They think that some of the children are walking and some are swimming.
The class was unsure of the location of the swimming with some thinking that it was a lake, an ocean, a swimming hole, or a river. They noticed what they think are people or animals at the zoo near the bank of the water. They thought that they saw cages with animals but some thought that they saw buildings. We tried zooming in but these were the best guesses. We can't wait to see what the picture's caption tells us about the true story of this picture.
In this picture, I see a bunch of little Asian kids doing a water race for a charity. I also see an adult, but he looks like he's just helping them out by telling them the right way to go. They have different colored balloons because there are different teams yellow and white.
Our class has a few different ideas as to what is going on in this picture. 1) This could be a children's race and the men in the red hats are directing them. 2) This could be a children's swim class and that's why they have the floaties. 3) The children could be testing a new floatation product. 4) This could be some sort of swim party or swim parade.
A shark is going after the group of little kids, and the man is helping them swim faster. But then the shark eats half the children and the only thing left of them is their floaties. The jetski man then drives around to scare away the shark while secretly crying.
The children are learning how to swim. They use the balloons to help them stay up in the water to breath without going under. They are racing across the river to the other side to win a trophy. The man in the black shirt is directing them to the trophy and helping anyone who needs help.
This picture looks like a group of Asians that are learning how to swim in a body of water. Also, while they are learning how to swim, they are looking for something interesting in the aqua water. The yellow and white balloons are attached to them to indicate them from what age and gender. The Asians are in a special wavy line due to look cool.
These people seem to be kids who might be in a conpetittion. It could be a team of kids because there are some people who have yellow balloons and there are people who only have white balloons. They could be in a kid friendly marathon because there seems to be an adult in the back telling them where to go and helping them if they start to drown. They could be taking swimming lessons in case of an emergency. They could be using those balloons for support and are keeping them floating while they are learning to swim. They could be doing this to show support for a cancer foundation or another group of adults and kids that could be swimming for that foundation and encouraging people to donate to these groups.
I think that everyone may be doing something to raise money, or this can be some kind of race. They might have balloons with them because it shows the different teams. This may also be a tradition that Asians have where they all go swimming or they are learning to swim.
in this Picture the children is in one competition in two team one team is the color yellow in the other team is White is my observation
In the image we can see many Asian children between 7 and 10 years old, practicing swimming. Maybe they are preparing for a professional team, all are prepare with safety equipment.
Maybe the kids are from different teams, all of them have balloons of different colors.
This picture its some training of swimming because there is coach and a lot of children. Those kids look like Japanese so they planing to join to Tokyo Olympic in 2020.
This picture shows little kids that are learning to swim in the ocean to be prepared to participate in the olympic games. Since and early age they will be ready to participate in something big and they are being guided by coaches.
1
I think they are taking swim lessons in the ocean while on vacation. I know this because I see the girls and boys swimming and using floaties.
I can see they training because they're in just one line or maybe they are competing cause they're wearing balloons of different colors.
I’m this picture, I see children in the sea doing Competition. It’s seems to me they are two groups white and yellow balloons. They got more then one trainer because the children are big responsible. They look like Japanese kids.
I think that the kids are learning how to swim because they are using balloons and it looks that they are trying to swim.
I think that kids are learning how to swim with the balloons
because it looks like the kids are swim in the ocean.
I think that they are training and exercising since a very little age to go swim in big places, because they are practicing in a large area.
I can saw is a hard training, and a lot of child’s tray to go to somewhere that’s are indefinite I can saw also like 2 or 3 young people supervise the actions and the child maybe arte the staff
I think the children are doing a show in the river
In this picture I see like a preparation as littles to become olimpic athletes, the children are under 10 years-old, they are like Asian children.
what is going on in this picture?I think they are learning how to swim with the balloons.
what do you see that makes you say that?I say that because it looks like some of them are struggling to swim and the balloons are helping them float in the water.
what more can you find?Something that i could find more is that there are adults in the background making sue that they are OK.
I think these kids are trying to lean how to swim while balloons are helping them float.
What i see that makes them float and swim with balloons because they are probably just beginners.
What more i can find is that it looks like a contest between kids learning how to swim and having a race.
I think that these kids are learning how to swim from the help of adults or coaches. My evidence is that the kids are using balloons to float and there are adults guiding them.Something else i noticed is that the color of the balloons are two different types of colors and they might be in different teams.
I think these kids are leaning how to swim and the balloons are helping them float.
The reason I think that they can't swim is because they swam though the whole lake with balloons so I think that the balloons are keeping them from sinking and so they can lean how to swim longer than other people can.
There are adults that are helping them guiding them in a certain direction
I think their learning how to swim because the balloons are helping them balance and their is instructors to lead them where to go.
There in a lake and I think there training the kids to get the better at swimming. And there using the balloons to balance the self. And the man in the jet ski are watching the kids to make sure there safe, and the lake is not that deep.
I infer that the kids aren't swimming in a an actual race but a swimming scrimmage. I think this because, there are different colour balloons on each child (white or yellow) to maybe indicate a team (ex. girls or boys). I'm guessing the children are using these ballons as a way to help each other.
I think that the kids are learning how to swim and the balloons are helping them stay afloat .
I think the balloons are helping them float because in movies a lt of balloons make people float away .
I can see adults and that makes me think that the adults are making sure the kids dont drown if the balloons pop.
What I think is going on is that their is a race going on , and theirs separate teams.
What i see to make me think this is the balloons.
Something else is the way their swimming.
Another thing that helps me is theirs a person helping them.
I think their learning how to swim because the balloons are holding them up and they can be practicing for a flood drill or something.
I think that are try to swim. That they all got to day to for kid . that make sure that kid
I think that the kids are having a race and their balloons are two different colored teams. I see that there are different colored balloons. I see a adult tell where the kids to go.
I think they are using the balloons to help them stay above water or they won't drown. The balloons are probably yellow and white because they are bright colors and people can see where they are at.
Adults in the background.
They are learning to swim.
They have ballons to help them float.
They might be doing something for charity or race
1.kids are swimming to learn how to swim better
2. Because its a whole group of kids swimming and their using the balloons to make sure the kids don´t sink
3.if you want find more things just look at the background
they use the ballons to float and the color
they use the ballons to help them float and swim
they might be having a race
they're learning to swim
there are in the water
they have balloons in behind them
I assume these kids are learning how to swim. The balloons allow them to float. We can distinguish that it is not a deep lake or river because adults can touch the ground.
I think that the kids are having a swimming competition. The balloon is to make sure the referee can watch them and make sure they are safe.
From this picture, I can see some children learning to swim in the lake. They are arranged in order in the water. The balloons maybe help them keep balance.
I think maybe this picture represents a tradition in Asia or practice race to train these children to be a better swimmer. I say it is a tradition because nobody will cross the lake for no reason and why is it at that position.
The children seem swimming in a artificial lake and protected by certain swimming tool. There have a coach among them and guide them. Looks like in the summer time, maybe it's a competition or training.
I think this is a summer camp which make these kids to exercise more instead of staying at home a whole summer. The soldier in the picture is their coach who protect and guide them as well. Furthermore, I think this is a river but not a lake.
Maybe there was a swimming marathon only for kids. There are some coaches who took responsibility for the kids' safety. Also the balloons were the mark for safety.
Maybe the coaches were organizing the children to make up some symbols.
Obviously they are learning to swim in a lake, perhaps an ocean. One interesting thing is that they use 2 balloons instead of a regular life ring, because swim in an ocean or a lake cannot be very safe. I wonder if this is a new way to teach swimming.
I think this is one part of learning swim by swim in the real river. Two colors of balloons can remind coach to swimming ability of each children. And in the back, someone drive jet ski stand by for some emergency case happened.
I think they are from Asia, this is some kind of summer camp and adults were training the kids to swim in the river. Balloon is for the adults to locate the kids.
From my perspective, it is maybe an advertisement. I think there is a swimming course. All of the kids are the students of the course. Their teacher swim with them to cross the river so that they can let more people know the swimming course. They are spreading themselves.
Maybe here has an event, children tie balloons on their bodies and make a pattern in the lake to celebrate it.
I think that this is a tradition. Children has to cross the lake at a certain age. They children are guided by adults zig zaging. There could be a reason for that.
I think it is a race in a lake, who has the most balloons left. However it could also be an Asian tradition, if you cross the lake then .........
You say it's a race but if it were a race why are there adults going by to hold them up
I think that in this picture the kids are learning how to swim and the balloons are so that maybe the kids don't wander off and if they do the color of the balloons will help find them the reason why i say they are learning how to swim is because they have life jackets on and are in a row and the man with the jetski is watching and being the guard just in case he has to get in or save one of the children.
We think that this photo shows a practice for the Olympics. Also the balloons could be there so that they don't drowned because they may be newbies. We also think they are training because we see adults,or coaches, in the water.
I think that the students are learning to swim becaue the balloons they carry and the instructing seemingly pointing the min the right direction
We think that the kids are having a swimming lesson in the lake because the county might not be able to afford a pool that is big enough. Or they need more space to swim.
1
we think they are having swimming lessons in a big lake.
1
we think its a swimming lesson because the man in the black shirt in the water looks like he coaching them and the kids has on swimming gears on
1
They have people with balloons swimming, looking like they are having a marathon swim race. I see one jet ski in the back. Also there is a man telling the children what way to go.
1
We think it might be a water parade or kids learning how to swim
1
we think they are learning how to swim because there is a adult and there are balloons to help them stay in line and so they don't drown
They are learning how to swim in the ocean.
Maddie and nery think that they are in a deep river and they have balloons so if they dround the balloons float them up
In the picture i see young Asian kids learning how to forcefully learn to swim. They have balloons on their backs so they can stay afloat. They also have a instructor telling them where to go
I see in this picture a group of kids from school practising swimming in a big dam along a river. The purpose of the practice is an emergency drill. I think it is a river with a dam because I see the movement or the flow of water plus the wall seen clearly in one side of the river.
The kids are practising emergency drill to avoid any catastrophe in a natural or man made disaster. There are also five adult instructors who are also lifesavers in the water body together with the kids. One of the life saver is riding a jet ski that can be used for emergency in case something wrong happens.
All kids are wearing goggles, swimming hat and the balloons in their back. The instructors uses these coloured balloons to separate the kids in a team for the training purpose. Moreover the balloons keep the kids float in the water. The drill is arranged in crossing the river along a specific path shown in the picture, I see a round orange colour floating item or buoys along the river in a zigzag line and each buoys are attached with a string under water along the line. It is summer time with a clear sky, the bright light and the green plants or grass along the wall of the dam or river.
The kids are ethnically from Far East Asians as it is obvious in their facial appearances.
To conclude the drill is arranged by the a school in one of the Asian country which is mostly affected by a natural disaster like flooding and tsunami.
This picture is wrong because they are taking swimming lessons in a lake or maybe they are crossing the border.
I believe that these people are just having a fun time swimming. The little kids are probably learning how to swim for the first time.
There are multiple Asian children swimming in a lake. There are only a few visible adults and they seem to be guiding the children. There are most likely learning how to swim since they have balloons attached to them to prevent them from drowning. They also provide the adults a way to keep an eye on them. The children as swimming across and they have swim gear to assist them.
I think that the kids are having a swimmathon
We think that these are kids having a swimming race and they have the balloons behind them so that they can spot them if they get lost.
I think they are learning how to swim
In the picture, several Asian kids are swimming to shore for. I suggest that they need to be rescued because there is an adult directing them somewhere specific, and there are bright colored baloons probably so they can be seen. The kids are not separated by gender; I see girls and boys.
-In this image there is a group of children swimming in a large body of water (river?). I think they are learning to swim against natural currents. There are at least 6 instructors spread out along the trail of children, one of the instructors is on a jet ski. All of the children have 2 balloons attached to them to help them stay afloat and help the instructors keep track of them.
-I believe the children are learning to swim in currents because the trail in which they are swimming in zigzags back and forth. I think this also explains why they are swimming in a natural body of water rather than a pool. I think the balloons are a safety tool since they are attached to the children's backs to help minimize the strain of swimming to stay afloat so that they can focus on swimming against a current. Also, the balloons being bright white and yellow in color help the instructors keep track of the children.
-In the background is a sloped wall with steps, possibly leading up to a park. I notice that some of the kids are holding a bar with orange pads on either end, possibly to also help them stay afloat.
I concur with a lot of the comments by concluding that the children depicted in the picture are learning how to swim, the balloons are being used to keep them afloat and you can see an in-water instructor as well as an above-water instructor on a jet ski.
In this picture, I believe that children are learning to swim long distances. It seems that there are instructors directing the children and they have balloons to either stay afloat or to identify them at a distant. All of the children appear to be younger than 10 and by what is shown, they are Asian. Most of them are wearing glasses and water caps so I'm going to assume that this is a pretty big program that teaches young children to swim and develop endurance.
I believe this was something that was planned, they have adults in the water with the little kids. They're most likely learning how to swim, or having some type of race.
The children are in the water learning how to swim. They were given balloons instead of safety jackets.
In this image it appears that young kids are in a swimming competition or they are learning to swim. I say this because there are many young kids swimming. There is also adults near by and floaties. It looks like they are somewhat trained but maybe they are still learning.
I believe that the children in this picture are attending a swimming lesson. I think that the white and yellow balloons are there to keep them afloat.
I think they're taking swimming lessons. Maybe the balloons are a way to help them in case they don't get it off the bat. Or in case they get lost.
I think that they are participating in a swimming competition and the balloons are so that if a kid gets separated they can quickly and easily be found.
I think it is a swimming event to teach the little kids how to swim. The balloons in the picture could be to guide the kids across the river/lake. Also, there is an adult on a jet ski to make sure that everyone is okay and together.
I think it's some sort of swimming lesson and the globes help keep the children up, kind of like floaties. Plus, there are adults telling the kids where to go and supervising them.
I think that they are on a swimming lesson on the lake, and maybe the globes are something significant for what are they doing.
What I see in this picture is a group of children who are learning to swim and the balloons they have on their backs could be used so that they can float, as a help, also in case one of the children is lost or has some problem so it will be easier for the instructor to find it.
in this picture i see a group at asian student between the ages 5 to 12 that they are practicing swimming in a lake for one side to another, the balloons could possibly be used to help the children stay afloat, an i think that the lake in not to deep because one at the instructors are kind of standing up in the middle at the lake.
It seems that some kids are having a swimming lesson, they probably are in a swimming camp because there are so many of them, and also is an adult in the middle that might be the instructor. The ballots the kids have tied might help them to keep afloat.
They look like a group of Chinese that they trying to learn how to swim with balloons to float in the middle of the lake. They are also with a teacher pointing them where they need to go in the lake.
"The Chinese kids learning to swim"
In this photo I saw many children swimming in the river. I guess the white and yellow balls are for them to float and most are from Japan or China
It look like the kids in this picture are from oriental desendation, they might be learning to swim, they have some balloons attached to their backs. The ballots might be to help them to be safe. Also there's a couch checking for them. They are swimming In some kind of river or lake, and they are away of the coast.

They are taking lessons to swim well and the balloons are like floats so they do not drown and they are different colors because they are two teams to see which ones are better.
1-People are swimming in a river, maybe trying to learn how to swim because of the balloons they hold.
2- The people with googles and the balloons in their back.
3-They're some stairs on the background of the photo
In this picture I can see that there are Asian children from 5 to 10 years old women and men, they have white and yellow balloons, I think it is to identify the children easily and to float, you can see that they are in a lake and that the instructor he wants the children to go to the place that is pointing him, the children are like following a path.
I think there are working on swimming in the ocean or something like that
@Ricardo i agree because it could be a life or death situation, and you might have to jump in a ocean which means you will have to learn how to swim to prevent the bad situation.
In this picture, Chinese children are swimming into a large lake as following a pattern. They look like seven years old and all of them have balloons white or yellow, a adult wearing black is pointing them where to go and he looks as their coach. Its maybe some attletic hike.
I think that in this picture there are Asian students from a school and they are swimming with the purpose of promoting something (that's why they have yellow and white globes attached on their floats).
I think they are teaching the little children to swim because they are also lord.
In this picture I saw a lot of children swimming in the river. The white and yellow balls are on the back of some children. Mostly they are in Japan or china and there are guidelines with them.
I see a group of children swimming to a specific point with 2 gallons or balls on their backs.
They seem to be from Asian descent in approximately a age of 7 years old.
In this picture, I see a group of children that are swimming in a lake. They all appear to have two balloons attached on their backs. This could mean that the balloons are actually attached on their lifejackets. The balloons could possibly be used to help the children stay afloat, however, it could also be attached so that the instructors can see all of the children. The balloons are very noticeable colors so this would allow the instructors to easily identify the children. The instructors do not appear to be wearing any lifejackets or balloons which means that they are capable of swimming independently, without the aid of anyone else. The kids all have focused looks on their faces and they are staring at one thing specific. In addition, there is an instructor that is pointing to something specific, which all leads me to assume that the children are learning how to swim long distances. The instructor must be pointing to the spot they are supposed to swim to. They all look like they are of Korean or Japanese descent possibly.

In this picture, I see a groups of children leaning to swim ; It looks like there Japanese or chinese . I know there are Japanese or Chinese because this place look like a camp of Japan or china There a few adults that are training them to cost to the right of the spot . I also think there on team of swimming championship through the big waves to be allowed to swim in the pool ,because there making like a line and they have with them yellow and withe balloons which it's shows that.

I saw a lot of children swimming in the river. The white and yellow balls are on the back of some children. For me, it seems like it is the ball that helps children float on the water and keep them safe. And the teacher is teaching kids how to swim.

It seems to me, as group of kids are doing a small show in the river. Mostly they are in Japan or China and there are guidelines with them. I said it is a group of kids are doing al little show because they are making like a line and they have with them balloons yellow and white which it's shows that and also there are guidelines with them to help them.

It appears as though some kids are having a swimming lesson, possibly at a summer camp, because there are so many of them and there are some cabin-like buildings in the distance. An adult in the middle, pointing, appears to be an instructor. It looks like the children have balloons tied to their backs to help keep them afloat. It appears to be in a dammed-off river

Thank you for your comments this morning, all! Today, I heard evidence that people were really embracing the ambiguity of this image - in other words, even when you weren’t sure what was going on, you offered several ways to interpret or understand this picture.
I’m signing off for now, but check back on Thursday afternoon for more information about the image. When you do, keep looking at the image, and ask yourself, “what more can I find?”. Does the extra information support what you thought? Does it challenge your hypothesis?
For now, keep looking and commenting! What more can we find?
It looks as maybe there are some kids swimming for practice or a competition, because they all have a hat of some sort. They have different colors so they may be racing. There is also a man which is looking like he is directing the kids or making sure they don't drown
I thank that in this picture the group of kids are learning to swim or at a camp in Japan or China. There is a few adults that are guiding the kids to the right spot. The balloons are probably a flotation device hooked to the children so that they would drown.
There is a team swimming race, there is a white and yellow team. There is a group of what to looks to be younger kids in water swimming with different color variations tied to them to make them stand out or specify there team. I see that there is a grown up in the mix with them im guessing to make sure none of them drown.
In this photo I think that this is a race. I think this is taking place in China or Japan from the way they look. I think that this is a race because of what they have on the cap and the goggles. These kids have these balloons so that they don't drown.
What I think going on in this picture is that they are on a swimming championship through the big waves to be allowed to swim in a pool , Also I think they are on team but the objects are holding them up . Why I think this is because of their outfits there face expressions .
I think there are working on swimming in the ocean. They also could be doing swimming lesson or they could be doing some type of club thing. Hope they learn something with swimming because it can save you but that water don't look that deep.
It may be a swim team that is practicing they have balloons because they are in deep water. If a kid goes down they will stay near the top of the water until help comes. They could stay up with them in they can kinda swim.
@Ryan- thanks for your comment today! It sounds like you’re thinking about all the individuals you see here and that they might not be separate - you think they might be a team! You also are calling our attention to the balloons, and you think the balloons might help them in deep water. I’d love to know more - what do you see that makes you say it’s deep where they’re swimming?
i see kids with balloon butts swimming possibly in a marathon and adults are there to make sure they don't drown and the balloon butts are they so they can see if someone is drifted away and so they don't run them over
i see little kids swimming in water with balloons and there is a jet ski.
they are going throw a race and are being suprivesed by some adults in the background
they look like they're doing a triathlon and they're using the balloons as indicator.
@Brayden Donth- thanks for your comment this morning! I hear you thinking about the event we are witnessing here, and wondering about the relevance of the balloons. What do you see that makes you say this might be a triathlon?
The yellow team is going to win!
Thanks again @Chris for sharing another comment on today’s image! It sounds like you’re continuing to look at and think about this picture. You’re imagining this might be a competition, with color-coordinated teams. What do you see that makes you say there might be teams competing for a win?
At first I thought the balloons were to aid flotation and I was wondering what happens if the balloons burst, but then I noticed that the girl at the front has pink flotation devices on her back as well as the balloons. Perhaps the balloons make the children more noticeable in case they get separated from the group.
@Chris - thanks for your comment this morning! It sounds like your thoughts about this image changed the longer you looked at it, and that you were able to discover more details that amended your thinking. At first, it sounds like you were concerned about the possibility of the balloons bursting, and so you were thinking perhaps about how important the balloons are for keeping the children afloat. You’re now thinking that the balloons are not flotation devices but are instead perhaps to increase visibility and still perhaps used for safety somehow. What do you see that makes you say there’s a risk they might be separated from the group and need to be easily seen? And what more can we find?
This photo looks like its taking place in-we are guessing China? Maybe a kids camp? There is a few adults present directing the kids. We are thinking the yellow balloons are carried by the boys and the white balloons are carried by the girls. Maybe it's a race or the kids are learning to swim.
@Color Photo class Villa Maria College - welcome to this morning's discussion and thank you for your comment!
I appreciate you guessing at what might be going on here, even if you're unsure. You're thinking this might be taking place in China, at a camp for kids. I hear you wondering if it's perhaps a race or a lesson, and you're thinking the balloons might indicate gender somehow. What do you see that makes you say the swimmers might either be racing or learning to swim? And what more can we find?
@VTS Moderator
Hi! Thanks for responding to our comment!
We think this is a race because the adult is pointing the children in a specific direction and they are in a line. The expressions on their faces look like they are struggling. This could indicate a race.
The backpacks they are wearing are helping to keep them afloat, which we think indicates them learning to swim.
We are also wondering where this is...a lake, a river? What is the wall in the background?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts so far, commenters!
I am hearing some people agreeing with each other - @Finn and @Cason agree that this might be an image of a swimming lesson. @David and @Madison think this might be an event only for children. @Hannah K. and @Arca think they might be in an outdoor body of water, like a lake or a river, or as @Shailey mentioned, perhaps even the ocean.

swim lessons
In this picture, there seems to be a group of children swimming in a formation with balloons on their backs. I think this is because they are partaking in a swim race and the balloon are there to keep them from drowning. There are also adult in the water. They could be there to help guide the kids along the path so they know which direction to go in. Furthermore, the kids appear to be in a lake of some sort because the water doesn't look like it's flowing, so it probably isn't a river. Besides the balloons, it also looks like there are small pool noodle pieces on the backs of the kids which are probably also there to prevent them from drowning since they are in a big body of water.
@Riya, thank you for your comment this morning! It sounds like you are looking carefully in this image and noticing details that allow you to come to a similar conclusion as @Hannah K. - that is to say, you think this might be a children's swim race taking place in a lake. You're also noticing several details that you think are there as safety precautions to protect the kids - the balloons, the adults in the water, and the small pool noodles on their backs.
I wonder if you could tell us more - what do you see that makes you say the water might not be flowing here (thus making it a lake not a river)?

@Hannah K. - thanks so much for your comment this morning!
I hear you noting the group of figures you see here appears to be children, and you're calling our attention to the setting - you think it might be a lake.
You're also noting some details - the two balloons per child in noticeable colors, the lack of lifejackets on the adults, and the direction of the kids' focused faces - which lead you to believe that this is a long-distance swimming lesson or test.
What more can we find?
It looks like they are trying to reach the kids or help the kids find their way to the beach to win. It might be a party for someone's birthday and he or she wanted to go to the beach for their party.
Morning, @Ben, and thank you for your comment today. I hear you offering several ideas as to what's going on here - and to me that sounds like you are noticing there is ambiguity in this image, or several ways to interpret it.
It sounds like you're thinking about what event we are looking at. Are the adults trying to reach the kids? Is it a competition? Is it someone's birthday?
Could you tell us more? What do you see that makes you say it might be someone's birthday party?
In this picture, I see many young children in a river, learning how to swim. They must be learning them to swim because they are all very young, and they are following the direction which adults are pointing. In addition, I think that they probably don't know how to swim just yet, due to them wearing balloons to keep them afloat. A reason that they could be having a swim lesson in a river or large source of water is because the area that they are in doesn't have many indoor swimming pools. I can tell that all of these children appear to be of a Far East Asian nationality, so maybe their nation or city doesn't have a widespread use of swimming pools yet, and they are thus using the only source of water that they can find.
Thanks for your comment @Arca! I hear you claiming that the young children we see here might be learning how to swim, and you're backing up that claim with several pieces of evidence - the pointing adults, the balloons, and their age. You are also wondering about the location of this image, thinking it is potentially outside, in what is possibly an Asian country, and that this might have been the only option in which to hold the lesson.
Let's keep looking - what more can we find?

@Hannah S Good observation heheh
The kids look like they're swimming or in a race or they are learning how to, but with balloons. It looks like they're in a lake or a pond.
@Kayley - Thank you for your comment this morning. I so appreciate hearing you think through several different ideas in your comment.
It sounds like you are speculating, or guessing, that the kids we see here are either in a race or learning how to swim, and that the balloons might have something to do with that. You are also wondering what type of water they're in.
Could you tell us more? What do you see that makes you say they are either swimming a race or are learning to swim?
It looks like they are trying to teach the kids how to swim or to not be afraid to be in the lake. It also look like it is a lawn party of some sort because there is a tent like thing in the background.
It looks like these kids are having a race in the ocean and they have balloons as a guide to get back to shore. Maybe the balloons show what place they are in or they are floaties for them. It doesn't have much in the background to know exactly where they are.
I think the kids are getting a swimming lesson because there is an adult out there pointing at something. I think that he is pointing and telling them where to go.
It looks like the kids are creating an s shape while wearing white and yellow balloons the adults are helping them make the s shape also it looks looks like there in asia.
i think this is possibly a pattern of an S shape in a lake/ocean in Asia. There are kids with white and yellow balloons making the pattern . There are adults helping the s shape .
Hello @Mrs.Ridout's 5th grade ESL! Your class is noticing the overall visual pattern that is formed in this image -- something that looks like a S shape in a body of water formed by the kids with the yellow and white balloons. What did you see that made you say the adults are helping to create the shape?
Thanks all for your close looking and for sharing your interpretations and questions. Keep up the good work!
Many of you have contributed your ideas on what exactly these individuals are doing in the water. @Grant @Julia and @Madison think they might be part of a swim class, as @Madison has noticed they are all wearing goggles and swim caps. @Mrs. Livingston 2nd grade class thinks it might be a swim test or competition of sorts. @Brynna agrees that it might be a competition, and @Alexis thinks it could be more specifically, a race. @Graande Duds has suggested that they might be training or @ethan thinks they are swimming for a cause (cancer).
What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? What's going on in this picture?
What more can we find?
I think it was a swim lesson or some kind of ritual becuse of the temple in the backround
I think there is a race going on in the water and each person has balloons to make swimming harder.
There are people in the water pointing so they might be pointing to a check point.
There is also a person on a boat watching the people
swimming.
I am guessing that they are in china or korea because they all are ( no offence ) kinda chinese looking but im not judgeing.
some also have googgles and swim hats, there are also kids in the water so it might be a race for just kids.
there is also a wall along the edge and it could be the great wall of china.
Good morning @gabby bagley and thank you for sharing your ideas with us. Your main focus seems to be on the people in the picture -- figuring out what they are doing, where they are headed, who is overseeing them, what they are wearing, the range of ages pictured, and where this could be set. We know that we cannot determine where someone is from based on their looks. You mentioned that you thought this might be set in China as you noticed what could be the great wall along the edge of the water. You also mentioned another potential location could be Korea. What did you see that made you say that?
In this picture it looks like they are doing a race of some sort for kids. The grownups are making sure that they don't drown. I think the balloons are like the outline of the track. I also think this is in China or somewhere near there.
it takes place in japan and is a class taking swim instructions and the yellow and white thing a flotes
Hi @tanya sanchez. Remember to provide evidence for your ideas. What do you see that makes you say that?
It looks like the children are learning how to swim and the older adults are telling them wear to swim to and I think those balloons their wearing is basically like life jackets and the keep the children up so they don't drown in the water.
I think that there was a swimming class in session. I think this because they are only kids there I think that they were learning how to swim;I also know that when you go sign up for swim class they tell you that you need goggles and they give you swim cap.I think they are wearing the balloons so they do not drown.
This picture looks like a class is taking a swimming class and are swimming in a lake of some sort. They are using balloons so that might help these children stay above the water. And there is about 4 instructors that are helping the children swim so they don't drown. There also is a jetski I think in the far back with the other kids. It looks like they are in china because of the wall in the far back and their religious.
Our class thought the children were either in a competition or a swimming test. The orange in the picture looks like it is marking the track. We noticed that there are two different colors. The colors might represent two teams from different countries or city schools. We noticed that it is not an ocean because there is a barrier.
Good morning @Mrs. Livingston 2nd Grade, welcome to the image discussion! You all seem to be unpacking this image and noticing all the colors -- orange as potential place markers, and yellow and white as possibly denoting different teams. You're also thinking about what possibilities you can eliminate based on the evidence you have, and since you see a barrier this body of water is likely not the ocean.
What more can we find?
I think they are doing that for a cancer thing or mabye a activity for swimming and the guy back there it pointing for them to go that way and the line is so long like a snake.
I think the children are competing in a swimming contest because, they're wearing swimsuits and goggles. Their are balloons that look like an optical or to keep them from going out of the border line.
It looks like a race with the kids in china like a competition.
@Alexis
What evidence in the picture allows you to assume that the children are in a competition? In addition, how do you know that they are in China?
it looks like the swimmers are competing in the olympics and have weights also it looks like they are in china.
Hi @hailey! Keep looking. What do you see that makes you say they might be competing in the Olympics? That they are weighted? That this is set in China specifically?
Remember to find evidence in the image to support your claims!
In my opinion children were learning to swim with the ballons help in a park´s lake on a summer camp.
I see balloons, kids, water, swimming caps, goggles, jet ski, and a hat.
I think that there is a race going on and at china and the balloons are there for teams.
I see balloons, kids, hat, swimming caps, water, jet ski
I Think that there is a race that's going on in china and the balloons are there for teams.
The children were swimming in open sea , to learn to swim, the ballons were helping the children not to drown
I think the children were having a training to escape the the war if it happens, and the baloons were helping the children not to drown and keep them together.
Welcome to the image discussion @Graande Duds! Keep looking and tell us more. What do you see that makes you say they might be preparing to escape a potential war? What do you see that makes you say the balloons might help keep the children together? Let's hear more from you and remember to cite evidence from the image!
i think that there is a merton at a beach for litte kids and they are ethir traning for it so they get it and i think that they are in a lake in flordia or in japan or china
@mallory cornish
What evidence in the picture allows you to assume that the lake is in Florida, Japan, or China?
I see like chinese kids swimming in the water/lake at swim lessons and the balloons are to keep them above water
Morning @Connor! Let's hear you expand on some of the ideas you presented. Remember to root your ideas in visual evidence found in the image. What did you see that made identify the nationality of these kids as Chinese? What did you see that made you say they are taking swim lessons? That the balloons are helping them float?
It looks like some children maybe learning to swim because they have balloons to keep them up. People are telling them wear to go and there's a jet ski which could be if a kid is drowning.
Kids, Balloons, Water, Jet-Ski
This picture shows, a group of children swimming in the lake, I think this is a swimming class with their teacher directing them where they should go.
This picture shows a group of children all swimming in a body of water. These children all have a white or yellow, some even a mixture of both, balloon keeping them afloat. There are also adults pointing them where to go, and one is on a jet-ski in case any one begins to drown. Perhaps they are sending a message with these colors, yellow and white, yellow being the color that represents bone cancer, and white representing skin cancer.
@Evan hello and thanks for sharing your ideas! It's great to hear how open you are to what this image could be. You're considering what the colors yellow and white might symbolize here. One idea you had was that they could represent two different types of cancer. What did you see that made you say that?
Keep looking and thinking! What more can we find?
It looks like a swim competition, and the balloons help signify where the children are. It looks to be somewhere in Asia. It looks to be in a lake or a river.
Hi @McKinnley! Thanks for joining the image discussion this morning. Let's hear more from you and remember to tell us how you came to your conclusions!
What did you see that made you say this might be a competition? That the balloons are meant to help track where each child is? You're also thinking about geography. What did you see that made you say this could be set in the Asian continent? That this could be a lake or a river?
Good morning everyone! Let's kick this week off with a great start by joining the conversation and puzzling through this image together. What's going on in this picture?
Look carefully, read what others have to say, and consider the many possibilities as you contribute to the discussion! Remember to root your claims in evidence found in the image. You can also engage directly with each other by clicking "reply" on their posts!
I think the children are learning how to swim, because they appear to be wearing some sort of balloons to help them float and there is a man standing in the water to direct them where to go. The water must not be very deep because the man seems to be standing in it, so it would be a good place to learn to swim.
In this photo, these kids are racing in a swimming competition I think they're doing it to raise money for a charity or their just racing. My question is what are those balloons for and why are they attached to the child?
Hi @Kendra thanks for sharing your thoughts and questions with us! You're really wondering about the motivation behind the actions in this photo -- is this a charity race or a competitive race. What did you see that made you say it might be to raise money? You're also questioning the balloon-like objects and why they might be attached to each child. What do you see that makes you say they are individually anchored to the kids here?
@Kendra good thinkingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
I see a LOT of children in a lake or something like that with balloons tied with them or they might be holding onto the strings under water. I also see a couple of adults in the water pointing to something like they want the children to go there like they are in this picture. It might be a swimming race or swimming lessons. I noticed at the middle of the top of the picture, it looks like a boat or something just floating in the water. Is this a race or swimming lessons for the children? I mostly believe this would be a race. The balloons would be with the children so others will know where the children are and how far they made it. The balloons could also be for holding up the childrens' heads up.
We noticed that a group of children are swimming across what appears to be a river. We think it is a river because of the way that the water is flowing and the area around it. We noticed that there are adults in the water with the children. We think they might be coaching or directing them to something on the shore. We noticed that the buoys seem to be guiding them and helping them. We also thought this could be some kind of race.
Greetings @Mrs. Allen's 2nd Grade class! You all are thinking about the body of water that this image is set in, and based on the surrounding area and the movement of the water think it might be a river. You're also noticing the variations of people in the water -- both children and adults, and wondering what their various roles might be. What did you see that made you say the floating items are buoys? That they might be functional in some way? What did you see that made you say this might be a race?
Keep it up!
This picture shows how these children are doing a relay to battle cancer maybe. They have balloons that are yellow and white to represent the colors of the hospital and it seems like they're on a race to finish. My question is, where is the location?
It looks like their using balloons as life jackets because there swimming and because it looks like it is deep. And there is also a guy pointing somewhere like telling them to go that way
it's a bunch of Asians and they look like kids. They could be racing and the ballon if to float them above the water.if they cant swim or they have trouble staying above water.
Hello @jaden! You're noticing the people in this image -- thinking about their age group and noticing that they look like children, and assuming their ethnicity as possibly Asian. You've also pointed out that they might be racing. What did you see that made you say these are balloons? That they could be used to help the kids float?
I think a sorta race is going on at a camp .I say that because they are little kids in water with balloons and they look like the they are swimming. They are also wearing googles and no parents are with them.
