‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8: Will Daenerys Turn? Will Dragons Fight? Is the Iron Throne Even the Point?

Great point about the pointlessness of the Iron Throne to the story resolution. Keep an eye on Sam, a symbol of the enlightenment that overthrows despotism. And look for enlightenment knowledge to defeat magic, dragons and the Night King and leverage science to change the weather and force the White Walkers into retreat.

Doesn't the face have to be surgically removed in order to be worn by a Faceless Man? If that is the case, for one of the Faceless Men to take his place, wouldn't they have had to kill Littlefinger themselves or at the very least remove his face? I haven't seen any evidence of Faceless Men being able to assume the identities of those still among the living. I am not sure that the theory of a Faceless Man being paid to take his place makes a lot of sense. Unless LIttlefinger is running around with no face at all or they have done something not previously shown and done a face swap. This seems too much like the plot of "Face/Off." Perhaps Littlefinger is really John Travolta?

@SeanD. Isn’t that weird?!

The red woman says she will return to King's Landing to die. I want to know if Tormund will get lucky with Brienne or will she and Jaime admit their love. Will the night king turn Cersei into an ice queen for himself? That would be creepy.

@Anne C Cersei as "Ice Queen"?.....now THAT sounds plausible. I doubt she would object........

Yes, what is the point? Why not odds on which of the main charactors survives? Then we can bet on what will be their roles in the new kingdom or kingdumb?

“Who cares?” asks this reader who is not a male between 18 and dead. An informal survey of FB friends indicates similar sentiments.

I will personally admit that I had watched most of this show on the television in my home and already thought it was like trying to keep up with Louisiana politics. Who knows what's coming next? It comes a point when its all just so complicated that you dont even try to make a opinion. The one thing I learned is that most of the characters they have got on Game of Thrones are like all too many others these days. If you own a 7-11 and they hear its' twenty bucks in the cash drawer, they will come in right before closing time and murder you to get it. In cold blood, no less. The number one thing I have liked is how they got it all filmed, plus all the actors. The number one thing I DID NOT like was that awful queen, who just kept pulling out her dinners to feed that nasty boy she had who was WAY too old for that business. She did it right in front of ever body like it was no big deal. They could of blocked that from the movie and saved folks from having to look at that. I also like the way they make all the languages go together, so if you're watching it all has a kind of flow to it that you can follow. All in all, I'm gone to give the show a C plus thus far. We will have to see how they handle the big ending part. Sincerely, David Terry Quail Roost Farm Rougemont, NC USA

Love the comment regarding Loisisana politics.

@CLS To be honest?......I love GOT, but I probably won't see the final season until next year or so (it's the way my life goes). In writing my "Review", I simply channelled my country great-aunts back in Tennessee.....which is, I believe, the only place I've heard elderly women refer to breasts as "dinners". ----david terry

After The Dead are defeated in The North, Dany takes aim at Cersei. She's going to use her dragons on Kings Landing but Jamie, who now fights for the north, can't let that happen and kills Dany, becoming the Queenslayer. Doesn't roll off the tongue quite like Kingslayer, eh?

What about Yara? Her uncle had taken her prisoner. I hope that storyline isn't forgotten.
