Avenatti was rushed to stardom by news media hungry for ratings and content. Didn't any these "journalists" do a speck of background research before they put him on camera.

Seth Meyers has finally summed up definitively the state of politics in this country: "Nothing matters anymore."

Avenatti, when he broke onto the scene was nothing if not entertaining in his very snarky way. I would even credit him with “speaking the truth to power”, as a sort of out-sized gadfly. But coming full circle, he apparently is just another case of a guy who’s ego outruns his intelligence. Somehow I don’t think we have heard the last of him, though.

Thank God for comedians. They reflect our culture in a way that often hits home more pointedly and vividly than a news report or opinion commentary can.
They expose the hypocrisy of those in power and give us hope that we are not alone when we shake our heads at the current state our politics at the highest level in this country.

@Morals Matter An articulate comment. Thank you for being able to capture why I appreciate Colbert and Meyers. (Fallon-not so much.)
