I think the house Really Stunning! Love the eclectic inside; giving us a glimpse of a modern family in a Victorian Facade ! Years ago, @ the time Will was born and I was already an old lady ( 83, now), I was being introduced to the computer via the library and began emailing to Harlan, as a Fan! I think his writing is fun, interesting and once in a while; almost ?deep. His characterizations are always complete and honest. He is heavy on comradeship and empathy, without being squishy! Glad to know He and his Children seem as beautiful as his home. Thank you for giving Harlan recognition in the Times!!!

That brings back memories! I grew up in that house, along with my six siblings. When my parents bought the place in the early seventies it was pretty run down. The front porch and the turret had long since rotted away and had been torn off. The front facade was clad with faux stone and giant plate glass windows. Inside the original deteriorating ceilings were covered with dropped tile ceilings. Spent my childhood and teen years in a construction zone.

I love this great Victorian house that has been so lovingly cared for. Yes, I would have enjoyed seeing more of the interior of the house, but this "teaser" was appropriate for Mr. Coben's & his family's privacy. I have read all of Coben's books, from the Myron Bolitar series to his newest novel, RUN AWAY, which is excellent, by the way. Very good article about one of my favorite mystery writers. Many thanks.

To the folks complaining about not seeing more of the house, the section is titled “Things I Love” with the description: “The apartments *and possessions* of celebrities and public figures.” I share your frustration sometimes, but to be fair...

Reading this and viewing the pictures, what fun! Next on my list, reading his new book.

Would have loved to see more of the house itself and detailing. The outside is stunning. A shame the inside view is so limited.

Would have been nice to see the house rather than close-ups of objects in the house.

I LOVE Mr. Coben's books but especially the older ones and any with Myron (Bolitar, I think) and his cohorts. SO interesting!

As the owner of a spooky old Victorian I was hoping to see slideshow photos of "Harlan Coben's Gingerbread House" not "Stuff Harlan Coben Collects."

@JammieGirl Even as the owner of a 50s ranch house, I wanted to see pictures of the house and not close-ups of his stuff.

@JammieGirl I'd like to see more of the house too but in defence of the article, it is called "What I Love"...
