Colbert should grow up. He’s the one making jokes about a mass murder and trying to somehow bring it around to his favorite schtick of blaming Trump.

When Donald Trump is finally defeated and is carried out of the White House kicking and screaming, all of the late night TV hosts should be on hand to applaud his exit. Ridicule is the best medicine for an obnoxious tyrant, especially when he has defaced every blessed thing that is good about America...
Many of us in Los Angeles have vowed to throw a party the moment that Donald Trump is no longer president.
And we will light a candle for every year that he is sentenced to prison...

‘if you’re relying on an audience agreeing with you, you’re rallying. It loses something comedically. Comedy is an intellectual pursuit, not an emotional one. ’
Late night ONLY cares about the audience agreeing...what garbage.

It portends a bleak ~ if not also totally devastated future ~ for America that so many of its citizens support the travesty that is Donald J. Trump. That Trump likes it that way calls for a speedy resolution.

Colbert is right on! The Colbert monologues put the news of the day in terms that we can all understand. As a born and brought up New Englander we use sarcasm to get a sensitive point across. It's a skill Colbert has mastered.

Thank heavens for late night comedy shows. They keep me afloat. That the writers can find humor in the tragedy that is going on in Washington shows how truly talented they are. Without their help, I would be hard pressed to find anything to smile at. Thank you, late night comedy writers and comedians!

Compare the leadership Jacinda Ardern has shown after the shootings in New Zealand with Trump’s obviously fake sympathy comments after any tragedy in the U.S. and you can see the obvious difference between a real leader and our President.

Perhaps the writer of this article could let us know what President Trump has done that Mr. Colbert would approve of--not that anyone cares what performers think any more than our next door neighbors opinions matter.

@CHN presidents set a tone the world sees us by. it is profoundly disappointing. he was elected and is entitled to his politics, but his representation of the US to the world is not who we are as a nation. if your neighbors were murdered, would you show sympathy?
