I am 12 years old and Female heroes should be the same as Male heroes. That is not fair. Women should feel just the same way as men.

I agree that there should be more female superheros because they can be great role models for kids. Girls should have more than princesses to look up to. However, I do not think that movies about female superheros should be forcibly made. When movies are forcibly made, the characters can become too stereotypical - not real enough. If we want to have good role models in female superheros, we need them to authentic. A female superhero should be just as complex as any other superhero. And yes, a young girl may easily look up to a male superhero, but it would be great for them to see a woman saving the day for once, as long as that woman is authentic, and her character isn't forced to go along with - or go totally against - the status quo.

I feel as if it should not matter the gender of the hero. the fact that you have to forcibly make a movie for feminism actually ruins the movie. Its sexist in itself that you have to have a status quo of any race or gender. There has to be a purpose for the characters role other then just to have a female character. This is the reason why Stan Lee did not want Earth 3 (current world we see in the movies) spider man to be gay, he was not homophobic but rather that Peter Parker was not gay, there could be a gay spider man in another earth but not in Earth 3. If you pay attention to not just the movies you would know that there are different dimensions thus the movie "Into the Spider-verse." Each world is different but there are constants like Spider-man, even though all the characters in one world had reversed sides, Spider-man remained as the friendly neighborhood spider. I actually dislike the fact how they did captain marvel. Women smiling shows them as weak? The directors told Brie she could not show things like that. It would have been better if there was a women super hero that always smiled even when things are against her. Smiling like that would give hope to the ones she's saving that "everything will be alright for I am here" that is why I like the character Almight. I never asked for a representation in hero movies, these characters are not so we can compare ourselves but inspire us to do good for others. Trying to make heroes as everyday citizens breaks the image.

I feel as if we could use more female superheroes in our modern day age of film. Marvel makes there movies kid friendly, so more kids are watching these more and more and as a child still these movies have really made a impact on me personally. I feel as if this goes with another article that i had read pryer about gender specific toys. toys are pushing kids into categories that society deems as normal. superheroes are no deferent its good to have more female superheroes to tell women that they do not have to bend to what society think they should be they should be free to choose there way of living there lives.

Anyone can have a super power! Including women. Women are not represented in superhero movies as much as men. I think there should be more super hero movies about women because women can fight also. Also women play a huge role of being allies and lead heroes. Young girls also need role model heroes like boys do.

@Christian I love the role model idea. girls do need a role model like Brie Larson. she does a great job at being the character but she also does really well at giving a realistic thing to look up to. In the example of a the movie the is also a pilot something that girls can do in reality and still be a hero.

@Kyle Mitchell From what I've seen and heard, at first I though Brie was just a terrible actor till I found out why she didn't smile almost not at all. The directors told her not to because apparently women smiling is stereotyping and shows weakness. I already dislike this idea, She's a hero not a solder, she chose to fight for others, smiling is something a person needs to reassure themselves and others in bad situations. Also realistic? NOTHING isn't suppose to be too realistic about the characters at least not physically but inside of them. You can relate more to Teenage Groot then Black Panther, Black Widow, , and especially Captain Marvel. You don't relate to the characters because of what they look like but because of WHO they are as a person. I can relate to captain america because we want to fight for our home and because how he couldn't join the army at first because of his physique, yet I'm female and I can not join because I need to take meds. There is one character much better then her who is strong. Squirl Girl and not only that but the fans of the comics like her. Why not talk about her? Many wouldn't because she doesn't 'act' like a solder while captain marvel does.

I feel like if I were a boy the opinion I'm about to share wouldn't even be read. I personally believe that there are a lot of unappreciated super hero's who are woman and highly more likable. For Captain Marvel to be a woman that was unfunny and uninteresting when the comics have shown her as a black woman in the past, that would have been the better representation of a woman trying to get into the airforce and experiencing struggles. This was all very forced and overrated

@Mya I could see how the struggling of a women to join the air force would be a good movie concept, but marvel is a corporate business there point is to get more people to watch the movie to make money. sadly the best way to do that is to make it finny and action filled to amuse to the hole family. i feel that marvel did a good job still tho because of the amount of people they got the message to with the way they did it. Hate to say it but a lot less people would have seen the movie if it was made the way you explain it to in the comics.

@Kyle Mitchell No marvel did this movie for the feminists and they even admitted that, I've watched spoilers and reviews of it and even seen many clips and I KNOW I won't EVER watch this movie. They lost me when they tried to push agendas, in fact no one really liked her in the comics either, yet there is a female hero that is well liked. Squirl Girl although wacky she is weirdly OP from what my dad told me. I would relate to her more then most of these emotionless heroes. Its not normal to not show emotion.
